Hey everyone I’ve been meaning to write this in hopes of helping others who have issues with their babies reflux!

My wife (32F) and I (32M) had dealt with really bad reflux for our baby from 1-3.5/4 months. He is now 9 months healthy and in the 90+% of weight so parents, don’t be scared! We dealt with the weird noises all night from his breathing, spitting up consistently day/night and overall fussiness due to not sleeping well, so trust me when I say it will get better. Spitting up is a normal reflex for a baby, don’t get scared - it’s projectile vomit that’s worrisome.

Below are the things that worked for our formula fed baby:

- We would burp him more frequently than typical, 3-4 times for one bottle to help get those gases out
- We gave him probiotics as that helped with his gut microbiome. 1x a day per the bottles instructions
- (probably what helped most) We started adding gelmix to his bottles (very little at first) and that was the real game changer. It thickened his milk and helped keep it down.
- we also wedged him ever so slightly to his side so he wouldn’t choke on his spit up at night

In all parents, you’re ok things will get better it’s all about time, patience and try to sleep because when you’re not tired you can handle anything!
