The lineup says they are performing, but I don’t see any further information than that

The Lemonheads have this clean sort of punky sound that seems quite simple at first but is actually very much its own thing. It has a brightness but it lacks the sophomoric cringe of college rock or the REM-ness of jangle pop. Wondering if anyone could recommend me some similar bands.

Types of bands I am not looking for (but do like): Rancid, NOFX, Distillers, Green Day, X, Bad Religion

One thing I have noticed from my time in academia is how it attracts all types, some of whom are very into the culture of academia and some who are less so. Do you consider academics your “people”, or do you find your chief interpersonal connections elsewhere?

On the LW from Scarborough to Union right now. Two fare inspectors were going absolutely nuts on two young girls for not paying. I mean I get it, it’s better to pay…but he was screaming at them and snatched one of their phones at one point. There was another one, a huge bald guy with tattoos, screaming at another guy in a similar way, the he started banging on the bathroom door shouting “I will open this door! Get out now! I’m not joking!” It was really over the top and everyone was looking around like “wtf is going on?” These guys were acting like SWAT, and it was honestly pretty brutal to watch. Meanwhile, there was a third long-haired fare inspector being chill. Managed to get pictures of them but can’t post here.
