I live alone and my SO is out of town for a family funeral. My cat passed away a couple of weeks ago and my stuffed animals are tired of hearing me complain. So here I am.

It's rare, thankfully, but I sometimes get flare in my jaw and I woke up with one today. Chewing, talking, etc., just make it worse. I had to eat so had pasta since it's soft and doesn't require chewing like meat, etc. I've taken 100mg of Tramadol and it's still killing me. I have a CBP topical I use sometimes but don't see how it will help in this physical location.

Thanks for letting me vent.

Looks like they've got the cause of the fire.

Seeing the Scientology post made me decide to post this. I received a hand-addressed (my name, or current resident) envelope with a return address I didn't recognize. It was a Jehovah's Witness pamplet. Weird.

Walnut Fire Update as of 7:10PM:

Forward progress of the Walnut Fire has stopped. All evacuation warnings have been lifted. Anyone reentering the area is asked to be careful and watch out for fire crews working in the area.

Do you ever want to say this to friends/loved ones who ask questions, etc., that show they have no idea how big California is? I'm in LA and I get this every time one of these things makes the national news: fire, earthquake, landslide, flood, etc. No, that is no where near me. It's hundreds of miles away...

And then there is the: we're coming to visit and would like to take a day trip to SF, Napa, etc. Those are 400-500 miles from here!

These aren't stupid people (generally), they just can't seem to grasp the size of the state, depsite having seen maps of the US since they were kids.

I see so many posts from people who have no one. Their parents don't care, family is not close, no good friends. Many of these people are minors with no place to turn. I can't imagine what that's like. I'm so thankful that I've always had a loving family and many dear friends.

I'm going to need to take one or the other from time to time because I need pain meds and can't drive on them. Is one better then the other in the Burbank area? Thanks.

Five years post TBI. I have a lot of problems with food and have lost about 20 pounds as a result. Smell, texture, etc. Sometimes I can't taste anything, othertimes the taste is "off". It's not consistent, though there are some foods that I used to like that I can't stand now. And I'll get on a kick where I want one thing every day - for a while. Then, in an instant, I don't want it and might not want it again for a long time. This is difficult for others to understand. "What? But you love that", or "You had a bunch of fortune cookies for months and wouldn't touch them. Not you want them?'. Sometimes I just don't want anything. I drink Atkins protein drinks when that is the case.

Just venting. Had to run some errands. Going north on Victory by Barrigan's, two guys in an older BMW with dark tinted windows run the light at Chandler. Just pull out making a left onto Victory. Didn't even slow down. Then, going west on Burbank lost count of the people running the stop signs pulling out on Burbank.

I know it happens but I raised so much in such a short time
