I have a boyfriend for almost 5 years, and he’s taking out loans under my name dahil di sya qualified. Nababayaran naman nya ung previous loans nya pero pahirapan ko singilin na minsan pinag aawayan pa namin. Recently, he had an emergency and need talaga ng funds, so kahit alam kong may history sya na mahirap singilin, pina-loan ko sya dahil kelangan talaga ng pera.

However, nung due na ng loan nya, he told me to cover for it kasi nalimutan nya ung wallet nya sa bahay nila but promised to return it back to me pag uwi nya. Kaso pag uwi nya, buong araw ako nag intay wala syang paramdam, hanggang sa nalaman ko nakaalis na pala sya ng city namin para bumalik na sa work nya.

Honestly, hindi naman ung pera kung bakit ako nagagalit at nadidisappoint, kundi ung paulit ulit nya ko pinapaasa na magbabago sya. He even let me wait at sinabihan akong pupunta sya para magbayad, pero malalaman ko umalis na pala sya.

Don’t get me wrong, in terms of ugali, he’s gentle and loving, pero sa aspect na ito talagang nakakafrustrate sya. It’s the feeling of leaving his responsibilities to me.

I decided not to message him since yesterday, to see if ano magiging reaction nya, but he just sent me a good morning text and other 2 messages but that’s just it, no apologies, not even addressing the issue.

In addition, he told me to pay for our airbnb and promised to return the money when he got home. However, I waited all day but he did not come to our house to pay, and the last thing I knew, he’s already in another city to return to his work.

I’m feeling disappointed but I already expected he would stood me up. He’s always had a hard time paying debts and I always had to cover for it. We had to fight about it and he never learned. Honestly, my disappointment comes from the thought of letting me wait but he had no intention to fulfill his promise, and that I feel he had no remorse for what he did, knowing I’d be spending that money for something important. He did not reply to my message last night, and did not have the guts to tell me he’s already left home.

Earlier this morning, he sent me a good morning text, disregarding what happened last night, as if nothing happened. I don’t want to talk to him so I left him unread. He sent me a message again around in the afternoon, and that’s just it. No follow up text. No messages apologizing for what he did. He just let me fade away, like it doesn’t matter to him if I did not message him back for a whole day.

I’m just feeling tired and drained knowing that my trust for him is at its lowest. Is it really that hard to communicate? Every time I try to raise this issue to him, it’s either he points the finger back to me or he just agrees to everything I say but there would still be no progress in his character.
