TIL Ford Puma Lights Stay On

So while I was out getting some beer for the match later the wife hoovered the car. On my return I noticed the rear right running light was on. Locked and unlocked the car, started the motor, turned it off stayed on. Opened and closed all the doors, same with the boot, still stayed on. Went to move the car back and forth and as I went forward I noticed the indicator was on. Turned it off got out the car, locked the car. Light has gone off. Got in, put the indicator on, locked the car, light was back on. Checked the front and the light was on there too.

TL:DR If you leave your indicator on when you lock the car, the running lights on the side you’re indicating towards stay on.

Thought I’d share in case someone searches for this “fault”.

Fresh Pulls - Inking Suggestions Please

Hi all just pulled these from an off the shelf mould because I don’t have a 3D printer yet and I’m not looking to I sell. I also don’t have a pressure pot.

In case it doesn’t come through well, the gold flake is in a clear resin and then the coloured was poured on top of it in the honey stage. I quite like the results.

Do you think it inking

  1. most numbers in gold and then leaving the high value numbers uninked. That’s where most of the gold sits
  2. trying to match the high number inking with the resin colour
  3. inking everything the same and a different colour altogether?

Thanks in advance.

Personalised badge for new car

We recently got a new car and based on the license plate and my daughter’s favourite band the family have named the car Felix. I ordered a badge for it as a silly joke and this is what arrived today.
It’s not even in the style of font 3.

Anyone else started getting a lot of ads like these recently?

Please let me know if this isn’t something I’m allowed to post. Hoping because one of them is from Reddit it’s not a rule breaker.

Why is no one looking at great female voice actors for Donut?

We already have some great female voice actors out there.
Tara Strong
Grey Delise
Jessica DiCicco
Hynden Walch
Linda Cardellni
Eden Sher

In that that case why not John DiMaggio, Dana Snyder and Mark Hamill for male voices?

Clutch This, Clutch That

I've started binging the podcast after two read throughs of the eight books and I've never heard two guys talking about clutches so much on a podcast that's not about cars. It's exhausting. Come on guys, it's time to change up your vocabulary, take the handbrake off, get out of automatic and step it up a gear. Most of the pod is wheely good, I'm along for the ride, I'm on board, but I feel like something has to be said before your lose your spark(plug) and start to stall. After all you don't want to pis(ton) that one listener off

Wispy(ish) - Inking Advice

So I was going for a cool glow in the dark wispy streak going through the dice. Thought I’d waited too long to add the colour because the resin was getting really thick but it still mostly sunk to the bottom. I thought I’d share anyway.

Also really pleased with how clear these are straight from the mould without access to a vacuum pot.

Any inking colour recommendations?

Not my first dice, but my forst shelling attempt.

I bought a second off the shelf squish mould and discovered the dice were a little smaller than my existing mould. So I gave shelling a try.
I don’t have a pressure pot and still have to master sanding and polishing but I’m quite happy with these.

Edit: can’t seem to be able to edit my awful spelling in the title.

I ordered them all! Or so I thought.

So I ordered a box set of books 1,2,3 & 4 and then books 5,6,7 & 8 separately. Books 5,6,7 & 8 arrived last night and I’ve just had confirmation the rest arriving shortly. Then I noticed the product image.

How many times can you use a mould?

Might sound like a daft question but I was weighing up making my own blank mould but thought I'd have a look online first to see what's available to just buy and use without the extra work.

Found someone on Esty selling a full set of blanks and the outers but in the description it says "the mould can last 10-15 casts". Surely that's poor quality or am I as clueless as I feel?

D4 Issues

Hi all, love the results you guys are getting on here. Everything’s beautiful.

I’ve been using excess resin from other projects to make dice and have noticed this issue with most of my D4s.

What’s causing this? Is a bubble getting trapped at the bottom of the mould or is the mould I purchased just rubbish? Any advice? I don’t have a pressure pot.

Also, does anyone get anything decent out of chameleon powders? I made some and they look good but obviously when you sand you sand off the powder you burnished into the mould. The alternative is to mix it with the resin which gives varying results.

PS. I’m awaiting a delivery of sandpapers and polishes, please don’t judge my finishing. 🫣

Edit for update: thanks for the advice all. Managed to get a decent D4 removed from the mould this morning after trying the toothpick trick to remove any bubbles that might have been created. So it looks like that’s the issue not the mould.

I am going to invest in another mould set that has an alternate D4 shape that I don’t think existed when i used to buy dice as a kid. Just to try someone new.
I’m also going to sand down a failed chameleon set and make my old moulds to create inserts (blanks?) with as the ones I’ve seen on here look so cool.
