Finished a very chonky squishy spin! Pen for scale

140 yards weighing in at just over 16 ounces. I used a lightly dyed targhee wool blended with some little pops of sunrise inspired colors with tussah silk and soy fibers. Added in a few teeswater locks.

Which ink to pair with my pen?

Swatched some inks I thought looked nice with my new pen, but not sure which one to ink up with, what would you pick?

Hide and Seek!

Gwenny loves to dive and crawl under the bed to 'hide' when playing and if she can't see you, then clearly you can't see her!

What does my space tell you about me?

Slowly working on my space for the past year and things are starting to feel just right! Curious as to the insight it may give about me.

A look through my living room

So I JUST had the find of the decade and got this Havenview Pied-A-Terre sofa I've dreamt about for years for an absolute steal. It took a lot of work fitting through doorways and halls, but is now in its spot in my living room and I'm over the moon!

I closed on this home about a year ago, it's a victorian with many original features, including very small rooms.

I do not have a coffee table or side tables (there is a table behind the sofa) as one of my dogs has epilepsy and has bumped into them in the past.

On my list to get:

- Curtains

- Rug

- Maybe new throw pillow(s)

I'm looking at some tapestry style curtains, a thinner woven patterned rug to layer over the white one (so the white edges of the rug are still visible) and maybe some new throw pillows - looking at colors to match the walls, or a salmon color to match some of the sofa details.

There is a TV not pictured (sorry!) in a corner opposite the sofa and I need to get an actual corner cabinet as the current table makes it stick out from the wall a fair bit, but budget is limited and I am looking at building my own (I am power tool familiar and crafty) and setting up a curtain style cover for the bottom.

Anyway, hope y'all enjoy looking through! About 90% is thrifted/second hand and any feedback or input is welcomed. I enjoy a true maximalist style (variation in colors and patterns/textiles, not excessive clutter) with a lean towards antique/vintage and botanical things.

Happy Sunday 🌿🌼

Just some fresh picked flowers from the backyard in an recycled jelly jar. My pups had the best time helping me find flowers.

Someone finally went up the stairs all on her own for the first time at 9 months old

Guinevere has done fine with porch steps, or just a few stairs, but not a full flight of stairs. She has been too scared or anxious to go up on her own to the second floor of our home until now! I went up, a few minutes later I turn around and there she was, right behind me. She got lots of praise and pets, then she was too scared to go DOWN and had to be carried. Hopefully she will go down on her own soon!

The stairs are carpeted, but are a bit short and steep, even my other pup hates these stairs, so I'm very proud of Gwenny.

Snagged my dream sofa for a tiny fraction of the retail price

It just barely fit through the doorways and hall turns, but finally got it in the living room! Now to do some rearranging.

It's practically like new, but I've gone ahead and given it a good deep clean. Solid kiln dried wood frame and the chinoiserie fabric is cotton linen blend, the velvet is cotton velvet with 100% cotton pile but still a touch of polyester. Partial down filled seat cushion is plan to take the inner foam core out and replace with natural latex foam core. Got it for ~$150.

First fell in love with this sofa years ago but could never afford it. I am ecstatic! May be a white whale for me but I truly never expected to find it second hand.
