Moths, Standoff, and Storms Past
Been a few days since we had quite a few storms roll through high winds and colder temps but I did manage to get out last night and find mostly moths but also a lady bug larva and a weevil face to face haha

Took a few rounds around the back yard finally managed to snap a tiger beetle and a few other new critters 🤩 all but the first photo was single shot
Om1 Mk2 + M.zuiko 60mm
Walked the edge of a river to see what subjects I could find, it was pretty windy but still managed to get a few good shots 😁
I love rainbow wings! Here's a few other shots I got yesterday,
if you captured any cool wings yourself please feel free to drop them ! I'd love to see 🤩
Single shot Om1 Mk2 + M.zuiko 60mm.
Did you ever take dandelions as a kid and blow all the seeds off to make a wish? 🤔
That use to be something I remembered vividly as a kid the nearby park had thousands of dandelions all the time sad I don't ever see near as many anymore these days 🥲
All photos taken with Om1 mk2
1: moments after this photo the inch worm proceeded to body slam the lady bug onto the ground. (Was hilarious to watch through the lens)
2: saw this fly squatting weird followed it to a couple different leaves until I was able to snag a shot. 🤣
And then a few other misc photos I took throughout the day,
These guys (harvestman) will never not crack me up, they way they move around and how different they look depending on the angle you look at em 🤣
Om1 Mk2 + M.zuiko 60mm
Got a few shots last night I was pretty happy with, never knew June bugs heads look like ducks 🤣
Been trying out some new things with iso settings ect as well as attempting to bracket even just 1-7 photos to get a little extra depth without a full deep stack as I've started to notice if everything is sharp is anything sharp? Without a bit of blur I kinda feel like my images have been looking flat on some of my bigger stacks.
Completely knocked out after his 20 minute long zoomie run, refueling for the next go 😌🥹
Standing tall! This dude was very interesting looking, got a side stacked shot, tried a single then a stacked over the shoulder. 😍
Might be my favorite crab Spider shot I've gotten yet 😍
Weather is having a hard time deciding if it wants to be nice or cold and windy but I still get out there and look 🥲
Few stacks of some guys that stood still for me. bonus Mantis single shots 😁 to be fair those guys are quick !
Om1 Mk2 - M.zuiko 60mm
This small guy was perfectly still this morning plenty log enough for me to practice a hand full of different stacks and background cards 🥰
Spent a good bit of the day yesterday photographing, not sure what it is, a few I like a majority I don't. But success or failure Im here to share 🙏 😅
This months goal, focus bracket. I had the realization last night that I almost always do single shots, I haven't yet really tapped into the om1 mk2 potential yet when it comes to focus bracketing.
So last night my only focus was doing such and even if a stack fails I always came out with at least a good single shot to choose from.
Here are my results and finds from last night failed stack single shots included

Well this is it April down, as a beginner I spent a lot of time trial and error learning everything I could and practicing as often as the weather would allow.
A complete camera system change from the Canon R100 over to the Om1 mk2 so that was a big jump and adjustment for me.
Here are some of my personal and community favorites I took through the month of April and thank you all for your kind words and appreciation 😁
Welp I did my best jumped a few different fields and tree lines 🥲
