Someday, I want to open a safehouse

Someday if I get the money, I would love to buy some land somewhere out in nature and open a safe house for those leaving high control groups/cults. Since so many of us left with nothing and no support, it would be a halfway house for people to escape, recover, and find resources for their new life.

It would help people find jobs or go to college, offer therapy, community with others in the same position. I also would offer optional financial classes, cooking classes, art therapy, archery, horsebackriding, nature therapy, psilocybin therapy (literally saves lives!), help people find their hobbies and passions, DnD and game nights, movie nights watching stuff we were never allowed to (like themed Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings nights), etc.

Obviously it would just be a place to land for a bit and not a permanent housing situation, but I think it would help a lot. I hope someday to get the finances for it. I would call it "House of Hope" (bonus points if you play Baldur's Gate 3 and understand the reference haha).

Went from homeless to thriving

For anyone discouraged over the time we wasted in the cult, it is never too late to follow your dreams! I left at 28, went through shunning and homelessness, and now I travel the country full-time selling my art and jewelry. I just started to celebrate holidays and birthdays and go all out for them! Also, trying new things has been fun. Of course, some days are still painful even 6 years later, but they already took enough from us, don't let them take your future happiness!

Photo of my booth and product at the largest festival I ever vended--70k people! I never thought I would get in and it was a dream come true! Start that business, pursue that hobby because life is short.

I redid my booth finally!

I have been traveling full-time for expos for years and finally redid my booth. it was an ugly, plain black before with shelves only. This new setup went well, however, I didn't know I had a corner booth or else I would have brought my panels for the empty corner. (These photos were also taken when my booth was half empty a few days in and I will be replacing the flimsy necklace displays).

Boo Seattle?

I have an opportunity to vend Boo Seattle and was wondering if anyone who has gone can say whether it's really busy or not. I was told 10-20k people per day, is that true? The booth fee is large so I'm weighing options. TIA!

Did anyone find the real butterfly earrings I left?

Thank you to those who bought from my booth in Good Life! Did anyone find these earrings I left in the forest? Also lost a necklace that was a black and green butterfly with an opal centers by accident. 😅 Hope it found a good home.
