Target said they had several NeeDohs in stock
This is what they actually had
Pharmacist refusing to fill RX unless my insurance covers it?
I’m very taken aback. Is this normal? I get 15mg Adderall XR and I don’t have the best insurance so it’s not covered. My doctor gives me a coupon and it’s inexpensive enough that I just pay for it out of pocket. I’ve been doing this for 3 years.
The pharmacy I go to has a new pharmacist and every time I get my prescription filled she acts like I’m doing something wrong.
Todays interaction went like this
Her: what’s going on with your insurance?
Me: I don’t know, it doesn’t cover it so I use a coupon every month
Her: I know but you can’t use a coupon month after month
Me: oh I didn’t know there was a policy against that? My doctor is the one providing the coupon
Her: well I’ll fill it today but next time If you want to get it filled I’m going to need it to go through the insurance
I’ve been extremely nice to all the staff and never fill early etc. just confused about what’s happened
ADHD and anxiety
I have an appointment with my Psychiatrist tomorrow and plan to bring this up so not looking for medical advise but wanted to see if anyone else is in the same boat and what worked for you.
I’ve been on 20mg of adderall for several years now with no problems and everything has been great. Recently, and I believe due to some added stress, I’ve been having a lot of anxiety and feelings of panic at times but mostly at night.
Is anyone dealing with treating both adhd and anxiety?
Anyone else’s parents still traumatized from growing up in Soviet Armenia?
My parents grew up in Armenia in the 60s/70s and moved to America in early 80s. My mom in particular grew up very poor. Despite being in America over 40 years, she is still genuinely concerned we are going to starve even though we are very well off. I know the typical Armenian mother always wants to feed everyone but this is an actual fear of hers. Now that I’ve had kids, she’s worried the kids won’t have enough to eat and brings over several loaves of bread a day which ends up getting wasted. When she watches my kids she overstuffs them to the point where it’s too much.
I don’t think it’s doing enough harm that we need to do something about it but wondering if anyone else has had the same experience
So far so good with Inositol
I started taking Inositol about 2 weeks ago working my way up to 4g a day. Currently on 3g myo & D chiro and today was the first day I noticed I didn’t have a crazy sugar crash or intense tiredness after eating a piece of cake.
I haven’t noticed any weight loss and it’s actually making me feel more hungry but I’m hoping that is a side effect that will subside.
Any similar experiences?
How much pretend play is too much
I know pretend play is developmentally normal at this age (5.5 yo) but my daughter literally plays pretend from the second she wakes up to the second she goes to bed. It’s a mix of playing pretend with toys or pretending to be some character. She goes through phases of being a cat and crawling around everywhere and meowing.
It got to a point where she was pretending to be a cat during her entire gymnastics class and sleeping in the sun like a cat so we had to tell her she needs to pay attention during gymnastics and actually do what the teacher is telling her.
I don’t want to discourage her creativity but it just seems like too much and I’m hoping it doesn’t affect her when starting kindergarten this fall
Should I stay or should I go
Accounting supervisor in Industry, salary 110k plus 10% bonus (HCOL), no CPA.
I’m going on year 4 of having the same title. It’s kind of a common trend at my company for people to keep the same role for 10 years etc which makes it impossible to move up. There’s almost no chance I get promoted to Manager unless I make a lateral move which I’m not sure I want to do.
If I were younger it would be a no brainer, I’d hop to the next opportunity but what’s holding me back is that this job is so flexible. I go into the office a handful of times a month, work 9-4, and with little kids in daycare this is super convenient.
I’m worried that if I leave I’ll get put in a less convenient situation but also think it might look horrendous to have a supervisor title for 5+ years on my resume.
Estheticians constantly pushing products
Maybe just a rant but lately I feel like I can’t get a facial without the esthetician pushing expensive products. I hate this so much it’s turned me off from getting facials. I understand they most likely get a commission but sometimes they are even trying to sell the products during the service when you’re supposed to be relaxing!
Decision Fatigue
Anyone deal with this and what helps you? I bought a house in 2024 and I’m embarrassed to say I have several rooms that are completely empty. I keep looking at dining room sets, can’t decide what I want, get frustrated and stop. I feel like I literally can’t sit down and just make a choice.
Heavily encouraged to use AI at work
I work in industry and as the title states, we are being heavily encouraged to use Microsoft CoPilot. We have to attend weekly meetings to improve our skills with using AI. I know this is probably the trajectory accounting will eventually follow and I need to adapt. Anyone else in this situation?
A million tiny cherry angiomas?
Don’t know what’s going on with my arms lately. Looks much worse in person but all of a sudden I have eczema and what looks like a ton of tiny cherry angiomas
High quality kids shows in Eastern Armenian
Any recommendations for good YouTube shows in Eastern Armenian? My 5 year old struggled a lot with speech so we had to focus on English first as it came easier to her. She understands a lot of Armenian but hesitates speaking and I want to strengthen it.
A lot of the shows we’re finding on YouTube are bad quality/ audio is bad and she can’t hear the words clearly enough.
Anyone else feel like absolute garbage when starting Spironolactone?
I know this is most likely one of those things that’s going to take time for my body to adjust but I just started on 50mg of Spiro. I take it at night and In the morning I feel like I got hit by a bus. Im then so tired i can barely make it through the day.
Anyone else experience this and did it get better?
Anyone an admissions reader?
I’m an accountant for my main job and have some time on my hands during the day. Don’t really want to do bookkeeping at the moment for a J2 so I’ve been applying to admissions reader jobs for colleges. Seems fairly simple and is usually temporary which would be good for me.
Anyone have experience with this?
Food Noise?
When I first started Adderall it would perfectly take away food noise and not fully suppress hunger but just enough that I wasn’t bingeing. Fast forward to having my second baby, taking a long break from being on meds, and then starting them again. It’s a complete 180. Food noise all day and intense hunger even though I’m on a higher dose now.
I can’t really figure it out but thinking it might be because I weigh a bit more now? Hormonal changes after having kids? I’m 15 months Post Partum though so figured I’d be done with the hormonal shifts
