Finally got the muscle-up after golfer's elbow and slow progress! ✌️
Took a tremendous amount of consistency and weight loss for me to get this down. Always wanted to do it since seeing 'Hannibal for King' goodness knows how many years ago! 😆

181cm, 37yo, 110KG/242lbs down to nearly 88KG/194lbs in 6 months. 22KG/49lbs lost by running 5 to 6km most days and some awareness to food/energy intake. Finally I can fly over the bar! Loving it.
My advice for anyone who was like me working hard for this one:
- Watch out for your inner elbows (golfer's elbow) and don't ignore the pains like I did.
- Get a low bar setup or a dip bar to 'spam out' slow negative muscle-ups (grease the groove style), 1 slow negative repeated when you can throughout the day. Try and control slowly through the 2 inch transition part. This got me a lot of strength quickly but I only started doing these negatives recently. I've had a low bar setup right next to my computer! https://imgur.com/a/QfGbPSF
- Take as long rests between reps as you can (1 rep 100% max power every time)
- Use band and hook only 1 leg in.
- Jumping muscle ups from a low bar at first. Ashamed to say I couldn't even do these to begin with 🤦

stuff.co.nzSpotted in CBD: 'Chinese Police' (公安) on Shortland St – anyone know the story?
Spotted this in the CBD today. Wrapped with full Chinese Public Security / Police (公安) decals and official-looking crests on the doors.
I know decal wraps and cosplay cars pop up every now and then ( seen similar stuff in Australia and around NZ before), but seeing a full foreign police wrap parked in central Auckland is out the gate, heheh
Anyone know the story? Is it a film prop, private owner messing around and what’s the legal line on foreign police livery here in NZ?

1news.co.nzVolantex P51 and TranStar 500mm peculiarities?
G'day gents!
Got the Volantex/Eachine 500mm p51 and TranStar machines. Couple of peculiarities I'm wondering if anyone here has experience with:
--Both planes seem hard to control with assist mode off/expert... Like ridiculously hard to fly compared to my FMS A6M Zero 750mm. The amount of down elevator trim required seems bizarre?
--TrainStar stalls unexpectedly. It just tips into a stall rather unexpectedly for this type of high wing 'trainer' configuration?
I don't remember the other 400mm planes being this troublesome to control at all? What's going on!

As a guy I wouldn't know where to go at all and figure there's only so many of us out there growing it all out! Where's a good place us lads in particular can go to get this sorted proper? Cheers ✌️

rnz.co.nzWondering if there's any sort of bars around the campus for pull-ups to hit some reps on in down-time and so on without the whole gym hassle?
✌️Thanks!
Posted this in the weekly thread to no avail so perhaps somebody here knows.
🫡 Gents, appreciate DCS for the flight and sounds but the DM was abysmal last time I loaded it up. As a WW2 fan in particular, the 30mm MK108 was more than a disappointment and they somehow couldn't have got it further from the real thing or even in the same ballpark as other titles.
It's a huge download so I just wanted to know if DCS fixed the MK108 or made an attempt to revise it in the last year.
Really hope they're not just putting this to the back of the pile! Would love to play again. 🫡✌️
