Easiest/most versatile way to redeem gift cards?

We have a bunch of Carnival Gift cards that we want to use in the ship. What’s the best way to go about it? Can we just load them all onto our account on day one and then gamble with it? Should we just use them to pay down our balance at the end?

We’re planning to buy the Zero Proof package (we loved it last time) and do some gambling, and a couple of cocktails a day.

Use regular and mini at the same time on the same account?

We got that promo where we got the mini for free and I’m wondering if we can use it and our home mounted dish at the same time. Like could my mother in law, who lives a few miles away, use the mini without disrupting our usage at our home?

Or is it a one or the other at a time sort of thing?

When does everything populate in the app?

We have booked a 7 day Eastern Caribbean for the end of April. When I look now in The Hub app, I don’t see any options for (as an example) the room decor and such. There’s just a squishmallow and a tote bag.

I see that the excursions are there now, which they weren’t a week or so ago, but when can I expect everything to fill in? We are interested in buying a bottle of booze for the room, for example, but I don’t find that in the app anywhere.

Thank you!

Zoloft to Prozac… what to expect?

Started Prozac this morning after 2 months on Zoloft did nothing but increase some obsessive behaviors, so I have high hopes.

I was on it many years ago but wasn’t good about taking it so I don’t know what to expect… I’m on 10mg which I guess is the minimum dose?

I guess I’m mostly wondering if the weird increase in symptoms from starting new will be the same as when I started the Zoloft, or if there’s already serotonin happening from it so the switch won’t be as dramatic.

Thanks for your thoughts!

St Maarten or St Thomas?

Spouse and I are looking at an Eastern Caribbean SEA next spring for my 50th birthday.

We both want to go to San Juan, so we’ve narrowed it down to either the Glory out of Canaveral or Conquest out of Miami. Conquest goes to St Maarten, Glory to St Thomas.

We know nothing about either, so which do you prefer?

We’re flying into Florida regardless, so that part doesn’t matter.

Our previous (and only) Carnival cruise was Mexico on the Radiance, and we were happy with it, so I feel like both Glory and Conquest will work for us.

Thanks so much!!

Any info on this turtle (?) shell?

We just found this on a shelf in an antique shop, and are curious about it. Google tells me it’s a turtle or tortoise shell, but that’s the extent of info.

There are no labels or anything, so we’re totally stumped.

If you know anything, we’d really appreciate it!

ETA: I literally know nothing about location, or even if it’s real. You have as much info as I do at this point.

Increased obsessive behaviors?

I’m about 6 weeks in on 50mg. (I have a follow up appt this week but wanted to ask here too)

I’m on Zoloft for anxiety and depression, not OCD, but I’ve realized I’m developing some obsession-leaning behaviors. Washing my hands dozens of times a day because they feel weird, mostly. Is this common, or worth mentioning to my doc this week?

Is Costco Travel the best deal?

Looking at a 10 day European cruise next summer. The CCL website and Costco appear to basically be the same price, plus I earn cash back at Costco and a Costco Cash card. Is that usually the best deal? Thanks!

Adding text because I forgot about the minimum text requirement which also seems really long and just makes for needing to add extra stuff like this to a question.

Couple of questions on day 2…

Doctor prescribed me (49f) for depression and anxiety, have taken 25 mg two days now, working up to 50 in a week or so.

Question about feelings I’m having, if they’re to be expected, related, or not.

  1. I’m SO tired! I’ve been taking them at bedtime, but I’m so tired I almost fell asleep at work, and was ready to go to bed at 8:30.

  2. I know alcohol isn’t recommended, but I work at a brewery and have to do some tasting. Is it possible to feel the effects of like 6-7 oz of beer? It normally wouldn’t have any effect on me at all, but today I’m feeling “weird” Not tipsy, just weird.

  3. Ears ringing/tinnitus? Laying here quietly in my living room and there’s a definite ringing in my ears that hasn’t previously been there.

4 can you please recommend an iPhone app for tracking mood and side effects? I have a follow up appt in six weeks and would like to have documentation rather than just my memory.

Vintage fabric cleaning?

I’m not sure if this is the right place to post.

I picked up this clothespin holder from an estate sale and would love to try and clean it. It’s on a wire frame to stay open, and I’m a little worried about that rusting, so I need to keep that in mind.

I know red is the most likely to bleed, so any methods, products, or techniques to get this as clean as possible are appreciated!

I’m not under the illusion it can look new, I just want charmingly aged, not like it got dug out of the corner of a garage (which it did)

Is one laser facial worth it?

I’m getting ads for a laser facial place that’s offering $50 for a “$275 value” visit. If I take advantage, will I just regret not being able to afford them regularly, or is it worth the $50 for a one time thing? Or is the whole thing a scam and not even worth the $50?

About me: Perimenopausal 49f with decent but not great skin.

Star Trek cards redeemable?

We don’t make it to D&B that often, but our teenager just found these in his bedroom as he prepares to leave for college. Are they worth anything for redemption? No Tribbles in the stack.

Coming back after a year

I was on WW for a year and was thrilled to lose 40 lbs. my promotional rate expired, so I decided to just count calories on my own instead for the last 10 or so lbs. While I’ve mostly maintained, I haven’t lost anything on my own, so I just signed back up today.

Anything changed since March 2025 I should be aware of? Thanks!
