MicroSoft should change its name

In light of the SAASpocypse, stocks with the name “soft” are getting hammered. MicroSoft should explore changing its name to better align with modern trends such as AI. As it stands, it sounds like an outdated boomer company. a corporate rebrand to focus on AI should be explored by Satya, who is not doing his job properly as is and should be fired.

Is MicroSoft a boomer Stock?

MicroSoft seems to mainly be liked by boomers and has a nerdy feel, as exemplified by Bill gates and Steve Ballmer. Is it considered a “grandpa stock” and if so that suggests it should not be part of the Mag 7.

Elon musk is much more exciting and electrifying, which is why Space X and x AI is booming while MicroSoft is going into bankruptcy. I am considering rotating my holdings of MicroSoft into Space X and Elon musk. I have gained around $30 in MicroSoft so far as I got 2 shares a few says ago but my suspicion is that the stock will continue to go down as per the chart.

MicroSoft is currently out-performing the S and P by over 3x

MicroSoft is currently trading at UP 0.61% vs 0.16% for the S and P 500. It's up 0.43% over the last week vs 0.12% for the S and P 500. I bought 2 shares of MicroSoft at $350 last week, so I yielded a quick profit of $40. MicroSoft has delivered incredible returns far out performing the S and P !

Goog retesting AI bump

The vibe has shifted, after the peak of around $400, Goog will likely continue going down despite the recent short bursts up. The primary reason is that Google AI has very low corporate adoption, the winner is now clearly Anthropic. As a result, we will see the entire AI bump retested, probably down to the $160-$200 range. The stock will be supported by the fact that Waymo rollout may lead to increased public exposure nationwide, so this will act as a support for Goog price at around the $160-200 range where it'll likely see a bounce again from that level.

I say this even as somebody who is 10% of my portfolio in Google, cost basis of $150, bought last May. I will certainly not sell, I think Google is fairly valued in the $300ish range. But in the short term the market will see these moves.

The trick with Google, is that since it has so many random projects and side ventures, there's always some chance for it to get latched onto some hype cycle, and that helps the stock price. How successful these side ventures are is entirely a separate matter.

Why do Chinese men cross their legs when sitting

I have noticed that a lot of chinese males tend to cross their legs a lot in the subway, on benches, etc. Especially older Chinese men. Is this a culturally accepted practice in China for men? Do they hold a similar stigma of the act as being not masculine and effeminate, as we see outside of China? Is it physically tolerable for Chinese men to sit cross legged?

Also, is this an East Asian habit in general?

Bitcoin is up 13% / year for the last 5 years and handily outperforming the S&P 500

Reminder that Bitcoin has outperformed the S&P 500 by nearly 2%/year over the last 5 years, and is up 85% cumulatively. Bitcoin is a high reward, high risk asset. It will go up and down more than the market, and that is completely expected. It has delivered insane returns of over 13,000% over the last decade. Even at a price of $10,000, Bitcoin would be up 2,300%, which is an insane ROI.

Down over 17% from Space X

I am down over 17% in Space X. I bought 1 share of Space X on 6/18 at $179.50, and it is now only worth $148.46, so I'm down $30 total. Should I sell or buy more?

How I get 20 meals a month for free

my parents and my credit card have some benefits, and I have hacked the benefits to eat effectively around 20 meals for free per month through hacking the maps / restaurants to find ones that take the credit. This covers dinner. For lunch I dont eat much.

CSR Doordash Credit - $25 (4 meals)
Amex Gold - $10 (1 meal)
Gold Resy Credit - $8 (0.6 meal)
Amex Plat P1 Uber- $15 (2 meals)
Plat P1 Resy Credit - $33 (3 meals)
Plat P2 Resy Credit - $33 (3 meals)
Amex Plat P2 Uber - $15 (2 meals)
Amex Business Gold Flex credit - $20 (2 meals)
Amex Gold dunkin credit -$7 (1 meal)

Chase Freedom DD Credit - $3.33 (0.33 meals)
Chase Freedom 2 DD Credit - $3.33 (0.33 meals)
United Gateway DD Credit - $3.33 (0.33 meals)
United Gateway 2 DD Credit - $3.33 (0.33 meals)
United Gateway 3 DD Credit - $3.33 (0.33 meals)
Delta Skymiles Gold DD Credit - $10 (1 meal)

As a result my food budget in NYC is no more than $80/mo to cover the few days of shortfall (I use discount inkind certs from Costco (effectively 38% off after using robinhood 3% cashback CC or too good to go).

I’m aware some of these cards have fees. However these are cards they carry anyways that they got for the SUB and so I might as well use the benefits. Since they own a business they have managed to churn millions of points in organic spend and bonuses, which they use for travel and more than offsets the cost of tickets they would have had to pay cash for. So its a nice side benefit to tale advantage of the effectively free meals as the annual fees can be considered a price to pay to get the SUB.
