Infinitely customizable task alarms

Create infinitely customizable task alarms with Last Alarm (iOS). Whether it's waking up in the morning or making sure you don't forget that one thing you always forget, create an alarm for it to be sure you get it done.

Last Alarm has helped me break my snoozing, specifically by using exercise alarms that force me to do squats and push ups when I wake up. However I use it for a lot more now, reminding me to take my pills and do a handful of other tasks I often forget during the day/week or ignore a simple reminder for.

Recently I made a big update to the onboarding to allow everyone to try out the verification process themselves. It's still available for anyone to try for free with a 3-7 day trial, however the new verification demo makes it even easier to quickly see how it works.

A: What problem does it solve?

Last Alarm uses infinitely customizable task alarms that must be video verified to turn off. It is next best thing to having an accountability partner hold you to your intention to do whatever task you can think of, effectively allowing you to be your own accountability partner.

While there are many alarm apps, they are all limited in there tasks or missions and none allow you the flexibility to alarm anything in your life you want to hold yourself accountable to completing. Last Alarm solves that once and for all by allowing you the infinite freedom to alarm the tasks that are most important to you.

B: Why is it better?

Last Alarm's core features are relying on video verification and user generated tasks. Other alarm apps (Alarmy, Wayk) have at best a handful of preset tasks for verification alongside other puzzles or tasks like math or step counting. If they have video verification it is limited to a few tasks like push ups or squats only. Same goes for image verification, which may have you scan a barcode or take a picture of something in your kitchen.

Video verification is superior to relying on images alone because it enables creating more complex tasks as well as improves verification accuracy. Images can only capture an instant, but a video task can capture more nuanced activity. This allows you to create tasks that work better for your use case, as they can be refined to perfectly fit your need. Image verification is also easier to circumvent, where as for video you could add more complex instructions like "spin around and show your whole environment".

Additionally, Last Alarm has no ads and never will, so you get a clean focused experience without getting your attention sold to the highest bidder from the instant you open your eyes in the morning, unlike Alarmy.

C: Cost

Last Alarm Pro has simple pricing, $39.99 yearly with a 3-day free trial, $4.99 Monthly, and $1.99 Weekly in case you want to try for a bit longer than the trial.

Would love any feedback especially if you want to give it a try!

Force yourself to smell the flowers with infinitely customizable alarms

Whatever it is you'd like to do more of but keep skipping out on, force yourself to make it part of your routine with infinitely customizable task alarms from Last Alarm.

Maybe it's a morning, lunch, or evening walk through a garden. Or going to a quiet park. Or a nearby forest trail.

Or perhaps just stepping outside your door at all.

I made Last Alarm to help me wake up in the morning, and while it has worked great for that, it can be used for so much more. That's exactly why I made the tasks infinitely customizable, I could never possibly know exactly what's most important to everyone.

Everyday someone finds a new task for Last Alarm to help them make sure they check off, and I wanted to share this one and how it can help you get fresh air and spend some relaxing time in your favorite places.

I would love to hear any feedback or about what alarms you would use!

How much time (or $$$) are you burning every morning?

Time equals money.

We've all heard the phrase, and while I don't think it makes sense to always equate our non-working hours to our working hours, there is a lot of truth to it.

If you make $20 an hour, but after work you watch an hour of TV, did you "cost" yourself $20? I don't think so. Sure you could argue "well you could have been working that hour" but using that logic every waking moment of our lives should be work and nothing else, or we're "costing" ourselves money.

That said, our time truly does have value. We can use it to learn something new, develop skills, build a business, exercise, and of course rest and relax.

So why have many of us (myself included) spent so long throwing away time in the morning. The truth is our time in the morning is just as valuable as any other time, if not more so.

The early morning typically has less distractions and demands on our time than the evening, making it potentially the perfect time to focus and be productive.

For me the difficulty was snoozing. I spent years snoozing most mornings, often for 1+ hours a day. Honestly I think snoozing is one of the least productive uses of our time possible. Instead of getting longer more restful sleep, we disturb ourselves with alarm after alarm simply to turn them off.

That is why I made and use Last Alarm to help me break my snoozing habit once and for all. The ability to create infinitely custom task alarms forces me to actually do a wake up task that keeps me out of bed. For a while I thought it simply might not be possible for me to break this habit, but I'm happy to report I proved that notion wrong.

So whatever it is you wish you could replace snoozing with, whether its getting work done, doing a hobby, practicing a skill, doing a quick workout, or just having a relaxing morning to yourself, checkout Last Alarm's custom task alarms to help make it a reality.

"Ride Onewheel Alarm" to help keep me from skipping rides

I created Last Alarm which let's you create custom task alarms you have to verify to turn off and one of the alarms I occasionally use is to remind (force) myself to go out for a ride.

I'd wanted a Onewheel for years, literally probably a decade. Well, like I said I finally got one last year and it's exactly as much fun as it looks like and I was hoping it would be.

As much as I love riding it, I only have like ~450 miles on it. The issue is of course that it's a Pint, so it's difficult to ride it hard or far. I can go far if I bring my fast charger with me but then I just spend a bunch of time finding outlets and charging which is boring. And if I ride hard I only get like 6 miles, maybe less.

Also from my place when I go for a ride, about half the ride kind of sucks as it's just getting to the nicer area. I suppose I can't complain, I'm sure I have a lot better riding than a lot of people, but with the pint that means I can only ride like 15-20 minutes in the nicer area.

All that is to say a lot of times I talk myself out of going for a ride or am just being lazy. So occasionally on the weekends I'll create an alarm for myself to sort of force me to get out of the house and ride. I'm always glad I did once I'm riding, I'm just not as consistent as I'd like to be.

Force yourself to get outside more with a "Go To Beach Alarm"

Help force yourself to get outside more with a custom task alarm from Last Alarm. You don't need to live next to a beautiful scenic beach like in this "Go To Beach Alarm".

Perhaps you just want to force yourself to go for a walk in the morning with a "Take a Morning Walk Alarm". Or maybe you need a push to force yourself to a nearby park with a "Go to the Park Alarm".

Whatever it is you want to be more consistent with or help prevent yourself from skipping you can create an alarm for it with Last Alarm. I often have ups and downs where some weeks I'm very consistent a particular activity I want to do more often, but others less so and I forget or just skip.

Adding in some daily or weekly reminders has been a nice way to keep myself on track and consistent when it comes to spending time outdoors and away from my desk.

Would love to hear what alarms you might make!

Last Alarm - Infinitely customizable task alarms - Like "Walk Along Stream Alarm"

I created Last Alarm to break my chronic snoozing habit. Multiple times a morning, sometimes for 1+ hours, I would get up, turn my alarm off and go back to sleep. So I wanted something that would force me to do a task that would wake me up and help me avoid snoozing.

However, I also didn't want to be restricted to a narrow handful of tasks, so that is why I made Last Alarm utilize infinitely customizable alarms. Literally anything you can think of you can make into an alarm. When it goes off, you simply take a short video of the task and Last Alarm verifies it before turning the alarm off.

Last Alarm has worked incredibly well in helping me break my snoozing habit. Now I get up on my first alarm every morning, I usually start with a quick exercise alarm like a "Morning Squat Alarm" followed by a "Make Espresso Alarm" to help keep me on track in my morning routine.

Last Alarm isn't just for mornings though, it works equally well for any task you want to make sure you start or do on time or otherwise might procrastinate or skip.

Want to encourage yourself to go to the gym? Try a "Walk out door in gym clothes alarm".

Or maybe you want to spend some more time in nature but keep skipping your walks? Try a "Walk along stream alarm" like the one shown here.

While there are other alarm apps out there, most focus on mornings alone like Alarmy or Wayk. Additionally, Last Alarm uses video instead of photos, unlike many other apps, which allow for more complex alarms and are harder to circumvent. Also as previously stated, most other alarms only have a very limited number of preset tasks, whereas with Last Alarm the possibilities are endless.

I'm curious to hear what alarms you might make and I would love to hear any feedback, especially if you give Last Alarm a try yourself!

Infinitely customizable alarms - like a "Make Espresso Alarm"

One of my favorite alarms I've made with Last Alarm is my "Make Espresso Alarm". I love espresso, I drink multiple every day and I first made the alarm to help me wake up as part of breaking my snoozing habit.

I used to often snooze 1+ hours a day, turning off multiple alarms and going back to bed. Once I do get up, I always make coffee first thing in the morning, and especially with espresso I always drink it right away, as it's much better when it's fresh.

So I hoped that if I could force myself to start making my espresso as soon as my first alarm went off, then surely I would immediately drink it and by that time I'd be awake enough to have avoided snoozing. Last Alarm helped me do exactly that, by forcing me to get my coffee started to turn off my alarm.

Nowadays I add an additional morning alarm for exercise as it's very quick and increasing my heart rate helps wake me up even more. However I still follow my "Morning Squats Alarm" up with my "Make Espresso Alarm" as I find it keep me moving through my routine and helps keep me from scrolling or otherwise getting distracted.

Admittedly I don't often use the alarm in the evening like I show here, but I do usually have my final coffee sometime around then.

I'd love to hear if anyone has any ideas they would make for an alarm, either to help wake you up or for any task. Also let me know any feedback you may have, especially if you give Last Alarm a try yourself!

Infinitely customizable task alarms - like a "Make Dinner Alarm"

Another use I've found for Last Alarm, help force me to make a fresh dinner with a "Make Dinner Alarm". A lot of times I'll have all the ingredients but procrastinate making something fresh for a few days and end up eating something frozen instead.

Here the task for the alarm is to just "Show that I'm cutting onions with a cutting board", since I know that once I get started I'll end up actually doing it. I suppose I could have cut the onions up and just stopped, but then again I could also add more follow up alarms if I know that's what I needed to help me follow through, like "Show you're sautéing the onions".

Even though my main use case for Last Alarm remains helping prevent me from snoozing, I think I'll continue to use some kitchen/meal related ones. For example, I always tell myself I will do a large meal prep on the weekends and often don't, so that may be another one I'll try.

Hopefully it encourages me to make fresh and healthy meals more often.

I'd love to hear what alarms would help you the most and any feedback as well!

Infinitely customizable task alarms - alarm anything, even "Make a Smoothie"

I originally made Last Alarm with only helping me to wake up and not snooze in mind. It's worked great for that, I've broken my snoozing habit by having Last Alarm force me to do exercise then make coffee first thing in the morning.

Recently I've been finding other ways to use it though. There are lots of habits and things I do throughout the day or week that I'm not always very consistent on. Sometimes I put something off until the last minute like making my smoothie at midnight, or sometimes I forget altogether like when I forget to take my pills or miss trash day.

So I've been exploring new tasks I can schedule with Last Alarm to help keep me on track, and here is an example of it helping me make sure I make my smoothie on time. I don't want to make it too late since it's loud and I live in an apartment but also I like to let it sit in the fridge for long enough to get cold.

Most other alarm apps I've seen only focus on waking up and are also often restricted to only a handful of preset options. Last Alarm instead is infinitely generalizable, you can create custom tasks for literally whatever you can think of.

I'd love to see what kinds of alarms others would make as well as to hear any feedback, especially if you give it a try yourself!

Keep your pets feeding time consistent with "Feed Dinner Alarm"

I'm sure a lot of people's pets have built in timers that are as punctual to remind them of when it's dinner time as any alarm could be. However, my dog isn't too picky so when I end up feeding him can vary within ~2 hr window.

While he doesn't mind much, I'm trying out a reminder alarm to add more consistency to our schedule. Really it's more to align our walks to the same time, as we always go on a walk after he eats.

I'm not sure how much I'll use it in the evening, but we'll see after a test. I think it could be more useful really for a wake up alarm for yourself, as I'm sure one of the first things many people do is take care of their pets when they wake up.

Regardless, this is just one example of any infinitely many customizable alarms you can make with Last Alarm. Literally anything you can think of you can make an alarm out of. I usually use it for preventing snoozing but have been trying it for all kinds of different tasks recently.

Would love to hear any feedback, especially if you give Last Alarm a try yourself!

Infinitely customizable task alarms - like "Do the Dishes Alarm"

I made Last Alarm to help me break my lifelong snoozing habit by forcing me to do exercise and other things that wake me up in the morning. I usually do exercise like a "Squat Alarm" or also a "Make Coffee" alarm and it has worked incredibly well helping me stop snoozing.

Recently I have been looking for new ways I can use Last Alarm to help me build good habits, so I've explored using it for chores and other tasks to help keep me from procrastinating. Tasks are video verified and infinitely customizable so you can create them for literally any task you can think of.

Here I used it for a classic, cleaning the dishes/sink. I even show that at first I try verifying while the dishes are still there and it fails, only passing successfully after I actually clean them.

I usually keep my kitchen pretty clean anyway but sometimes I put it off and stuff piles up, but I like being able to force myself to finish it at a certain time. I could also set a repeating alarm for the same time every week to make sure I always get the task done.

I'd love to see what alarms others come up with or hear any feedback, especially if you give Last Alarm a try!

Keeping my kitchen clean with an "Empty Dishwasher Alarm"

With Last Alarm I can create an alarm for literally any task I can think of. So I decided try it out for helping me keep my kitchen clean. I'm usually pretty clean anyway but sometimes I procrastinate and put off a certain task for a while causing a few things to build up.

In the kitchen I feel like the dishwasher is central to keeping it clean, since whenever it's full all the other dishes add up. I made an "Empty Dishwasher Alarm" and it worked great, forcing me to empty it on time. I think next time though I'll use a "Run Dishwasher Alarm" as that may be more useful, since it's easier to empty it than have to wait around for it to run.

I've mainly used Last Alarm to help me wake up in the morning so far, which has worked very well with breaking my snoozing habit. Now that I've seen how well it works for waking up though I've been looking at other ways it can help me build good habits, and keeping things clean is definitely one of them.

I'd love to see what kinds of alarms others may be interested in making, and if anyone has feedback especially if they give Last Alarm a try, I'd love to hear that as well!

"Take Pills" alarm helping me finally stop forgetting

I made Last Alarm to help me break my long time snoozing habit, and it has worked great at that! But now I'm looking for other ways I can use it to help me build good habits.

Half the time I forget to take my pills in the evening, so I made a "Take Pills" alarm and it's been working great to remind me to actually take them. Last Alarm's tasks are infinitely customizable, so I can make a task out of literally anything I want to remind/force myself to do.

I'll be experimenting with some other alarms as well, I usually start with an exercise alarm like "Squat Alarm" in the morning to help keep me from snoozing followed by a "Make Espresso" alarm to keep me from getting distracted so I make coffee right away.

Curious to see what alarms people would come up with, or if you have any feedback, especially if you give it a try yourself, I would love to hear that too!

Forcing myself to clean with my infinitely customizable alarm

So far I have largely been using Last Alarm for waking up as an anti-snooze alarm. That was the original use case and reason I developed it for, and it has worked great, helping me break my longtime snoozing habit.

But recently I've been looking for other ways I can use alarm to help me build good habits and force myself to stick to my schedule. Last Alarm's tasks are infinitely customizable, so they work just as well for any task you can think of as they do for helping you stop snoozing.

I think chore alarms can be really useful, as there are some tasks that are done at varying frequencies (everyday, 3 days, week, 2 weeks, etc.) and sometimes I forget or procrastinate. So I'm experimenting with scheduling various task alarms to help force myself to get said tasks done on schedule.

Here is obviously an example of a "Vacuum Floor" alarm, but alarms can be anything like "Take out trash", "clean dishes", "do laundry", etc. The flexibility is exactly what motivated me to build Last Alarm to be infinitely customizable rather than relying on a handful of pre-defined tasks. Now that I'm exploring more tasks I'm glad to see it's working just as well as I expected.

Anyway, would love to hear/see what kind of alarms anyone might make for themselves. Also would love to hear any feedback especially if you'd like to try a few alarms yourself!

Forcing myself to "touch sand" with my alarm

Found a new use for my app Last Alarm (iOS), to force myself to get some fresh air and head down to the beach!

You can create infinitely customizable alarms for literally any task or activity you can think of. I've mostly used it for helping me wake up and avoid snoozing, but I've been thinking of lots of other ways it can have a positive impact on my routine.

Probably won't use a "Go to the beach" alarm that often, but I do find that I delay or put off fun activities sometimes so I'll probably mix these in occasionally.

A: What problem does it solve?

Last Alarm allows you to create infinitely customizable task alarms that require video verification to turn off. I made it for myself to help me break my snoozing habit as the best way to make sure I avoided snoozing was to do something that woke me up right away. The problem was that aside from having another person around to verify and "force" you to complete a task, there really was no other way to ensure that it was actually completed. That is why I built Last Alarm, so you can help yourself ensure you get your most important tasks completed (like waking up) without requiring someone else to check and verify.

B: Why is it better?

Last Alarm is the only task alarm that has infinitely customizable tasks and works on video verification. While it was originally made to help with waking up and prevent snoozing, it works equally well for literally any task you can think of as this "Walk on beach" example shows.

Other task alarms (Alarmy, Wayk) come with prebuilt tasks or modes for you to choose from: Take a picture of X, solve a math problem, shake your phone, etc. However these are limited to a very narrow scope and don't allow you to use alarms that work best for you. Last Alarm allows you to make tasks of literally anything you can think of, so whatever works to wake you up (or whatever task you want to create), you can.

Also other task alarms are too easy to circumvent relying on pictures alone. Because Last Alarm uses video only, it allows you to create much more complex alarms that are more difficult to bypass. And if they do become too easy, you can simply update and improve your own tasks until you can't outsmart yourself, because only you know what works for you.

Also Last Alarm has no ads, nor does it obliterate your phone battery or consume tons of your data, all things that Alarmy does. Alarmy is an ad machine, so it's cluttered with everything under the sun like tarot readings and weather and quotes all to keep you on the app longer so it can blast you with tons of ads first thing in the morning, kill your battery 24/7 for an alarm that goes off once a day, and use tons of data in the background.

C: Cost

Last Alarm Pro has simple pricing, $39.99 yearly with a 3-day free trial, $4.99 Monthly, and $1.99 Weekly in case you want to try for a bit longer than the trial.

Would love any feedback especially if you want to give it a try!

Just passed 150 downloads for Last Alarm!

Yesterday Last Alarm finally got past the 150 download mark. It was the most downloads it'd seen in a day at 14, surpassing the previous high mark of 5.

Until yesterday downloads had come in somewhat steadily at a little over 2/day.

Wanted to give paid marketing a try as I hadn't until yesterday, so that is the reason for the increase. I'll probably run it for the rest of the week to get more data, but I'm glad to see it is working well to drive downloads.

My sights are set on 1K downloads now, which I know is a long way off from 150 but I want to see how quickly Last Alarm can get there.

Would love any feedback or advice from what helped you get to 1K downloads if any of your apps have reached that mark.

Last Alarm - Video verification alarm for wake up and infinitely many tasks

Last Alarm allows you to create infinitely customizable task alarms for waking up in the morning or any task you want to be sure you remember to do. Just create a custom task alarm, then verify completion of the task with video to disable it.

Perfect for a lifelong snoozer (like me) who may need a jolt to wake up in the morning by forcing yourself to exercise, drink coffee, or whatever wakes you up.

Great for any other task you otherwise find yourself skipping, like taking a break to touch some grass, taking your vitamins, or literally anything you can think of.

Give the current TestFlight version a try, there are only 100 slots available and it will probably be up for less than a week. However those who join will get access to future TestFlight releases.

Also, I would love to hear any feedback directly. I'll be sending free monthly codes indefinitely to those who provide valuable feedback.

Just got an email from CloudFlare congratulating me that my site, lastalarmclock dot com, got 10K page views in a month!

Woo, awesome! Except then I go to the cloudflare analytics page and dashboard to check it out further because I was surprised and 10K was a lot more than I remember seeing when I checked last.

Then I see on the web analytics for this site, it shows 110 page views, even after I turn off the bot filter. How can it be off by a factor of 100? That seems like a ridiculous amount to be off by.

Even when I look at the domain overview, it shows ~2K unique visitors. More than 110, but still a ways off of 10K.

So what is CloudFlare even talking about with this 10K page views? Has anyone else encountered this, and is there a way I can I dig deeper into this number?
