Updating to 22.0.1 in order to play mina the hollower

Hey guys, im currently runing 20.5.0 with 1.9.5 Atmosphere. I never had an issue with anything before, last time i updated was when that firm released, i was trying to install Mina the Hollower and i got an error, looking up its because the firmware its not compatible.

My main question is if i update i will broke my homebrew stuff? i have not a lot of stuff, mostly games (Re3, ReVC, GzDOOM, Captain Claw and PPSSPP mostly) but i remember when i tried to update from 20.5.0 to something newer most of my homebrew games broke and couldnt launch, there is something new that patches that issue or i will be stuck in this firmware forever?? thanks in advance

I like Quake 1 so damn much

The atmosphere is crazy immersive, i play it on this little Linux handheld called miyoo mini plus. Dpad for movement/strafe and face buttons for camera movement. L1 and R1 for jump/shoot.

Im playing the third realm alredy and its getting hella tuff, i have the 3 mission packs here as well so i have dozens of hs of gameplay to tackle. I liked Quake 1 so much that i got it for the switch and i added a TON of mods/custom maps to it

Playing retro fps without analogs

Iv been remapping inputs on my mm+ to try some retro fps and i love how it turned out. Im not the best quake player but iv been playing it for an hour and its actually pretty comfy to do so. I got working quite a few of ports here like wolf3D, duke3D, blood and a bunch of doom wads and i configured them mostly all like this. Face buttons= camera control Dpad= strafe and moving Bumps/triggers= run, use, fire, jump. I also have the grip/case which makes this even better
