Should be pretty self explanatory- but why does my thermostat say “cool on” even though it’s already 76 degrees which is already cooler than 78 (what I set it to last night)?
Does anyone know what is going on with radiance of the seas? My family is on that cruise (not me) and I am hearing that there was a medical emergency and now a power outage. Any more information?
I’m on a two lane road (one in each direction). I have to make a left turn. Not one, but there were TWO CONSECUTIVE CARS coming from the other direction who stopped in their tracks and waved/flashed their brights at me to go ahead.
I appreciated their kindness, but I waved them both off.
Please do not do what these people did. Sure, it’s a kind thing to do, but you are actively contorting the laws of traffic and are all the more likely to cause an accident due to an unnecessary brake (or a miscommunication with the turner).
I can wait the extra 30 seconds for an open window to turn, if it even takes that long (I have seen people do this when there’s literally only one other car behind them, so that’s more like two seconds lmfao). This is only worth doing if you’re in standstill traffic on both ends.
Seriously, you can make a Ponzi scheme out of our return policy…

It’s actually insane what people can get away with.
As a CSS, I have to try to not to make a RBF when someone comes in with suspicious returns, even if they’re likely legitimate.
And yes, I get some people are homeless/borderline homeless just trying to scrape by. It’s still an abuse of the system and part of the reason prices are high.
I know some of the usual returners will prey on new CSS staff too which just isn’t right.
Not to defend a multibillion dollar company, but man, can we at least make a receipt a requirement again? Or, if without receipt, only issue gift cards if the product is resellable?
New here, what are people’s experiences? I’m not gonna lie, I’ve heard very mixed reviews. Fans seem great at least but unsure about the org
It’s so catchy. And the bass line??? The tempo and rhythm are smooth. It almost sounds like a chill version of Sultans of Swing. Perfect for driving on the highway at night. It has to be an 8/10 at least for me. When I saw the daily song discussion on it, I was surprised. Why the hate? I know it is not a Paul song technically, but it still works well in SOS imo.
So for those who remember, Frontier did a $40 buy-in to receive automatic Gold Status for the rest of 2025.
For some reason, I still have mine. I fly Frontier a bit, but certainly not enough to legitimately earn Gold Status.
This happened to anyone else? Certainly not complaining. Google flights price tracking, discount den, and gold status is a deadly combo.
I’m in my second semester. First semester was awesome: had accounting, Econ, and org behavior. All of those were good classes and good professors.
This semester, I chose to get rid of all the TWO credit hour long classes and I just can’t say the exact same for this semester. Still generally like my professors, but I don’t feel like I’ve learned a lot nor feel like the content has been taught the best.
Definitely more intensive than first semester, and unnecessarily so, IMO. I feel like there’s only so much you can fit into half a semester long classes.
Kind of annoying not gonna lie.
It is a pleasure to work at Publix, and I actually mean that. I’ve made a lot of friends with coworkers and customers alike. Great people all around.
However, as someone who works up front in CS who can, at times, be the ONLY ONE in the midst of chaos…
PLEASE DON’T CHECK OUT AT CS IF IT IS CLEARLY BUSY WITH LOTTO LINES AND PHONES RINGING!
YOU ARE LIKELY WASTING MORE TIME FOR BOTH OF US THAN WAITING FOR A NORMAL REGISTER!
Even if it’s just a few items, any transaction can easily be bound to take longer than expected. I’ve seen it happen too many times.
So PLEASE, only check out at CS if it’s near-empty or if you are there for another reason besides simply checking out.
It is stressful, and it is frankly unnecessary at times. We can literally be in the midst of handling thousands of dollars (whether it’s Publix’s or someone else’s) among other things (and we can get fired or in BIG trouble if we break our concentration), surely you can wait a minute in line by the registers to get a pub sub.
Like I said, I love yall. So please love us back🙏🏼
