Any young-ish NY workers comp or family law attorneys that recently opened their firm?

Any young-ish workers' comp or family law attorneys here who recently opened (or are soon to open) their firm? I'm looking to network with you. Please let me know if you know someone.

Batgirl vs Wimbledon

I have the batgirl but kind of want the Wimbledon. Would you trade down if they gave cash?

Has anyone here scaled their law firm to 10/20/30+ attorneys?

I started my plaintiff-side personal injury and employment law firm this year, and things have been going well. We run almost entirely on contingency. Naturally, I have begun thinking about how to expand, and something that I've noticed is that many solo attorneys remain solo attorneys. Why do you think that is? Can't generate business? Don't want to give up profits/sacrifice for long-term growth? Something else? My goal has always been to run a firm with several attorneys and a full staff. Do you have any tips on things I can do today to prepare for that, considering that I am on ground zero.

I had an interesting conversation with another solo recently (many more years of ownership), and he said at one point he had two attorneys under him, but it turned out to be less profitable. Has that been the case for you? Have you been able to figure out how to change it?

Just curious about any and all tips you may have for aggressive growth that worked for you.

Thank you!

I have 5k to spend on marketing…

What have you spent money on for marketing that was actually worth it? There are so many companies making big promises, and it’s hard to know who to trust.

I’m in New York practicing plaintiff PI (I know) and employment law, have about 40 cases and my firm is under six months old. Am I better off just networking and handing out cards at this stage?

Also open to any books, websites, articles, or podcasts you recommend. Thanks!

Has anyone successfully utilized Claude to automate administrative tasks?

I started my own firm in January and I’m at about 40 cases right now. I’m at the point where very single administrative task is starting to become a huge time sink and taking away time from more pressing matters.

Examples of things I’d like automated are retainer agreements, letters of reps, follow up on treatment, demand letters to employers, etc.

Has anyone used Claude or the like to successfully take over a majority of administrative tasks? If so, where did you start and what resources did you use to learn and set it up?

Man this watch is something else

It is such an incredible daily. It has taken over my batgirl as a daily. It even looks good with Crocs!

Tried on the 100 year anniversary OP today

This is a 36mm. This watch is so much nicer in person. Some people were saying they wanted the bracelet to have gold as well but I think this watch came out perfect. The green accents really pop as well.

Plaintiff law firm owners in NYC?

What has your experience been? I'm thinking about adding employment law to my PI practice. Is it a worthwhile addition (financially) or would my time better be served sticking with PI? I have an opportunity to work on a number of employment cases with a well respected employment attorney.

Don't seem to see too many plaintiff employment firms around so I imagine the competition for case acquisition is far less competitive than Pl but my understanding is that the value per case is also far lower.

Please enlighten me if you run a plaintiff side employment firm in NYC.

Should this Rolex 69173 have a quickset date function?

Rolex 69173 26mm Datejust.

Everything I’m seeing online indicates that this reference should have a quickset date function, but I’m not seeing one on the watch I purchased. Is it possible the movement was changed at some point? They weren’t certain of the exact production year, only that it was from the 80s or 90s. Trying to determine whether this is normal or if I should consider requesting a refund.

Serial 7124XXX.

[New Watch] Christopher Ward Sealander

I popped into Christopher Ward’s event last night to check out the new collection. Went in fully expecting the pistachio to be my favorite, but ended up falling in love with this blue 36mm configuration instead. The proportions and finishing are excellent. Incredible value for the price.

Wife sat on the seats with self tan on…we tried to wipe it off with interior cleaning spray and water and this was the final result. The leather even began wrinkling as you can see at the bottom of the photo. Is there any way to fix this? Will the wrinkling subside when it dries? Car is brand new….Thanks in advance.
