FINALLY

It has been nearly a year long journey, but I got the phone call yesterday from the nurse that I am FINALLY all clear. What an unbelievable relief!

I was in SO MUCH PAIN for so many months, but it has all passed and I am beyond thrilled.

The wife and I have already celebrated.

Conversion Therapy at my Vineyard church

Hi friends.

I attend a Vineyard church. I don't want to get into a theology debate, I'm not smart enough for most of that, but I have a question about how to approach an issue I have with my church.

It has come to my attention that my church has a ministry that is, functionally, a segment of "conversion therapy." It is called Living Waters.

My concern is that a lot of evidence suggests strongly that religious conversion therapy correlates to higher suicide risk in both teens and adults.

I don't want to have a debate about "is homosexuality a sin," I know many sides of that conversation well, and that isn't my concern. I am not going to change the theology of my church.

But my concern is this: How do I talk to my church leadership about this offering and my concern that it is going to lead to broken families, broken lives, and broken hearts. I don't want to be overly dramatic, but I worry that someone will lose a kid, a grandkid, a cousin, because the statistics suggest that this is a real possibility. I don't want to go to them and say, "Hey, I disagree with your theology," but I DO want to say, "Hey, your desire to put this in practice may hurt people, and that isn't the Kingdom of God."

Any advice? Any ideas on how I can broach this subject?

Thanks all, I appreciate it.

I want to start learning

Where do I start? Where can I start learning about Taoism? I am sure this is a question that is asked a lot.

Tao of Pooh? Just straight to Tao Te Ching? (forgive me if this is not the correct name.

Should I listen to YT lectures? Or are there good intro places I can start?

I am not a complete beginner, having been a philosophy student (both formally and informally) most of my life. But that has mostly been Western. I cam across some Taoist ideas recently, thanks to what looks like an AI Slop channel but I don't want to feed AI Slop, I'd rather just learn properly.

Thanks. I hope someone (or many someones!) can help me out.

Brand New to iPhone

I just received, as a gift from a departed family member, an iPhone 17. Bully for me!

I have been an android user since I got my first phone back in, like, 2010. I'm not old, but i AM brand new to the iPhone. Last time I used an apple device was the iMac in High School. Elder millennial.

Two questions:

FIrst, how do I make sure all of the departed's things are backed up onto their icloud whats-it system. I want to make sure everything is backed up so the widow of the departed can still access pictures and so on.

Second, Can you point me in the direction of how to use it? What do I need to know, what settings will I regret not learning about? What do I need to know about navigation, about quirks, etc. Anyone who came from android, if you can educate me, i would appreciate it enormously! I really want to learn how to use this well.

Thanks, all. I really appreciate your help in learning to make the most of this fantastic device.

Not sure if I am safe, need advice

I had my first vasectomy in, like, August of '25. I was in a huge amount of pain for quite a few months. Couldn't stand or sit comfortably, and took forever "clear out" as much as I could because of the pain.

Even after that, after 4 months or so, I was still showing Dead Presidents in my sample, even after 3 samples.

Went in for a second snip in April of this year. Thankfully, whatever the good dickdock did completely fixed my pain problem, which has been amazing.

Now is it July and I finally got my 1st sample in. I was supposed to bring it in earlier, obvs, but I couldn't due to work travel, vacation, Doc vacation, etc. So, now it is July and I finally got it in.

Got a call from the nurse, she said that the sample was completely clear but the doc wanted me to bring another sample in 30 days. That would be 4 months after a 2nd snip that was done to chase dead, not live, sperm.

Any advice? Am I in the clear? Any thoughts?

I know Reddit is not exactly the place for medical advice, but I'd like to hear your thoughts. Thanks!

Lhykhis - Return of Multi-hit?

I am super fascinated by Lhykhis.

Her passive, IIUC, does more damage the more attacks a person has. And she has flying. So is this the return of the flying Dante multi-hit team? It seems like she would go very well with anyone who has a bunch of hits (Ragnar, Kharn, Forcas, Boss G), and would not synergize well with the Big >!Dick!< Hit Laviscus. Also, the extra hits from Traj seems to synergize well.

Anyway, my question is - is this the return of the multi-hit team? Am I missing something? I watched Nandi's video and he seems to be pushing the battlesuit team more, but I wonder about multi-hit (esp since I am closer to getting that up to Mythic power than battlesuit.)

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

An album with animation

I saw this today on The Gram (to the kids still say this?) and I thought it was a great perspective.

I got into the show because of the music (and a few stills of Faye a friend showed me), and I was hooked.

I would love to hear from others!

Too Many Onions

I recently came in to possession (legally, through the YMCA) about 50 lbs of white onions. They aren't brand new, fresh onions, and they aren't going to last a super long time. I am storing them in a bag where they can get air, won't get knocked and bumped, but it is still 50 lbs.

I have a big-ish family (8 of us in the house) but I am the only one who really adores just a load of onions in everything. We like onions well enough, but I'm quite sure if I served "roasted/smoked onions" as a side dish i'd get a revolt.

I would love to hear your recipes or recommendations on how to use this many onions beyond what I have already thought of. Currently, I know I can make:
\* Onion Rings and fried onions of different sorts
\* Onion Soup (French, potato, and otherwise)
\* Onion Bread (doesn't use a ton of onions)
\* Just cook onions and put them in my usual meals.

Anyone have any suggestions for how to use a bunch of onions? Or what to do with a bunch of onions so they don't go bad?

Thanks in advance!

Newest Votann ideas?

I understand that there is a chance we are going to get a pink-haired female Votann added sometime soon. I saw a post on it somewhere.

I am not wildly impressed with LoV at the moment, and I wonder what you all think would be the right thing to "fix" the team? What would they need to bring their strengths together? What are they missing to really become a fantastic team?
