Advice on designing around this rug

I came across this rug and absolutely love it. It reminds me a little of a tarot card, and I love pink and nature. I was going into decorating my office/guest kids room purple/mauve with a bold wall paper, but now I’m not sure what to do for a wallpaper.

Would you do mauve, pink? Hope bold can I go here?

I like the wallpaper in the second picture but I think it would be too busy and the green just isn’t right.

Some beautiful visitors

My garden efforts are finally reaping results! I’ve seen some other butterflies and moths not pictured but they’re hard to catch a picture of sometimes.

I can’t wait to plant more and more and more! Next year’s goal is to add some solar powered ponds/fountains and have a dead tree removed to plant a serviceberry.

Got a stylized luna moth tattoo

I got this in NYC around 4 weeks ago at Second Needle in Williamsburg. The artist incorporated one of my many freckles into the left wing (our right). I absolutely love the coloring!

I’ve been trying to turn my small lawn into a native pollinator paradise and I was lucky enough to see a luna moth about a week ago! Unfortunately I didn’t get a picture but I was so thrilled.

Aggressively pulling QAL is letting new plants grow. What are these?

I live in upstate NY so I’m prepared to hear that this are also invasive, but I hope not lol. I’m getting volunteer yarrow and pussy toes all around!

Red tailed hawk!

A very brave squirrel went by it twice and surprisingly did not get eaten

The deer have been trying very hard to eat these beauties

First bush (pics 1/2) is on its third year of being planted, the rest are all second years. There’s one more that’s sooo beautiful but the deer chomped it right down. 😭 I bought some fencing to give them more protection and a chance at thriving.

My new patch has hit the one month mark!

It’s gotten through a late two-day frost and then a two day heat wave a few weeks later! We’ve been fortunate to have otherwise gotten cool weather with regular, deep rains.

I have lost one plant in this patch, but I think that’s pretty good! I plan on filling out this area even more in the fall.
