Questions about Simlab handbrake

Had a couple of questions about the Simlab handbrake if anyone has it

- Does it have an end stop or does it get stiffer until you can't move it anymore?

- How tough is the elastomer?

- How adjustable is the strength

Looking for a really strong handbrake without splurging on a hydraulic.

Thanks

Les gens qui squattent les machines à la salle

Ça me répond sèchement "non" pis ils continuent

TB1 handbrake elastomer mods

Has anyone modified the TB1 elastomer with one from Simsonn or whatever?

Just feels really spongy with the factory one I'm a bit disappointed. Was hoping for some more adjustability.

(I'm not interested in using springs)

Holy freaking cow

I have been playing this game for many many years now and oh my actual god my game has never looked this good before.

0.39 update + crash particles mod + dynamic scratch mod + TAA mod

oh my daaaaaaaaaaaaays wow wow wow

1440p 9070XT 5800X3D 16GB ram running everything maxed except shadow resolution, reflections and lighting quality DAMN bro I've spent the past hour drooling

Thank you devs and modders, BeamNG gives me hope for humanity

Edit: Stop saying I need to buy more Ram I just checked I'm using 7.1GB on West coast with 15 traffic cars and 5 parked spawned, my GPU is sitting around 95% usage. Ram is not the bottleneck here. Beam is not the Ram hungry monster it used to be anymore.

Has anyone else ever worked for a company who's machines just don't fcking work?

I work in commissioning with a company that makes medium voltage VFDs (for cruise ship chillers, propulsion etc) and our 11kV ones (exclusively for AC chillers) just don't fucking work and I am constantly having to get out and "fix" them until they inevitably break again.

It's great for making money I guess since there's always work but it sure is starting to weigh on my self confidence knowing that no matter what I do I just can't get it to work long term. The clients all think I'm full of shit and I HATE having to say idk what the problem is (there are usually many).

Meanwhile R&D are probably drinking coffee and smoking big cigars because nothing ever changes. It's like "oh the commissioning guys will make our shit work."

Should I quit??? Should I go to ABB/GE/Siemens or something???

Idfk

Wondering if I could do my job in the USA

So I'm a French electrical engineer

Ive done a lot of work on cruise ships and these go out of the US all the time, I've been to Texas, Florida, California, Washington, New Jersey and Alaska.

I didn't expect to but Ive loved every single second of it. What a fantastic country you guys have!

I'm half considering moving to Alaska because it's hands down most beautiful place on Earth holy fcking shit and also I would be making a lot more money in the USA than in France without needing to travel as much.

My question is, as a qualified electrician in France, how would I go about becoming qualified in the US? Google says about doing a 4 year low pay apprenticeship (not happening cba). Surely there's an easier way to transfer the skills over, does anybody know?

No point going if I can't do my job

Anyway, thanks in advance guys

11kV VFD white stuff around cables

White marks where cables were attached to chassis (11kV). Partial discharge or something else causing this? Leaving everybody stumped..

Thanks

I know a lot of people disagree but I really like the big old American cars, especially for rallying.

Seriously rally a muscle car, just try it bro.

*oil pan is leaking*

Based purely off of how much I enjoy driving each car.

HOW TO FIX SQUEAKY P1000 CLUTCH!

Seems like it's quite a common issue and no post of a solution anywhere online so after what seemed like endless diagnosis I can conclude :

If your clutch pedal is making a squeaky noise, this pin/the bearing it fits in are most likely the culprits.

Remove them, grease the pin and the bearing (make sure to tilt the bearing to get some grease all around it) and put them back.

Sorted!

Hope I prevented some headaches

(I believe this goes for p2000s as well)

Noise driving me insane

Hi,

2005 mk5 Golf makes a growly bearing like noise above 50kph.

Wheel bearings replaced, brakes replaced. Still makes the noise.

When i jack it up and turn the front left I can definitely feel some popping and clicking, but I don't hear any when doing the cv joint car park test

Any ideas?

I'm praying to every god that exists that it's not the diff

Put a 90s Momo on my rig and it finally feels right

Didn't expect this to affect immersion quite this much, I just thought it looked cool but the feeling of it in your hands is fantastic, been using this for a while now and wow!!
Anyone else heavily into street racing (touge etc)?

I like proper track racing but I find real roads and semi-slicks are where the true driving bliss is at.

R9, P1000 hydraulic, PXN button box, DS8X, ali express handbrake (next upgrade TB1)

How to connect PC to HiFi?

Hello,
Just wondering what peoples solutions are to connect PC to HiFi system?
My pc is a desktop so neither the pc or hifi will be moving much, cable length required about 7m

Worth buying an external sound card? Any recommendations? I can only find ones that seem to be for recording which I will not be doing.

Thanks

Budget: I don't care. It only needs to send audio to the amplifier
