okay, I've been allergic to apples since I was little. I've started with only the peal and then gotten more severe over the past years.

the weird thing is that my apple allergy started the same way my brother's did, starting with only the peal and little tingles, my brother is younger than me and I'm seeing exactly how my allergy started in him. I've asked a few websites and for some reason if you're allergic to certain pollen it can make LTP allergies more common.

neither of us are allergic to pollen, heck, I'm not allergic to Poison Ivy, i'm over here pulling it out of the ground with my bare hands while my friends are avoiding it like the plague. and I'm so confused on how me and my brother BOTH ended up with the same allergy, at the same age, with the same symptoms (i'm hoping here he doesn't end up as severe as me)

I'm meeting my half brothers (Soon to be step siblings) for the first time in 7 years and I'm not sure if I should bring up my pronouns at all for a while till we are friendly (Cause of family tension) or how to bring it up at all to them, I'm apparently meeting them either in december or next year and I don't know how to have the conversation with them since I'm like 90% sure they don't know but they might because my dad knows and is supportive and may have shared it with them)

I just need advice, it was easy with my parents since they are both stoic and have the "I don't care what you are" attitude but I barely know anything about my brothers, it's been so long.

My mom is supportive, so is my dad, they honestly don't care, however they still use she/her pronouns for me since they have a hard time adjusting and I don't know how to bring it up that it bothers me

I’m confused on the subject since I was talking to my friend and they said I was in anaphylactic shock since I had 3 symptoms (swelling of lip, slight airway close, and itchiness) from a Taste of mangosteen, but I asked my other friend and they said I wasn’t since it wasn’t life threatening and it went away without medication.

so now I’m confused with what counts as anaphylactic shock and have asked google but google keeps giving different answers to the same search (I ask the same question 3 times to see if it’s consistent or not)

I have had an apple allergy since I was 7, and I have wondered what in apples I’m allergic to.

one: it’s not just apples is many fruits in the rose family as well as Mangosteen

two: I am allergic to cooked apples since when I was 10 I had fresh apple cider and reacted

three: I React way more to mangosteen from just a taste than a bite of an apple

my question is if anyone knows what in apples I could be allergic to, and if it’s dangerous (since I get itchy throat and slight closing, not enough to stop breathing but enough to be uncomfortable and swelling in the lip with mangosteen)
