Didi from shangrila to Lijiang airport

So tomorrow night I’m at a friends Party which will probably end 10-1am , but there are no trains from shangrila to Lijiang after 8pm which sucks. I have a flight from Lijiang to Guangzhou at 8am Friday , what’s the best way to get a didi at 2-3am so I arrive at Guangzhou airport for 8am

Requirements for teaching in Vietnam / Cambodia compared to China

Currently teaching in China, making 30k rmb a month, 3 month paid holiday a year, in middle and primary school. So maybe I’d be crazy, to leave, but my city is very very boring in Hebei province. I love China or I did so my first few years but starting to get bored.

I’m still only 28 and unmarried so quite young. I’ve travelled Cambodia and Vietnam recently and enjoyed it. I’d be willing to spend a gap year experiencing another country, even if it means taking a pay cut. I’m just curious what the tefl market is like here and whether I’d need a pgcse and/ or qts to find a decent job here with time off. The time off is in a way more important than salary for me.

While I don’t have pgcse I can eventually get one and I do have good experience and references

Is this layover in Phnom Penh too short ?

Considering I have luggage, there’s just no other affordable way to get to Vientiane without making it a multi day trip..

Where should I go in SEA for three days

Currently in Siem reap having just been to Phnom Penh. I have three days left of the holiday, I’m thinking Saigon (just did Hanoi a few weeks ago and liked it), Bangkok (been twice but always fun), or Vientiane (never been to Laos but it’s convenient as I need to be in China on Sunday for work and can take the train into Kunming.

So it’s for Thursday- Sunday , where should I close off my six week vacation. I’ve already done Shanghai - Shenzhen - Hanoi - Chiang Mai - Phnom Penh - Siem Reap .

I’m looking for somewhere to have a good night out on the weekend as my work life is boring and never get time to party.

Overnight buses in Thailand

I’m currently in chiang mai and thinking of getting the overnight bus into Bangkok as it’s very cheap and I have a big suitcase so it should be easier than flying . How is the experience ? Is it possible to sleep on it ?

Clubs in Hanoi?

What clubs are fun for foreigners who want to let loose and listen to good music and interact with locals and tourists alike.

Looking for ones with a lively atmosphere. I can go out either Thursday and/or Saturday. I’m guessing Saturday is best though

Not into drugs or prostitution or anything like that. 25 from uk just solo travelling and I’m pretty introverted but not stupid to drink too much Alone either

Which part of Hanoi should I stay in

I just arrived in Hanoi yesterday, I’m staying near the old quarter by the lake. This area is very busy and loud and my hotel is not very clean .

I want to relocate , I’ve been around the old quarter today and while I like it I don’t want to spend the rest of my one week trip here as there are too many tourists and I’d like my hotel to be in a quieter part of the city and more authentic to modern Hanoi life.

All the provincial level divisions I’ve been to in China so far 21/33

I’ve been living here 3 years, 36 cities and 21 provinces . I think it’s pretty good going averaging one new city a month

iPhone won’t turn on

So last year my phone suffered damage in a pool but I got it fixed and got the iPhone 17 and have been using my iPhone 13 as a back up phone without too much problem

Last night I charged my iPhone 13 a bit and didn’t look at it, then I went to open it and now it won’t turn on at all even after the hardware reboot recommended
