Here's butt in your face!! Dino is quite persistent when he wants something.

This video is from 2017, but it's one of my favorites. Sadly, we lost Ranger (on right) in 2023. He and Dino were very close, and Dino hasn't been the same since. He misses his buddy.

My parents grew up during the Depression, so they never threw anything away. That includes the box and insert/instructions that came with our Biltwel Nursery Rhyme (baby) shoes. The Barber Barber nursery rhyme is new to me, but I know all the others.

These shoes were made exclusively for sale by Sears Roebuck and Co. My family shopped frequently at Sears. I was sad to see them go out of business.

These were my favorite 'fireworks' growing up. The sparkly ones were pretty, but they made me nervous. I can still remember the smell of these--very similar to the smoke from those old coal-fired steam locomotives.

How many different barks does your Eskie have? To anyone else, the barks probably all sound the same, but there are very distinctive differences between each of these. If I'm in a different part of the house (than him) and hear him barking, I know exactly what he's trying to tell me.

-Someone is walking a dog in front of the house

-A neighbor across the street is working in their yard or talking to somebody

-Someone is on my property and is approaching house

-I'm looking for (general) attention

-I need to go outside

-I want to go for a walk

-We're going for a walk!!!!!

-I'm trying to get nextdoor neighbor to come outside to treat me

-Separation anxiety--where are you?!

-It's time to eat; where's my food?

-I'm bored

-I love the sound of my own voice, don't you?!

-Hurry up, Mom!

-(Directed at aggressive dog) Don't bark at me!

-Be advised that I'm coming outside!

-Trying to engage his brother in barking

-Where are you going and why aren't you taking me with you?

-You're home!
