Just found my little buddy has gone to the Rainbow Bridge

My good buddy Scruffy is singing his song in the halls of Valhalla today. Found him on the bottom of the cage with him laying down and his wings in a heart shape; he wasn't moving and he wasn't breathing.

It felt so sudden, a few days ago he was goofing around being a goober; he would like to be held like an ice cream cone (picture shown), he would also rough house a bit as he would rub at my beak and "roar", being a fierce bird; was always a game we played.

He would snuggle and then hop on the back of the couch where he would eat his favorite snack, the Parmesan Goldfish.

Fly on little buddy, I'll miss you :(

Love this country!

Doomers are seething man. I dunno but this is the most beautiful country.

Been to other countries and they don’t even come close to the diversity and cultures we have here. We’re a grand melting pot of many lives and new things we should learn about each other.

Then we have things like the Grand Canyon, or the Rocky Mountains…

Doomers don’t understand that patriotism isn’t about ignoring the flaws, but understanding that not a single one of us are perfect; even a flawed diamond is beautiful.

I hope y’all have a great July 4th! 🍔🌭🇺🇸

Am I the only one creeped out by these stupid little mascots we got?

These creepy, basketball-headed 'people' we got with their creepy freaking hands.

I wanna meet the person who signed off on these and slap them so hard.

I noticed nearly all customers that do this have a 100% rate on this.

So sometimes we get products that don't have a barcode; all well and dandy as I call someone to get another exactly same product with a bar code.

I then offer to give the customer the item without the barcode, explaining that we can put the one with the barcode back on the shelf to make it easier for both ourselves and the next customer.

Nope, EVERY TIME they INSIST on getting the item with the barcode, and it's usually stuff like produce in the mesh bag.

Do they plan on returning it? Why do they need the bar code on their item, it's not like a status thing?

I've asked and some just go "I just want it"

Why do they want to make it much more difficult... is it because I'm asking someone greedy to be altruistic?

The Perfect Store, according to how customers act. (Story by me!)

Today I will be discussing the ultimate store for our customers. We've seen their behavior and listened to them and now it is time to deliver on our promises as Big Conglomerate Retail Inc.

Floorplan

The store will be completely sterile white like the Apple Store; customers respond poorly to bright colors and it over-stimulates them; our products behind perfectly white curtains to ensure the myriad of colors do not affect this either.

We have no music except the occasional beeping and booping, we don't want our older customers to hear 'heathen music' during their experience.

The store is the same as a skyscraper; since customers wish to return ANYTHING to the store, we need the floor space to sell the items; you want to return a half-eaten steak? Your car? A gnawed-on Action Figure? Be our guest!

We have a huge selection of items 'in the back', so you don't miss out!

Don't forget, our store is open 24/7!

Employees

We only hire the best, compliant employees. They are given an ultimatum that they must give up their family, social life, or hobbies to ensure that they are ready to help the customer regardless of what time it is! Does the customer want a pair of shoes and an Easy Bake Oven at 3 AM? SO BE IT!

To ensure our employees are on call, we make them live in the store in the cots provided.

Our employees only wear burlap sacks as the uniform, any personality physically makes our customers uncomfortable. We also train our employees to only say two words on the salesfloor; "Hello!" and "Thank You!" any straying from this is would be immediate termination.

Employees must also know everything in the store, so every morning we wake them up and force them into classes to memorize the prices and barcodes. They also will be able to do anything to change pricing in the store, can't have pesky managers do it because you're a customer, your time is super important.

Employees are also expendable. If a customer doesn't like them for any reason and wants the employee fired, we will execute said employee in front of everyone to ensure our customers know we take their complaints seriously!

I hate when people insulting you suddenly have a hero complex

I admit, I do have an issue with taking insults at face value; comes with the depression but I am slowly working on it.

Now that we have context. I hate when someone is insulting me, let's say they call me 'worthless' with such anger in their voice that it hurts.

Most folks tell me: "Oh just suck it up! Quit being a wuss! Man up!" etc. etc.

But then I just shrink and go: "Guess I'm worthless..."

Suddenly the person insulting me suddenly gets some weird hero complex and says one of three things.

1.) "Oh that's a cop out!"

2.) "I didn't mean it!"

or my favorite

3.) "Why are you taking what I say seriously?"

No, you don't get to be a hero; you ordered the damn steak, now you're going to eat said damn steak.

Finally free!

So after my father died in March, I’m getting a small windfall of roughly 50k and will be moving to a smaller town with my mom so I can keep an eye on her (she’s getting 50k) too.

I can semi-retire by investing half of what I got, and finally work on my entrepreneurial endeavors!

I’m finally free! Free from retail! Free from Karen’s and Boomers screaming at me about the prices!

I haven’t been this happy in years.

How is this that hard!?

So when these idiots look between the two screens confused, they do their card then just stare at the other screen, then begin looking between the two.

I tell them to hit the card button in the BIG SCREEN

It is 100% impossible to not know this; I’m giving them 1 answer as there is only one answer.

The PIN PAD IS NOT BIG.

These same dingleberries know the difference between large and small at McDonald’s but not screens?

And if this were the case of wanting me to do it… I have 5 other registers to work with so I’m not a babysitter as TODDLERS KNOW THIS.

Seriously thought it was illiteracy that was the issue, how did these people forget different sizes!?

Until I’m convinced otherwise, I’m going to continue thinking they cannot do anything unless directly told to do so.

But that makes no sense because how do they clothe themselves? Eat? Drive? Work?

BIG AND SMALL ARE DIFFERENT YOU KNOW THIS I KNOW THIS URGGGGGGH IM GOING TO SCREAM!
