A BL series where the characters aren't already in love, and we slowly get to see the process of them falling in love.
I'm a relatively new fan of BL dramas. I've watched the following BLs:
Khemjira (9/10)
Love Upon a time (8/10)
Your sky (7/10)
I feel you linger in the air (Dropped)
Not Me (10/10)
Out of these, Not Me was the only BL which I felt was absolutely perfect in every way. The chemistry was a billion times better than the rest.
Don't get me wrong, I really loved the other BLs, but in almost all of them, both the characters were already in love or felt a pull towards each other due to a past connection.
I'm not a fan of love at first sight or stories where they both kinda like each other from the beginning and for the rest of the episodes, they just flirt and dance around each other for whatever reason.
I want to see the process of them falling in love. Not Me did that very well. Sean and White weren't immediately in love the moment they met. They didn't immediately feel a connection. You get to see that happening as the plot moves forward.
Your sky was better in that aspect because although Thomas's character already had a crush, Kong's character took time to fall in love.
I don't mind one character having an unrequited crush or one friend liking the other as long as we get to see them slowly getting together instead of immediately feeling a connection.
Can someone give me a show where they're friends or enemies or strangers who slowly fall in love and we get to see the process? I would also love it if the plot wasn't fully focused on the romance, if there's some other plot to move the story forward. Thank you!
A witch offers you one of her magical artifacts in exchange for exactly ONE day of your lifespan. Which one are you choosing?
The Anklet
A small anklet. While wearing it, you only need 2 hours of sleep to feel completely rested. You instantly fall asleep the moment you decide to and automatically wake up in 2 hours, feeling refreshed and energetic. You can always take it off, and you'll go back to requiring your usual amount of sleep.
The Earring
A single earring. Wearing it tells you very briefly what other people think of you. When you wear it, you start seeing a small text bar above every person's head. The text will show that person's overall opinion of you in short sentences. For example: Strangers will show the text "Doesn't know you, doesn't care." A friend's text bar might say "Loves you, but occasionally finds you annoying." A co-worker's text "Hates you and wishes you wouldn't talk to them."
The Bracelet
While wearing this, you never feel hunger. Food looks unappetizing, and you never feel the need to eat. The bracelet magically pumps the perfect amount of daily nutrients into your body. You naturally become a very healthy person. You can always take it off and go back to regular eating.
The Ring
The ring allows you to see people's true nature. Wearing it, you see a halo around every person's head. The halo appears in three colours:
- White: If a person has a white halo, they are overall a good person. Their actions up until now have been mostly good or harmless. Dim white means they're mostly decent. Bright white means they're an exceptionally good person.
- Red: A toxic, selfish or bad person. They have deliberately or maliciously caused others harm. Bright red means they are verbally abusive or actively malicious. Deep, dark red means they're a physical abuser or someone who uses violence against people.
- Black: It appears only above someone who has maliciously murdered or tortured someone. Self defense doesn't count. For example, if a soldier murders someone in battle, their halo doesn't appear black unless they took pleasure from the act itself.
The Necklace
The necklace gives you a full makeover any time you want. Whenever you give a command and close your eyes, your body instantly gets a flawless makeover, hairstyle, and a full outfit (clothes, shoes, jewellery) included. The necklace chooses the clothes that look the absolute best on you. You will always be the most stylish person in the room. (The clothes cannot be sold, and they must be touching some part of your body at all times or they instantly vanish.)
The artifacts can only be used by you. Once you take it off, it becomes an ordinary object for everybody else. It will only work when you wear it.
Which artifact are you buying from the witch?
What is a kdrama you will never stop recommending to people?
For me, it's Under the Queen's Umbrella.

I'll never stop recommending this kdrama. It had a solid plot from start to finish.

It didn't have any fillers or any scenes that I thought was boring or useless. Everything had a purpose, and the ending was very satisfying and beautiful.

The Queen's love for her sons, her strength and tenacity was just amazing to watch.

If you want to watch a show where a woman truly dominates everyone using her pure strength, wit and determination, this is the show for you.

Amazing watch. 10/10.

What's your kdrama that you will never stop recommending to people?
I just don't understand why the men in my country can't see women as people.
I'm sick of this bullshit, man. Why can't I just fucking exist? I'm literally not doing anything. I'm just existing as a person.
I have blocked literally ALL subreddits from my country, but I still get recommendations in my home feed, and it's just men crying about how women are cheaters, liars, gold-diggers, useless baggage who don't own a home, who mooch off men etc etc.
It's just so fucking disheartening. I'm just a person like you are, like we all are. Why can't you just see me as a person, as a goddamn human being?
Meme subs of my country are filled with memes about body counts of modern women, about how men are the ones who are truly the oppressed group, about how there's no "equality" in the country because laws all favour women etc etc.
There's no logic to this. The comments are all bashing women. Do these people not know any women at all? It makes me feel depressed to my core, because what the fuck is this life where I'm not even seen as a human being?
Why can't these people just think of us as human beings? Why do they band up against us? What have we done? I'm genuinely so done. Sometimes, I feel sick to my stomach. I'm starting to lose all hope in humanity.
You get $1M tax-free, but you have to sit in a room with two completely blind tigers for 3 hours. Do you do it?
A billionaire is bored and wants to watch someone survive this experiment. Everything will be done truthfully. You won't be sabotaged or deliberately done dirty in any way.
The deal:
You spend 3 hours with two blind tigers. The door to the room will be open. You enter the room on your own. When you feel like you've positioned yourself nicely, you give a thumbs up to the camera. The door closes and locks behind you. You must stay in the room for exactly 3 hours. If you survive, you get $1M.
The tigers:
The tigers are fully grown adults. They are 100% blind but their sense of hearing and smell are perfectly intact. And also, they have not been fed a meal beforehand.
The room:
It is a completely empty concrete room measuring 20ft x 20ft. There's nothing in the room except you, the tigers, and a camera near the ceiling.
Rules:
You are not allowed to bring any weapons into the room. You're not allowed to harm the tigers in any way. If the tigers are injured in any way, the deal is off, and you walk away with no money.
Do you accept the deal? What are some clever ways to distract the tigers? What are some creative ways to survive the 3 hours? How do you mask your smell?
One more year to go before I can open this letter. I wonder what my teenage self had to say about me.
You're given a magical button. Each time you press the button, you either instantly receive $10k, or you time-travel to the past for 12 hours. 50/50 chance. Do you press it?
You are handed a mysterious button. Every single time you press it, there is a 50/50 chance of one of two outcomes:
- Outcome A: You instantly receive $10k.
- Outcome B: You are instantly teleported to a random time period in the past for exactly 12 hours. If you successfully survive the 12 hours, you are rewarded $5k upon arrival back home.
Some details:
- With the button, you are also given an average size backpack. You will be transported along with the backpack and whatever can physically fit inside that backpack, plus whatever clothes you are wearing at the time you press the button.
- You will always teleport to solid land. You won’t be dropped into the middle of the ocean, outer space or volcano.
- You won't be dropped into a completely unsurvivable era like the Big Bang or something. It will always be an environment where human life is biologically capable of surviving for 12 hours if you plan things right.
Do you press it? If so, how many times do you press it? What do you pack in your bag?
A zombie apocalypse is coming. A diety leaves you in charge of saving as much of human civilization as possible. For this purpose, they give you the power to control any 10 people in the world. Which 10 people do you choose? What are your plans to save humanity using these 10 people?
A bored diety passing by Earth sees a Zombie apocalypse coming in its future. They choose you to save humanity (for shits and giggles). They tell you the following things:
- The zombie apocaplyse will happen two years from now.
- It's unstoppable, and you're not told how or why it happens.
- You will be given 10 servants to help you make all arrangements.
- You can choose your 10 servants from the people currently alive on Earth. It can be anyone: global leaders, scientists, billionaires, research specialists.
- You and your 10 servants will be completely immune to the Zombie virus. You can still be eaten or killed by the Zombies, but you cannot be infected. (You cannot pass on this immunity to your children.)
- You cannot choose anyone you personally know or are related to as servants. This rule is to ensure you choose actually useful people and not your loved ones.
- The deity will personally visit your 10 servants to tell them everything. You will be declared their leader. They will all be told to contact you the next day.
- The deity will put a magic spell on them. If any of them tries to betray you, or to go against your direct orders, they will experience agonizing pain until they submit. They will feel compelled to follow your command. Even if they hate you, they will be forced to follow your every word.
About Zombies:
- The zombie bodies do not rot, starve or freeze. The virus keeps the host alive for years. They can run as fast as humans. They require very little sustenance. They can survive eating just rats for years. However, they crave human flesh more than anything so they will attack any humans they see.
- Which ten people do you choose?
- How do you save human civilization or as much of it as possible? What are your plans?
- What preparations will you take?
Bought a small pack of cookies. Really loved it, so I went and bought the bigger pack only to find out they both taste and look completely different. What in the actual fuck.
I really loved the taste of the small pack so I bought the bigger pack, and it tastes completely different?
Why do they have the same name and same design if the cookies are completely different?
I bought a bigger pack because I wanted more of the same cookies, not an upgraded version with chocolate chips!
They taste completely different. Money wasted. I really hate the taste of them so it's going straight in the trash. I guess I'll just buy multiple small packs instead.
You will be paid $50,000 tax-free every single month. In exchange, one day of every month you will suffer horrific, excruciating pain for exactly 24 hours.
The deal
- One random day every month, you suffer horrific pain. The pain is so absolute and intolerable that you will be writhing and screaming on the floor.
- In fact, it is so bad that you'd rather end your life right then and there. You'd do anything to end the pain, including actively trying to kill yourself and others that stop you from killing yourself.
- The pain day is random, but you will feel it coming on 24 hours beforehand. You will experience heart palpitations, excessive sweating, dull joint aches etc. You will know when it's coming, like periods every month.
- You're allowed to tell others about this. You can hire bodyguards to watch you or to tie you down so you don't harm anyone.
- Each month you survive, you receive $50k.
Aftermath
- After every episode, if you're alive, every single illness, pain, or disease in your body is completely healed. You instantly become the healthiest human being. You will age gracefully and disease-free.
- Your skin will glow, and you naturally look healthy and attractive even if you weren't before.
- You will not suffer from any lasting psychological damage. You will remember being in agony but the pain itself will remain a little vague and distant in your memory. You won't ever be able to recall what it truly felt like.
You are given two contracts to choose from
- The Lifelong Contract: Once chosen, it can never be cancelled. It's a lifelong contract. $50,000 for 1 pain day a month, forever.
- The 1-Year Trial Contract: You do this for 1 year as a trial. However, you are only paid half the amount during this trial which is $25,000 a month. After 1 year, you can terminate the contract or you can upgrade to lifelong contract.
Bonus
- Say, you feel your pain day coming on, but there's a family emergency, and you can't have the pain day this month, you can push the pain day to the next month. However, you won't be paid for the skipped month. For example, you delay March's pain day to April. In April, you will have to endure two pain days, but you will only be paid for April.
- You can skip as many months as you want in a year, but you cannot skip December. If you skip the entire year, you get 12 pain days in December, and you will only get paid for December. You get $0 for the months you skipped.
Do you accept the deal? Which contract do you choose? How do you plan to deal with the pain days every month so you come out of it alive?

Sharing some ridiculous things I've heard from Indian uncles and aunties since I began my weight loss journey.
I'm 27F. I lost 4 kgs in about 2 months, and I'm now 55 kg, 5'3.
I was already a healthy weight. I only wanted to lose weight for aesthetic purposes, so I do understand the concern, but there are some absolutely ridiculous things I've heard from many uncles and aunties I know.
I just wanted to share them so we can all have a small laugh at the ridiculousness of it. Here goes:
Chawal khane se mote hote h. Chawal band karo. Roti se kuch nahi hota. Roti jitna khao utna accha h.
Khana band kyu kar rahi ho. Khane se koi mota nahi hota. Khane ke baad sona nahi chaiye. Khane ke baad sone se mote hote h. Raat ko khana jaldi khao. 5 baje.
Chai pine se mote hote h. Chai kam karo.
Yeh sab genetics pe depend karta h. Tumhari mummy bahot moti h. Umar ho gayi h tumhari. Ab tum patle nahi ho sakte. Genetics h, beta. Faltu tension mat lo.
Khana band krne se thodi patle hote h. Khana khoob khao varna kamjor ho jaogi. Hamare pados me Aunty h jo kuch nahi khati, pure din bhuki rahti h toh bhi 150 kg wajan h uska. Chal bhi nahi sakti h itni moti h. Genetics h.
Subah subah nimbu ka ras shehad me milake pio bas.
Raat ko dahi mat khao bas.
Protein shake mat pio. Isme chemical aata h, beta. Thoda dry fruit doodh me daalke ghar par hi bana lo.
(Dinner at a colleague's house) Arey thoda or ghee le lo. Ghee se thodi koi mota hota h. Hamara shuddh ghee h. Yeh sehat ke liye best h. Milawat wali ghee se mote hote h. Yeh toh shudd ghee h. (And the ghee is Patanjali ghee 😭)
Ek rasgulla khane se thodi moti ho jaogi. Ek kha lo na, me leke aayi hu aapke liye. (This one was well-meaning so I don't fault them too much but it's hard to resist sweets already so please don't make me eat them 😭)
Khane se mote nahi hote h. Muje dekho. Me toh kuch nahi khata toh bhi pet kitna bad raha h. (I insist he tell me all about his daily food intake so I can figure out what is causing his weight gain) He hits me with, "Bas muje ghee bahot pasand h or ghee ke bina me roti nahi kha sakta. Kabhi kabhi toh 1 hafte me pura dabba khali kar deta hu." 🤦🏻♀️
Din ko sote h toh mote hote h.
Bahar ka khana khane se mote hote h. Ghar ka khana khoob khao. Bahar ka khana band kar do bas.
Roz nariyal ka pani piyo. Jaldi patle ho jaoge.
BONUS: So, I love curd and eat a lot of curd with every meal. For years, my friends and family teased and scolded me, saying how I shouldn't eat so much curd, especially to avoid curd at night etc. After I began tracking my calories, I realised that in my strictly Indian, vegetarian diet, curd was literally my ONLY source of protein for YEARS 🤡 These people almost shamed me into giving up even that tiny bit of protein.
Disclaimer: I know most of these might be well meaning and a lack of knowledge about nutrition and a balanced diet, but we have every knowledge available to us in an instant. Most of them refuse to accept the truth even after you show them the truth online. They'll believe any bullshit from WhatsApp but not from google 🤡
