Help with a bigger picture

Medical reporter: Studies have consistently found that taking an aspirin a day thins the blood slightly, thereby helping to prevent or reduce the severity of heart disease. Since heart disease is one of the most common types of ill health in industrialized nations, most people in such nations would therefore be in better health if they took an aspirin a day.

I see two issues with this argument :

1- going from heart diseases to overall health

2- The most common type of disease that most people should prevent

What type of flaw are they?

Would it be whole to part/part to whole?

I want to see/learn it in a bigger picture to memorize for future instances.

And

I am doing some flash cards to remember the conditionals and some terms since I find myself coming back to the book to remember them.

This is what I have for AND:

If the Philippines and Germany unite, the world becomes a better place.

P + G —-> W

contrapositive -W—-> -P or -G

We need to meet BOTH conditions to activate this conditional otherwise we cannot activate it

If the world does not become a better place, then the Philippines and Germany did not unite.

———

Logical mistakes:

If the world becomes a better place — we don’t know why (it could have been for another reason)

If the Philippines and Germany do not unite — > we don't know (the world could still become a better place)

We cannot infer anything from the above!

Now, how do I diagram if the AND is on the necessary side?

Is there a way to simplify this?

TIA

What type of question is this one?

Policy: The factory’s safety inspector should not approve a new manufacturing process unless it has been used safely for more than a year at another factory or it will demonstrably increase safety at the factory.

Application: The safety inspector should not approve the proposed new welding process, for it cannot be shown to increase safety at the factory.

Which one of the following, if true, justifies the above application of the policy?

I think is sufficient assumption but I am a little lost with the question stem and the way I should be solving it.

Should I re-do wrong answers?

I have kept a "wrong journal" but it seems that writing them down takes me a great amount of time. Should I go back and re-do them and type them instead of redoing them?

Also, is it a good idea to redo them maybe some time after I got them wrong?

I feel I am keeping a journal, but it would be more helpful to go back and redo them - like a reinforcing mechanism.

TIA

Nurse Practitioner 😫😴

So this is the second time it’s happened to my brother and me. I’m happy my mom is a doctor (another country) but god imagine anyone else?

The first time I go I knew it was a nurse practitioner and didn’t want to see her but I needed the prescription. I ended up getting steroids even though I had a high fever and signs of infection.

My brother went to urgent care and again had a high fever and signs of infection (tonsillitis) and again steroids.

What is happening? Why are we allowing this?

They don’t know to send anything else besides steroids for literally everything?

Help with this question

Can anyone explain me why D is wrong? I know why E is right but I think I’m not completely right about D.

I didn’t pick D because it only says “understanding of human psychology” instead of “understanding of psychology and motivations”

Thank you!

How would you diagram this?

Rodents are small, gnawing mammals characterized by their chisel-like incisor teeth. Although most North American mammal species are not rodent species, most of the individual mammals in North America are rodents.

Study schedule

Hello everyone,

I have been getting better but I have noticed that maybe I’m not practicing as much.

Sometimes I only do one question a day and other days I do sections. I think I should start doing sections daily.

My last sections (LR) were -2 and -8 so I do think I need to start practicing a lot more.

Does anyone have a good study schedule?

Thank you!

Admission consultants

Hello everyone,

There is a guy on Facebook called Brad Barbay who seems really nice and read about Barriers Breakers.

Any other recommendations?

Tired of apps

I’m so tired of meeting people on dating apps either Grindr, Tinder, or whatever they call it. I’ve never had a good experience.

Is there any place you all recommend to meet gay people? Besides the gay bar

I want someone goal and family-oriented.

Maybe I’m asking for too much but I am not hopeless

I'm in Phoenix btw

I do Uber Eats and I just ran a red light. There was a lot of construction and didn’t see “turn left only when arrow in green” 🤦🏻‍♂️ I saw the flash…

I live in Tempe and I’m new to Arizona. I’m scared I will have to attend traffic school, lose my license or get in a bigger trouble.

What should I do?

I read people ignore the ticket and nothing happens, but I’m not sure what to do.
