Made blackberry jam
Lots of blackberries beside me so I ventured out to pick some, made a pot of jam
Edit: happy to report it’s very tasty!
RIP John and Liam
12th anniversary of losing our brothers in NUFC to Russian terrorism. Whenever this time comes up I think how me, my friends, and how many more of us could have been on that flight doing the crazy stuff they did, following the lads everywhere they go. No justice even now. RIP to them and the other victims 🙏
AMTA for saying no to door to door salesman?
Bloke came to the door with very quick patter to describe a hard luck story as an entry to sell random household items. Had this before and it’s usually some variation on rehab from prison background. I’ve bought stuff before and it’s usually poor quality.
This time the guy said he was an army veteran and there was a good response from neighbours and sales would help him feed his family for the night.
My instinct is it’s a scam or a cheap sales ploy to play on my sympathy, but I like to help people and feel bad for saying no. Is my instinct right to politely say no?
Edit: should read AITA :)

Finished Thrawn Trilogy
Quite a ride. These are my first forays into Star Wars books and it’s taken some adjustment. After having just the dialogue of the many times watched films, to hear / read the heroes say new dialogue was weird at first, but it worked. The Legends’ separation from the films also weird, so almost Star Wars adjacent in places. But overall, the trilogy delivered. A massively satisfying end to The Last Command, I’ll not spoiler it, but it’s a great payoff. The storylines come together very well and I almost yelped with joy!
On the less good side, I think Zain’s action sequences are probably stronger than the storylines, it wanders to seemingly dead ends but works out. I sometimes felt the heroes, especially Leia, were written into seemingly helplessness. Found that frustrating because Leia has always been an action oriented character.
All said, I’m very happy with the read and have ordered Darth Plagueis! Plan is to tackle that, Cloak of Deception, then prequel trilogy.
The marathon runner also had to partake in Shakira law, where his hips had to not lie. He has previously been stabbed 342 times, 100 times fatally and had his phone stolen 160 times, just during the Marathon alone.
He’s also had his thoughts challenged by the thought police, who forced him to think about how welcoming and open London is, a terrible thought to a certain type of meat. Londonistan is a no-go zone now.

Truly unbelievable he even got on the start line TBH
