[Homemade] Dhaba Style Rajma Chawal — red kidney bean curry over rice

Rajma chawal is one of the most common comfort meals across Pakistan and North India, kidney beans slow-cooked in a deeply fried onion-tomato masala, served over rice. This is the dhaba (roadside restaurant) style version, a bit richer and spicier than the everyday home version.

Crispy [Homemade] Chicken Potato Rolls, a snack I can't stop making

Made a batch of these over the weekend and they didn't last the day. Shredded chicken breast mixed with mashed potato, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and fresh coriander, rolled up, coated in egg + breadcrumbs, and deep fried until golden.

Crispy on the outside, soft and juicy on the inside dipped in a spicy mayo-ketchup mix and honestly better than any frozen nugget I've had. Made about 20-25 rolls from the batch, perfect for snacking or as an appetizer for guests.

[Homemade] Chocolate Tiramisu

Layers of coffee-soaked ladyfingers, creamy Philadelphia cream cheese filling, and a silky milk chocolate ganache, finished with a generous dusting of cocoa powder.

I let it chill overnight, and the texture turned out so creamy and soft. The chocolate ganache in the middle makes it extra indulgent.

[Homemade] Fudgy Brownie Cookies

Just made a batch of fudgy brownie cookies with crisp, crackly tops and soft, chewy centers. 🍪

They combine everything I love about brownies and cookies into one bite. The dough is chilled before baking, which helps create that beautiful crackly top while keeping the inside rich and fudgy.

Would you eat these warm with a glass of milk, or add a scoop of vanilla ice cream? 😋

Recipe is in the comments for anyone who wants to try them!

I made these crispy cheese potato balls today! They're made with mashed potatoes, cornstarch, simple seasonings, fresh coriander, and stuffed with mozzarella. No breadcrumbs or coatin. Just fried until golden and crispy on the outside with a gooey cheese center.

They disappeared pretty quickly after they came out of the fryer. 😄 Which dipping sauce would you pair them with?

Made a [homemade] peach cobbler today!

I cooked fresh peaches with white sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, and a little cornstarch before layering them over a buttery batter. After baking until golden, I finished it under the broiler for a few minutes to get that extra crispy top.

Served warm, it's even better with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. What do you think?

[Homemade] Basbousa (Middle Eastern Semolina Cake)

Made this soft, buttery Basbousa today and soaked it with a fragrant rosewater syrup. It has a tender crumb, just the right amount of sweetness, and a sprinkle of pistachios on top for a little crunch.

One of those desserts that's even better after it has time to absorb the syrup.

What do you like to serve with Basbousa—Arabic coffee or tea?
