Just got done with my first LARP session

Months of anticipation. Watching videos, scoping the used market for gear, and trying to find the answers on the "right" beginner setup and finding a board I wanted... Finally, everything came together in the last few weeks, and I was able to get out tonight for the first time.

Basically, I realized I will suck way more than I could have imagined; I largely did some pushing, balance and tic tac practice but you know what... IT WAS SO FREAKING FUN.

I can't wait to get out and LARP again soon. I also only ate sh*t twice, and they were just a small serving, but my hip is sore haha. I am so thankful for pads and meant to even wear some hip pads today but forgot them at home. That won't happen again.

All this to say, get out there and shred gents and gentleladies - I am looking forward to where this journey goes 🤘

The new album got me into Creatures and holy hell did I misjudge that album.

Since Decades came out, I decided I wanted to go back and really experience the metalcore catalogue since my old ass definitely misses that vibe and wow am I really glad I did.

I tend to be a production snob, and I always felt like Creatures was a bit underdone anytime a song would come on so I never gave it the chance it deserved.

That album just slaps even if the production isn't just quite as compressed or layered as is most modern stuff.

Anyways that album slaps and wondering if anyone else went back and did the same or just wants to share their love for Creatures 🤘😉

Women that might self-describe as left leaning or liberal, to what degree would you consider dating a man that has some conservative values though is not republican or MAGA?

Basically title. Hoping to keep this civil and encourage candor! Would like to know your thoughts on this and if it's just a hard no or not.

8.0 complete for a tall 13us foot new skater?

Looking to get into skating. But ya know. Not sure if I'll really love it. How much am I gonna hate myself as a 6'4 guy with 13 shoes on an 8.0 board? I want to skate street and transition too.

Reason I'm asking is there's a really good deal close by otherwise I'd be basically looking at spending over $100

Wanted to say thanks to the peeps here for the tips on breaking in new shoes

So I've been getting back into some vans recently and I really forgot how bad the break-in period can be..

So I wanted to throw a shout out here since between some comments I've seen in random threads here and also tips I've found in some vids on youtube I really appreciate the communities' tips on how to break in especially the heels really quickly!

It took my still painful shoes after several hours of wear time to no more blisters with just a little bit of bending effort and putting some dumbbells on the heels for several hours.

Curious are some quirks in print quality expected?

I'm sure there are some graphics out there that come out great every time, but I just ordered 2 shirts for the first time on teepublic and though one of them is almost satisfactory (way simpler design but blurry nonetheless) the other is fairly blurry and since it's so busy it looks kinda meh.

I mean these are just band shirts and they're on their softstyle blanks which I really like, and they weren't exactly expensive, but I was hoping for some clearer images. Just wondering if this is just kind of expected that print quality won't exactly knock your socks off?

Wow dating apps are terrible in 2026...

I just got back into dating a few weeks ago (M36) and I'm already exhausted. The apps themselves are just awful. So much emphasis on swiping based on limited info of someone's looks or some perceptions of their personalities based on the photos and their shoes ig?

It's just incredible to me how much of this is all about looks. I'm not someone that would say looks don't matter either, they of course do, but heaven forbid people actually post bios or share interests.

I just don't get why I'm supposed to just swipe and hit up someone based on their aesthetic or how good their photos are and then spend time and money to try to interrogate them to figure out if they're a match. Like what in the f is this life.

What's your cutting protocol?

Currently been doing about this and have been getting great results (about 10 lbs in 3 weeks post water weight shed).

I have been throwing in some IF here and there too maybe a couple days a week and also carbs have fluctuated from 40g to 100g on some days, and also some days more spaced-out vs all in the morning, though I usually get the bulk of carbs in the morning. My energy, sleep and satiety have all been great too. I usually walk several miles a week with some elevation variation but no lifting.

So, I'm curious what's everyone's cutting protocol here? I'd say key things for me were cutting dairy to really speed things up. I will still do some cheese or a dollop of sour cream occasionally but nothing lactose or protein heavy since that makes my appetite spike. Also avoiding heavy carb loads at any given time has been paramount I'd say, and also focusing on eating protein at nearly every meal of the day.

Filed a car insurance claim about 6 months ago and now had some lightning damage in my home. Should I file a renter's claim?

I have about $1500 worth of damage from the storm. Really unsure if I should file since everything I read seems to paint a picture that a 2nd claim could really hurt my file. My deductible is $500. What say you all?

Also the car insurance claim was about 1.5k if that's of relevance at all.
