A mod here called my dog fat :( you guys tell me? 68lbs (nice knowing y’all they def banning me)
Literally went through my private profile with admin access to see what my dog looked like 😂
Something is going on with my “expiring” links. They never seem to expire.
I was doing a cleanup of my clips, deleting uneeded ones and naming/trimming lots of them. During this I found out about the auto link-creation setting and disabled it. Here’s where it got weird.
I deleted a bunch of clips, and when I’d restart medal they’d show up again. Looked into it and realized that the clips were being deleted from my files, however they would repopulate when I restart the app due to the server uploaded version. I used the medal iOS app to try deleting the expiring link versions on my profile, and they’d STILL come back.
Only once I deleted the clips on both PC and iOS at the same time, then cleared both of their caches did it properly get rid of those clips.
Now, you can see I found a solution to clear those clips, albeit a tedious one. However I have no clue what’s causing this, these clips are many months old. They’re supposed to have a 14 day timer, but none of them have any timer at all. I do not have premium. Basically every single clip I’ve ever taken got a never expiring link that I can access for some reason
Furthermore, the iOS app’s library shows a bunch of old, deleted clips in the “On your PC section”. None of these clips work though, and they don’t show on the desktop client at all.
Any help would be appreciated!
After about 25 FIA hours I finally had the moment I was waiting for in this match
Since the game is on sale, friendly reminder that if you have a Focusrite Audio interface, it’s MIDI driver is likely what’s blue screening you at launch (in other Battleye games too)
I finally bought this during a sale a few months ago, and was bummed to find that it would blue screen my PC at launch. I knew it was an Anti Cheat (Battleye) issue considering the kernel-related security code, but I couldn’t figure it out and had to refund sadly.
Fast forward, and I since had the same exact issue in Marathon, which also uses Battleye. This time around I narrowed it down to the Focusrite by trying peripherals one by one. This was rough because I use my interface for both output/input, and my headphones are way too high resistance to get volume through the PC.
But then I did MORE digging and it turns out, it’s specifically the Focusrite USB MIDI driver that causes the bluescreen. The device itself or the audio driver will have no affect on their own.
To fix, simply disable the Focusrite MIDI Driver in your device manager.
Removing the device or uninstalling the driver without disabling will not work, I tested this myself. The MIDI side of the device will still be recognized, however without its driver. It should be disabled specifically, then just left alone until needed!
Just re-bought the game for summer sale and excited to get in!
The Rebellion condition isn't the "PvE" some think it is. You can get ratted just the same.
I'm seeing a lot of people who seem to be confused on the "opting in" feature of the Rebellion condition. You don't get to choose whether you are apart of the PvP action per se, you get the option to declare yourself rogue instead.
In some ways it can even feel worse, as there's nothing stopping someone from following you around and just going rogue to rat you before extract like I did here. Cherry on top, you can't damage them while they follow you around. You're only safe if you stick with other Raiders 100 percent of the time.
Not sure if you guys would like this tbh.
