I want to play a game with deep exploration

I’d love to play a game with a large map where there’s lots discover. A game with different climates and biomes, anything that feels like there’s a lot to see and do. I don’t mind combat and I like games that have farming/crafting/survival elements. Any of those would be nice.

I have a Switch 1, Steam Deck and Macbook for options to play on. Thank you!

Games I’ve already played that may fall into this category: Palworld, BOTW, TOTK, No Man’s Sky

Does anyone else not really bother with the townies or story?

I love this game and this isn’t a critique; I feel this way about pretty much any story-driven game with NPCs. I have no desire to romance the townies, make friends, find out what gifts they like. I have a good amount of hours logged for Coral Island and I couldn’t tell you half the townies’ names. I skip cutscenes, avoid conversation. Sometimes it’s unavoidable to progress the game, but otherwise I don’t interact with them.

I just wanna farm! Take care of animals, mine, craft, dive, decorate. I yearn for manual labor! The story and characters don’t interest me in the slightest.

Anyone else 😆

What happens if you fail the OA?

I’m taking D196 and have passed the PA and scheduled to take the OA this weekend. But I’m still not very confident in my ability to pass the OA. What happens if I fail? Will I be allowed to move on to the next course? Or will my start date for the next course be postponed until I pass the OA?

Tips for reading to a toddler who is constantly interjecting?

My NK is 2, quite the talker, and he loves being read to. I read him tons of books during the day. However he constantly interrupts when I'm reading to point out things in the book and ask questions. This isn't a critique, I know this is incredibly normal for his age group and just his way of engaging and interacting. But it makes getting through books quite difficult. Does anyone else have NKs of a similar age who do the same thing? Do you stop reading every time they interject to reply?

I feel like a terrible person anytime I have to kill one of these little guys

They are so CUTE! I wish they were one of the monsters that don’t come after you and ignore you unless you attack them. But they start chasing when they notice you and I’m forced to kill them 😔 They’re so adorable and the little squeaking noise they make when I hit them breaks my heart!!! Poor babies.

Does anyone else play with the game time speed lowered.

I set mine to 60% and it’s perfect. In default setting I often felt like the it was bedtime before I had a chance to do as much as I liked and it was super frustrating. Now my days are nice and long and there’s enough time to get all my chores and errands and exploring done.

Does anyone else prefer it that way as well?

How to pronounce “Ewurafua”?

Hello! I hope this is alright to post here. I made a new friend from Ghana named Ewurafua. I did already ask her how to pronounce it once, and she did but I struggled to say it and unfortunately I’ve already forgotten how. I feel shitty and I don’t want her to know I’m still not sure how to pronounce her name. Can anyone help?
