Discouraged about football

Hello, my 8 yr old really wanted to play tackle football and keeps telling me that he likes it. However, it's breaking my heart to see him barely be part of any of the plays, Even in practice or the games, because he's not one of the better kids. Please reassure me that it really doesn't mean anything at this age.

Need some piece of mind.

My son is 8. Hes very fast, wins all of his track races, is top 3 in big cross country races, etc. He was adamant about playing tackle football this year so I let him. However he's not good, it looks like his head is in the clouds at practice, he can barely make a tackle or run the ball and it just seems like such a waste of time. Also, he's on the bench a lot. Because the culture, the only plays the good kids. Is there still hope for him in football? I keep asking him if he still wants to do it. And he says yes.

Question about mesenteric ischemia.

\

My father in law recently had a big open surgery for a bowel obstruction that was complicated by scar tissue. He is a heavy smoker. Things were going well after the surgery and then about a month later, he began to have very bad abdominal pain . They said he had severe stenosis of the intestinal arteries and suggested palliative and hospice. He went to another health system and they said they could do a stent. Why would the other hospital refuse to do anything? Just wonderingIf somebody can give me some insight as to what is going on.

8 year old behavior

Hello everyone. I'm the mother of an 8 year old boy who is an only child. He gets along very well with other kids and has great behavior in school. He was student of the month and everything. He loves sports he's very kind to his grandparents and he is a social butterfly. However at home he's been calling me stupid idiot Etc when he doesn't get his way or when he thinks I'm being annoying. He never says any curse words it's usually just the words I have mentioned above. Now I feel like I have been a pushover with all of this for too long and it's a really getting to me. He's so disrespectful to me and I'm just now realizing I need to give more consequences. Is it too late for me? How do I go about doing this? I don't want to raise a monster. He's otherwise a great kid when he's happy. He mostly only treats me and his dad like this at home. Help!

8 year old

My 8 year old son is nice to everyone else but me his mom. He has a very good life with both parents at home great grandparents lots of friends. He's very kind to everyone else and the way he speaks to me he would never speak to his grandparents that way. I try to give him as much attention as I can and play with him. I don't know what's going on but he's just blatantly nasty to me. When I asked him why he's doing that he doesn't tell me why and he says that he doesn't care.
