Is there a way to know if a location actually carries the car they offer?
I booked a luxury car a month ago to pick up today. Some things have happened and I need it a little sooner than I had thought.
I called yesterday to ask if picking it up and hour or two earlier would be ok. The guy on the phone said it should be no problem and then looked at my reservation and said they don't have luxury cars and would I be ok with a Corolla. Considering the price difference, I said I would rather have what I reserved. He said he knew the local agent that handles "exotics" and that he would call me in 30 minutes.
He never did, but the exotics thing threw me. I just wanted an audi or something like it.
So I ended up booking one at another location and canceling the first one. This time I called to check after making the reservation but was connected to a general agent, not the location. She assured me they did, but I'm worried I will get there and end up in a corrola again.
