Vaccination with CSU

Anyone or their child with CSU recieve a live vaccine? My child has been battling daily urticaria for a year now. He is due for his varicella vaccine and I am low key panicking. They won't give him a medical exemption and without the exemption it is required for school. We are finally under control with only 2-3 hives each morning and I don't want the vaccine to exacerbate it. Curious what others have experienced with vaccines!

Nugget couch

My newly 5 year old has been terrorizing our sofa with her post kindergarten energy. I am considering purchasing a Nugget for her but we have limited space and I am wondering how long it will remain used. If you have a Nugget couch, at what age did your child stop playing on it?

Online ordering tip

I thought that by picking up my own food and avoiding dining out I could eliminate most requests for tips. Turns out they want a tip for ordering a board game online.

Upcoming kinder math

Hi parents! Where are your littles in learning math basics? Or where were they prior to starting the year for those just finishing K. I have a child starting K in fall. She will still be 4 at the start of the year. She has been in preK and is a good listener, independent with her clothing and snacks. She is doing well in reading but I am a bit worried about math. The teen numbers aren't happening. Any addition questions (2 plus 2) and she enthusiastically shouts out a totally wrong response. I have tried to encourage finger counting but she works so hard on getting her little fingers up individually that she loses focus on the adding. Lol. She can rote count to 20 consistently. I try to count to 100 together a few days a week but it is usually just me with her looking at me like she wished I would shut up. We play little board games. What should I do to help prep her for kindergarten math?

Leaving child alone

At what age did you feel comfortable leaving your child alone? Mine is 5 and not ready, but wondering when I would be able to get in a 30 minute morning jog? Child is well behaved and stays in room after waking until wake up light comes on. Note, I am NOT looking to leave my 5 year old alone, but asking when in the future the average child is safe for half an hour.

What do single parents do for child care in the summer? My little is starting K and can do before and after care during school but I am panicking for holiday breaks and summer. My job is not flexible. Camps would leave me eating ramen which I would manage if they actually covered working hours. I have no family to help. Feeling lost!
