Found this bizarre 90s "Pocket Horrors" mini playset line. Does anyone remember these?

Found this factory-sealed set of four 80s Machine Robo-inspired bootlegs

I recently put together what might be my favorite bootleg robot bundle in years.

It's a complete set of four factory-sealed 80s transforming robot bootlegs featuring names like Executive DX Blood, Double Striger, Millheli, and Super Inter BW-2.

The artwork borrows inspiration from Machine Robo, Gobots, and just about anything else the designers thought looked cool. Every box is completely different, yet somehow they all belong together.

Honestly, these kinds of bootlegs capture the creativity of the era better than many licensed toys.

What's your favorite obscure transforming robot bootleg?

Has anyone seen these Bird Robot vs Zectron figures before?

Found these vintage Condor Robot and Peacock Robot figures with their original Bird Robo vs Zectron packaging.

The combination is incredible: heavy die-cast parts, chrome heads, oversized bird weapons, rainbow decals, and artwork that feels like it came from an alternate '80s timeline.

They have that weird "this shouldn't exist, but somehow it's amazing" energy that makes obscure vintage robots so addictive.

Anyone know more about this Bird Robo line or have other variants?

Vintage Bootleg Transformers from Taiwan

I picked up this Taiwan-made transforming robot set and honestly the packaging might be better than the toy.

You've got "Scramble City," random model numbers, incredible painted artwork, instructions with legendary translated English like "Figure Finished," and a whole universe that feels adjacent to Transformers without quite being Transformers.

These kinds of boxes are becoming harder to find complete because most kids threw them away.

Anyone else collect bootleg packaging as much as the toys themselves?

Bootleg Rambo Doesn't Exist. Or Does He?

Found this vintage "Action Hero" bootleg and I can't stop looking at it.

The card art is pure late-80s action movie insanity: explosions, giant weapons, impossible hero proportions.

Then you get to the actual figure.

Red hair. Bare abs. Sci-fi rifle. Generic commando vest.

It feels like somebody combined Rambo, G.I. Joe, Action Force, and a random VHS cover into a single toy.

The mismatch between the artwork and the figure might actually be the best part.

Curious what everyone sees first.

Rambo clone?

G.I. Joe cousin?

Or its own weird thing entirely?

Rambo + G.I. Joe + Chaos

The artwork got a Hollywood budget.

The toys got lunch money.

1980s bootleg perfection.

Rambo.
G.I. Joe.
Pure confusion.

I need this.

Found this today and I can’t stop looking at it.

It’s a wind-up “Super Rider” with a very questionable Wonder Woman sculpt riding a Kawasaki 750… plus training wheels.

The proportions are off, the face is weirdly calm, and the chrome is everywhere. Feels like 3 different toys merged into one.

Peak bootleg energy.

No idea why the soldier looks like that.

No idea why the helicopter is… that detailed.

And the screen? pure chaos.

Runs on tiny button cells.

“8×3 Levels” but feels like 0 logic.

Bootleg energy is unreal.

Kind of obsessed with it.

Anyone seen this version before?

Alright, I need to know… who approved this back in the day? 😂

Three insanely jacked wrestlers casually shredding on chunky plastic skateboards like it’s the most normal thing ever. No branding logic, no backstory… just pure chaotic toy design energy.

And honestly? I kind of love it.

90年代の変な発想が最高だね It’s weird, it’s bold, and it screams vintage toy shelf energy.

Anyone else remember toys that made absolutely zero sense but still slapped?
