This is a video describing a political system which combines elements of technocracy and democracy, and I find the ideas discussed vestry intriguing.
I have played a lot of worldbix an I’m familiar with most everything in the game. Any ideas on something fun I could do? Maybe like a simulation of some kind?
Stella has betrayed democratic values and the constitution. She is no longer a servant on the people, but a tyrant.
As you all know, Stella has transformed into a strange arcane being. This has been a shock to us all, and due to the poorly understood nature of this condition, we feel that Stella needs to take some time off to focus on herself while leaving the nation in the steady hands of her VP. In her current state Stella is not fit to rule as president. Her mental state in not stable and we do not understand how this will continue to affect her. Stella’s unstable mental state is evidenced by her barbaric killings in Lapovo. She has been sued but could not be brought to justice because the supreme court is suspended.
This brings us to our next point. Stella has suspended the courts and parliament, effectively turning DoR into a presidential dictatorship. While we understand that a new constitution is in the works, we believe that this does not require or justify suspending the existing constitution until the new one comes into effect. This move is blatantly unconstitutional, and Stella has no regard for the constitution, and yet she is being allowed to continue to rule because the other branches cannot act.
We are not just here to complain, but also to propose a solution. We call upon the Legislature and Supreme Court to defy the president’s unconstitutional orders and continue to operate. When tyranny becomes law, resistance becomes duty. This is the purpose of checks and balances, so when one branch of government goes off the rails, the others can intervene to restore order and democracy. With the courts and legislature in operation, Stella can be sued and prosecuted for her actions while the legislature can vote to impeach her, bringing an end to this tyranny.

Recent developments:
Fire spread in Tutum slower than expected.
Fire spread in Eosara slower than expected.
The heat bubble over northern Tutum has burst bringing rain to the region, causing Obrograd, Khantannia, TFT, and much of northern Tutum to no longer be under warning.
Southwesterly winds have improved air quality in northeast Tutum.
Crown fires have spread in some areas of Eosara.
The Longville corridor has expanded and fire has been driven from the outskirts of Longville due to major firefighting operations.
A few days ago we took a little saunter
along with AdLocal down the mighty Calla River.
We stocked our ships full of dorian water and hoses
and we saw the bloody fires on the outskirts of Longville.
We blasted our hoses and the fires kept a-comin'.
There wasn't as much as there was a while ago.
We fired once more and they kept on burnin’
across east Eosara to the Insignant Border.
We’d look at the forest and we see'd the trees burnin’.
And there must have been a hundred of 'em lit up with fire.
They burned so bright and they filled the air with smoke.
We stood beside our Liberty! Raft and didn't say a thing.
We blasted our hoses and the fires kept a-comin'.
There wasn't as much as there was a while ago.
We fired once more and they kept on burnin’
across east Eosara to the Insignant Border.
AdLocal said, "We could stop the fire’s spread
if we dig some fire breaks 'til we cleared out all the plants”.
We dug fire breaks 'til the land was all cleared,
then we opened up fire hoses and really gave it.
Well, We blasted our hoses and the fires kept a-comin'.
There wasn't as much as there was a while ago.
We fired once more and they kept on burnin’
across east Eosara to the Insignant Border.
Yeah, it burned through the briers and it burned through the brambles
and it burned through the bushes where a rabbit couldn't go.
It spread so fast that animals couldn't escape.
Across east Eosara to the Insignant Border
I believe in democracy politically but I also have some technocratic tendencies too. This got me wondering: Can a democratic technocracy exist? Also if not what checks and balances can prevent totalitarianism in a technocracy?
I recite my lines nervously one last time as I stand in the cold concrete halls of the central bunker. I consider myself lucky to have such a bunker to retreat to during this fire, thanks to u/UndertalePedro-1.
As I get onto the stage on the harsh florescent lights shine down upon me and the murmurs of the crowd loudly echo through the chamber. I pick up the microphone and begin to speak. Hello Dorians. Today I have a simple request. I know the election isn’t the first thing on your mind, but it’s coming up fast. Those communists claim to be helping the common Dorian against exploitation. They’ve exiled many great Eosarans like EJD and Scar. They’ve started the fires through reckless military actions under their so called NEP. They’ve driven out business through excessive taxes. And who helped us through these tough times? It was the common Eosaran. The soldiers, the firefighters, the medics. When I saw a crisis in this town I did what any patriotic DoRian would do. I came here to work to save lives. And what did the communists do? They tried to deport me. For what? For taking matters into my own hands?
These commies don’t want us to help each other. They don’t want us to think for ourselves. They don’t want us to find employment from each other. They want us to look to the government for everything. They want us to look to the government for everything. They want us weak helpless and easy to control.
We need to look not to the government but to ourselves, to our communities, and to god. This is why I have joined the Liberty! Leag. I am currently running for vice president and I request your vote. “What do we get out of this?” You may be asking.
While I can’t make any promises I will do my best to achieve the following goals.
At the end I yell out one final line with conviction and enthusiasm “Vote Liberty! League for Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.” As I finish my speech the crowd erupts with noise. A mix of booing and heckling with cheering. Some even try to throw trash at me. I do my best to maintain my composure and exit the podium calmly.

I first heard word of these fires a few weeks ago while working as a combat nurse in Longville. I would see soldiers and refugees from Illogan coming in with burns and smoke inhalation who told of uncontrollable fires.
I looked it up online for more info. Apparently reports indicate that the fire was originally started by the scorched earth tactics used in the Dorian Military’s retreat to slow down the Insignant Armies. Due to the dry climate of eastern Eosara the fire quickly got out of control.
There was a silver lining. The fires largely blocked the Insignant advance. Without the fires I’m sure Insignant armies would be storming the gates of Longville. While walls of fire cause a physical barrier, the smoke is the real killer. The winds blow west to east, so the smoke is blowing straight into Insignant Forces. The air is too thick with smoke for soldiers to breathe well, it damages and clogs up Insignant equipment, and it reduces visibility creating disorder and preventing navigation. In some spots the Insignants have even been pushed back by the fire’s advance.
Over the past few weeks the fire surged across the plains. parts of Illogan have burned down. In the south the fire is temporarily blocked by the Doggie River. In the west and north the fire has turned into a raging crown fire in the pine forests of the Caveman Hills and and Working Mountain. This has made for an eerie sight in Longville where each night the mountains around our city glow scarlet red. 50,000 square kilometers are burned. In the Caveman Hills the fire threatens to bypass the Doggie River and spread to Tutum, which is particularly vulnerable due to the heatwave and accompanying drought drying out the landscape and creating lots of dead vegetation.
I proposed an idea for RP regarding wildfires in eosara. The idea is described in a separate post linked here After talking to wuhumi and Stop Eating Minecraft about it on discord, wuhumi said to ask eosarans for permission since a lot is going on there right now.
I have an idea which I think would be realistic and add an interesting element to the war. I tried to ask the GMs via Reddit DM, Discord, and modmail, but I got no response so I’m posting it here. The idea may sound a little outdated because it's from several OORP cats ago, but I think it still works. It's not cannon until GMs approve.
Here’s the idea: widespread wildfires. Because of the dry climate in eastern Eosara and the scorched earth tactics during the heat of summer, wildfires have started burning across eastern Eosara’s plains across the vast horizons during amber yellow feilds black with ash and smoke.
In the southern and eastern faces of working mountain was well as in the eastern caveman hills the fires have turned into crown fires burning the pine forests to the ground and from longville you can see the mountains growing and ominous red.
The fires threaten to spread southwest into Tutum, made vulnerable by the heatwave.
There is a silver lining though. Insignant forces are struggling to advance with smoke blinding their vision and filling their lungs due to westerly winds and a wall of fire blocking their advance, explaining why they haven’t overrun the region yet.
It has been 1 week (IRP time) since I arrived at Longville. When I arrived the city was swollen to 3 times it’s original size, and entirely militarized. The decaying local infrastructure was overwhelmed, but temporary military infrastructure helped. When I first arrived I was struck by the poverty of the locals. The town was a slum. beggars filled the streets. There was a famine underway and most of the population was emaciated with the occasional starved corpse on the roadside. Desperate locals would try to mug me to find food or money in my person but they were too weak and frail form hunger to succeed. The already desperate population has grown anxious since the war broke out. The anxiety was almost as palpable as in the train here. Luckily wartime operations had boosted the local population and employed much of the population, as well as bringing some food in the form of military rations.
In the camp I spent the last several days erecting tents, carting in medical supplies, and attending training sessions in preparation for the battle. The days were long and hot and sweaty and anxiety ridden, but we all knew it was worth it for a righteous cause. Many starving people from Longville came in, along with injured and traumatized refugees from Illogan and the surrounding plains, and sometimes the occasional wounded soldier. That said, our hospitals were far from overwhelmed thanks to our robust medical system.
Now as I make rounds from tent to tent, doling out refeeding foods, Oral Rehydration Solution, and Ibuprofen, I am racked by anxiety. I know the Insignant army is far away and Longville is well defended, but I know their forces are powerful, but I don’t know how powerful. What if too many wounded soliders come in and some have to be left to die? What if we get bombed? What if the Insignants surprise us and take Longville? The battle should start and moment now.
Bellvm… bellvm nvmqvam mvtat.
With all the chops in the past few weeks my life is turned upside down. For a few months I have been living peacefully working a a medical assistant in Lapovo.
Earlier I had announced my candidacy for for VP. The response: crickets. no public interest. 0$ in the campaign fundraiser.
But none of that matterd, because almost like the gods themselves wanted to screw over my campaign, war had erupted. The news we everywher, everyone around us was talking about it. Especially since we live only 50km from the Insignant border. The tension that day was thick enough to cut with a knife.
I had resreched the Insignant empire before this. I knew the threat they pose. I knew that unless we harness the efforts and dedication of the entire nation, Doria would die and we would all die with her.
I knew that my campaign and its petty politics could wait. My nation needs me. I enlisted with the nurse corps to put my medical skills to use. I am expected in 4 days in Longville.
I quit my job in Lapovo, despite their shortage of workers due to the war I know I must leave. I spent the last two days anxiously packing whatever I can, and sleeplessly thinking about the war ahead. I am now at the train station ready to head off for Longville. The station is packed with soldiers and military personnel heading north to Eosara and refugees arriving in Lapovo. Fear fills the air and the talking and crying of the crowd drowns out the sounds of crowded overloaded trains leaving, and the heat and stench of the crowd in the warm summer air is stifiling.
Eventually my train arrives. I try to enter as throngs of people jsotle and shove into the train. I manage to squeeze in. I can’t afford a seat so I’ll have to stand like most of the other riders. The smell and the heat and the noise and the tension in the air is even worse as we set out from the station. It will be a long 36 hours before we arrive in Longville. but despite the discomfort and anxiety, a solidarity can be found between us all. We will all have to suffer through this train ride and face the war together, and we are all doing this for the survival of our nation, our communities, our families, and ourselves.
