[Thank You] Recent and Some That Feel Behind My Desk!
My goodness, these are from months ago!
[Thank You] "Sunday is the golden clasp that binds together the volume of the week.” - Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
I feel so tired and foggy. I'm trying to figure out how to get enough nutrients into my body without the heavy carb load. I feel like all I eat anymore is vegetables!
Here are the thank-yous of the week, in no particular order:

reddit.comSevere Anxiety at 2mg Dose
Just took my third dose on Saturday. I've gotten two iron infusions the last two Wednesdays. My anxiety was so severe that I was shaking and had butterflies in my stomach. Couldn't catch my breath. I've never been nervous about having an IV before.
I've been having chest pain, shortness of breath, increased diarrhea, feeling of impending doom at bedtime. My doctor prescribed .25 mg Xanax. I had to take two before my infusion on Wednesday. I'm white-knuckling my way through. I thought it was just nerves and possible side effects from Graves disease. My thyroid labs are normal, though. I thought maybe I was shaken after a recent minor car accident. Looks like I was wrong. Everything points to the increase in ozempic being the culprit. My life is hell right now. Driving anywhere makes my heart race, I'm having intense nightmares. I have no energy and I'm having diarrhea 10-15 times a day. Slow gastric emptying means my Lyrica isn't being absorbed, so I'm in constant, overwhelming pain. Abdominal pain. Constant nausea.
I plan to go to my doctor's office at opening time on Monday and wait to be squeezed in somewhere. I'm currently on the couch doing box breathing and trying to distract myself with television. My anxiety has never been this intense. I'm afraid to go anywhere, especially anywhere medical. Isn't it crazy that the hospital is where we go for help, but it's the scariest place there is?
I could use some reassurance. I'm going to ask about lowering my dose and tapering more slowly. I'm hoping the panic will decrease, but I've read that some people have anxiety after stopping ozempic.
Stats- 44F, on ozempic for 3 years after Prednisone made me hyperglycemic, prior history of managed anxiety. Graves disease, hyperthyroidism, pre-diabetic. Methimazole, Cymbalta, hydroxyzine, Lyrica, Omeprazole, Metformin.
Thanks for your help.
[Thank You] For All the Happy Mail
I did my second iron infusion yesterday and I'm feeling pretty good today. Spending some time with my dear Gordon Ramsey and shaking my head in disbelief at the behavior of people running restaurants around the country on Kitchen Nightmares. Makes me appreciate the good stuff!
On to the thank-yous:
[Thank You] Trying to Catch Up!
I had my first iron infusion on Wednesday. I'm still pretty wiped out. I'm finishing about three cards a day. I have three more infusions to go, then hopefully some new energy!
It's been so nice finding cards in the mailbox to read in bed. Love you all! 🥰

Please comment your favorite Star Wars character and we will choose six people at random. I'll probably write a quote on the back or something.
