There aren't enough people talking about Nightmare Kart
My god this game is fantastic. I'm at a loss for words, that was an incredible experience and I can't wait for The Old Karts.

I understand this is an oddly small subreddit but if people are continually posting here instead of the main subs then I feel it shouldn't be left as the default yk?
If there is something next, I can't quite tell. I just finished Mea Culpa and what I took from it is we gave Crisanta our "good ending" (ending B) and then sorta self imposed the end of our own penance.
Not that there has to be a dlc just because there's a potential to add a 6th weapon. But I would love to see more of this world, maybe even a third game as Crisanta after ending C!
Side notes:
I feel bad for the Son of the Miracle, bro's just a chill guy.
The two Mea Culpa bosses sorta feel disconnected? Asterion has a cool story after reading his mask, but I don't understand what the post credit scene is supposed to imply.
I have 99%! I have 100% of the map unlocked and I seem to have all items, any idea what I'm missing? (Edit: solved!)
Unfortunately the cutscenes prevent me from putting this game above Blasphemous 1, I was especially bugged that the Asterion cutscene showed the normal heart, but the background had continuity and showed the opened heart.
I played Blasphemous 2 on launch, and loved it, although not quite as much as the first game due to the lack of pixel art cutscenes and being disappointed at the lack of Crisanta (I really hoped we'd get to play as her, at least in the DLC. It was a perfect setup narrative-wise and also in the same sense that Hornet was in Hollow Knight). I completed all content aside from getting all the carvings.
I was kinda turned off from playing the dlc after hearing the negative reception as well as it costing money when previous dlc's were free. In addition to some discomfort regarding what I heard about the story:
I thought Mea Culpa represented his penance and now that his penance is over, he shouldn't have it anymore?? Plus I was disappointed to hear that there's a new ending, since the ending of the main game was just so good, as an ending and for the penitent one.
And now, a 2nd dlc has suddenly released and it's free?? Is the Mea Culpa DLC still paid? I think I already bought it. And this Third Sin dlc seems to have just as much content if not more, it's quite bizarre. Did The Game Kitchen just do this in response to the backlash? Please help me understand/entice me to play the DLC's!
For whatever reason, I never got the Pulverizer codex entry after obtaining the weapon. Is there something I can do to get the entry somehow? Perhaps I need to edit the files?
Also two small QoL questions, can I make it so pressing tab always opens to the map and pressing tab after getting a codex goes straight to that codex entry? Those two QoL aspects from Eternal (and the latter also being in 2016) seem oddly absent from TDA despite TDA being resplendent in QoL.
Please no lore or context from The Dark Ages! I recently (just finished TAG2) replayed the modern Doom games, really delving into all the lore I could. Here is my general assessment of the lore (timeline with details):
Edit: I'm an idiot and didn't actually finish TAG2 before making the post, I now understand that Davoth is the actual creator, so disregard my confusion about all that, although this revelation certainly makes other things confusing...
-The Father comes into existence. Or perhaps, comes from somewhere. The Father is not omnipotent.
-The Father creates Jekkad, and then Davoth, the most powerful god.
-The Father creates Urdak (I'm reading through TAG1 lore again rn, and this information seems to be conflicting? TAG1 says that The Father created Urdak first, then Jekkad, and that Davoth wasn't even the first god, just one of the strongest. and TAG2 says that Jekkad is the first realm?).
-As the perfect ideal realm, Jekkad thrives under Davoth. However, Davoth struggles with mortality, as he alone is granted immortality by the Father while his people are bound by their mortality. Davoth seeks out a method of immortality to "help" his people (in quotes because immortality really isn't a good thing).
-Davoth creates the Makyr race (as essentially very strong minds to help his cause of discovering the secret of mortality)... I was blindsided by this... I assumed the Father made Urdak *and* the Makyr race. Does the base game Urdak lore and TAG1 not say as much?
-The Father creates the Earthly realms (presumably the universe that we know, with Argent D'Nur, Earth, etc).
-Restless and irrational, Davoth becomes a danger to "creation". The Father forsees this and seals off Jekkad from the rest of the realms, as well as stripping Davoth of his physical form. The Father cannot bring himself to kill Davoth despite Samur's pleading, as he still loves Davoth in a sense (meaning the Father is as flawed as any other). Thinking of Samur, I'm further confused as to why the Makyrs and specifically the Seraphs are so tied to the Father, and why Samur was his right hand man, if they aren't even his creations? Davoth's soul is placed in Ingmore's sanctum, a fragment of Urdak (which is confusing since I don't understand which is supposed to have come first atp).
-The Father, at some point, seems to send the spear of the world into Argent D'nur, carrying countless Wraiths. I don't quite understand what Wraiths are, since they sort of seem like a mix between Makyrs and Demons, but are neither. They exude a power that was used to advance Argent into a resplendent society. Their power when mixed with hell/soul energy, creates Argent. Sort of a mixing of Heaven and Hell, I guess. But the architecture of the spear is unlike anything else, except perhaps the Gate of Divum. Makyr/Immora technology (and even the terrain in Urdak) is all very artificial, it looks 3D printed. Maybe this architecture is explicitly the Father's and specifically from wherever he came from? Maybe the Father is sort of the last remaining of an immensely powerful species, after some sort of super extinction.
-The Father creates the Gate of Divum on earth.
-The Father abandons his physical form, having Samur eventually take him to Ingmore's Sanctum alongside where Davoth's (now the Dark Lord) soul sphere resides, and many other lesser gods.
-Eons pass, and the history of the Sentinels takes off, with the worship of the Wraiths, and eventual discovery of the Makyrs.
-The Dark Lord, having influence across the realms even when sequestered in the soul sphere, plans to take revenge on the Father and the Makyrs, by creating the ultimate warrior, the beast. For it is he who will take down Urdak. He influences the Khan Makyr and Samur both, sorta pitting them against eachother as I understand it.
-The current Khan Makyr... Wait a minute, am I reading this right?? Davoth is the creator of the Father?? I don't understand...
-Samur was just under the influence of Davoth the whole time? TAG2 makes this all very confusing.
-ANYWAY, I don't really understand how the Slayer was "created" by Davoth, but as I understood it before I replayed Eternal, the events of Doom 1 and 2 play out. After killing the Icon of Sin in Doom 2, the Doom Marine is stuck in Hell. As just a mortal, he continues to fight his way through Hell before he is found by the Sentinels, who are already under the influence of the Makyrs, and... subsequently the Dark Lord. Funny that Doomguy has saved Earth twice now, in two different universes (if that is really what happened).
-The rest of the Argent D'Nur history plays out, with the betrayal of the Makyrs/priests, the war on Demons, the Civil War, and so on. With the Slayer being granted godlike power torwards the end of the wars, via the Divinity Machine. The Divinity Machine being created by the Khan Makyr (under the influence/guidance of Davoth), and used by Samur to power the Slayer (under the influence of Davoth).
-I assume this is when The Dark Ages takes place.
-The Slayer is tricked by the priests and demons, having a temple thrown on him, and he is placed into his sarcophagus. I would not be suprised if this is how The Dark Ages ends. Please do not confirm or deny, of course.
-Samur takes the consciousness of the Father from the Luminarium, I believe this is when his soul sphere is placed into Ingmore's sanctum. He places his own consciousness into a human and creates Vega from the Father's mind. He takes control of the UAC.
-Samuel transfers his mind into a cyborg body as his human body dies. As he is no longer a Makyr, he can traverse hell (it does kinda make sense that the Makyrs cannot go to Hell, if they're a servant race created by Davoth). Samuel searches for and retrieves the Doom Slayer.
-The events of Doom 2016 and Eternal play out.
-Samuel wants to retrieve his body, now that I think about it, I'm not really sure why. I don't think he really cares about Urdak, anyhow. But since the Slayer hates all gods seemingly, he betrays Samuel by preventing the Father from regaining his physical form. Samuel then suffers transfiguration, and loses his mind. The Father prevents his death, as he is not necessarily actively hostile. Just sorta... doomed to suffer I suppose.
-The Slayer revives the Dark Lord so he can kill him. The Slayer is... a direct creation of Davoth? Or, indirectly since he was conceptualized in order to take down Urdak? Regardless, he stumbles and is laid to rest ar Ingmore's Sanctum by some Seraphs. Idk how they'll continue the story after this, with hell being sealed off.
Some other questions:
My main thing as I've said in my timeline is the confusion surrounding who made what, what realms came first, and so on.
Is Immora based on Urdak or vice versa? Who tf are the Demonic Troopers? Is Immora a city with real people? They never became demons?
Samur can't enter hell as a Makyr, but can go to Ingmore's sanctum since it's a part of Urdak, I guess. If he just showed up at the end of the Blood Swamps level, why couldn't he have always teleported there and grabbed the life sphere himself?
If the Gate of Divum is the only way to get to Immora, how do all the Sentinels make it there? Maybe using the gate of Divum made it possible to travel there normally? Why is Immora not accessible by other means?
Why does the Dark Lord use wolves? Why is his armor more like Sentinel Armor than Makyr armor?
Thank you for reading, please correct me on any timeline errors, incorrect details, or important things I missed!
I'm 21M and atm my hair is long for a guy, it seems the terminal length is past my shoulderblades.
But I've been losing it. I started Mynoxidil in January so hopefully my hairline has stopped receding/hair has stopped thinning.
But, now I have another problem. It seems like no matter what I do, my hair keeps getting more frizzy and knotted/tangled.
This is my routine:
\-Hydrating shampoo on all of my hair
\-Ketoconazol shampoo on just scalp, alternating with head and shoulders 2in1 (on all hair) each day.
\-Wait for ends to dry a bit, then conditioner on the ends.
Previously I wasn't doing the Hydrating shampoo before the medicated shampoo, but my dermatologist recommended that step recently
I have a horse hair brush and it does better than most but even that still leaves my hair frazzled, and even after a shower, when previously it would be soft and silky. When I rinse out the conditioner, I can feel that my hair isn't smooth even in the shower.
Maybe it's like, in part due to oil builup on the brush and my pillow? Should that be something I should be concerned about?
Also a few other questions if anyone has knowledge on these:
I was hoping that treatment would restore what I've lost from my hairline and bring my hair back to it's normal thickness. One dermatologist said it might be possible since I'm young and have a lot of hair, and one dermatologist said it's impossible. Does Mynoxidil really just halt the progression of hair loss? I'll never restore my hair at this point?
My dermatologist recommended I not do Finasteride since I'm a young man, due to sexual reasons. But, I'm not sexually active anyway... could that be a good idea? Or maybe it's not worth it since it'd have to be a permanent medication like Mynoxidil?
Speaking of Mynoxidil, I hate that I'm growing hair where I wasn't. More chest hair is whatever, but I feel gross having hair grow high on my wrists and even now at the top/base of my fingers. I suppose it's something I'll just have to accept for the foreseeable future, right?
This is so far off topic now lmao, but I was suggested to get a wolf cut. According to Google, the wolf cut seems really inconsistent, I don't quite understand what it is. With my hairline having receeded a bit and my hair having thinned, does it seem like a good idea to get that cut?
