Anybody else's favorite arena deck hero power Druid?

I used to play it and have fun in standard when it was available. I love just hitting priest with 7 dmg every turn while he sits there with his 20 cards in hand half of them board removal and the other half copied from my deck.

New Browns fan from South Korea

Hi all! I moved to the U.S a year ago and quickly realized football is the best sport in the world and it isn't really close. Was looking for a team to support and the Browns seem to have the most similarities with my local baseball team:
- Orange colors
- Small market (forgive me if I'm wrong)
- Terrible winning record (I have been a supporter for 25 years, seen one playoff series win)
- Young, fascinating talent
- Passionate fanbase

The last one really hits hard, we have sucked for years and made the headlines once when we were down like 24-0 and our fans were singing with joy after scoring a couple runs. Best fans in the country. It was also cool that Myles Garrett was dating a Korean star, although obviously he's not on the team anymore.

Excited to follow my first season as a Browns fan, couple of quick questions:

  1. What are some of the things you are hoping to see in the upcoming year?

  2. Odd decision to go for a older HC in a rebuild, any possibility that Todd Monken is a pseudo tank commander until we draft the future QB next year?

  3. I don't fully understand everything around the Deshaun Watson situation, but if he is named the starter is it okay to support him and hope he does well?

  4. When is the best time of year to visit the stadium, and also appreciate any tips for first timers

Cheers!

(PLO) Snap call, sigh call, or fold?

In the BB, AA76 rainbow with about 700BBs. UTG opens, 3 callers and I flat (reasons being: multiway, OOP, no suits, deep stacked). Flop is AJ5 all spades, checks around. Turn is ten of diamonds, UTG bets 1/3 pot, folds to me and I call. River is the ten of spades, and I decide to lead (went full pot because I didn't think he'd have a flush, so either get called by a boat or nothing).

Villain now pots to 120BB, and I'm in the tank. Technically I have the third nuts but like I said I'm ruling out a flush cause no way you would check flop this deep stacked. Would he bet with turned bottom set when there's a flush and straight on board? I thought it was more likely he had JJ, and decided to raise to 300BB (I felt like any semi-competent PLO player would fold if I went full pot).

Villain now jams for 400BB more, and it's honestly kind of a gross spot. Sure I could have just called his 120 I guess.. but I explained above how I ruled out the possibilities of him having a better hand. If I raised full pot it would have been a much easier decision since I am basically pot committed. I tanked for a while, and I decided to call for two reasons, 1) I just flat called pre, which meant there was a chance he ruled out me having AA (although he would have to put me on AT or JT) 2) recently whenever I'm in a big spot my process was to take a deep breath, go through the hand and how it played out, and just stick to my gut without worrying about results. Although he would have to have exactly JJ and while it can seem insane to think someone might play the 4th nuts this way I went with my read.

Leaving the result in the comments, let me know how you'd have played this hand (assuming some folks just call his 3bet mainly cause you're not getting called often by worse?). Also curious if you think it's better to lead river or check-raise.

Oh and this was PLO400 on WPT Gold.

How long would it take to pass national boards with no background?

Hello all, I'm currently in my mid thirties and was just discharged from the military. After I finished high school I attended a chiropractic college for 2.5 years until my life was blown apart. TLDR I lost both of my parents to a car accident, and decided to enlist instead of finishing my education.

Almost 15 years later, I am married with a beautiful daughter and thinking about re-pursuing my dream of becoming a chiropractor. My school credits still remain and returning would be a smooth process. However, I would need to eventually need to pass boards and I have no idea how much it would take me to finish parts 1-4. While I did study on these subjects it has been over a decade and honestly I don't remember anything at all.

I'm also curious to hear how long it would take for me to become an "acceptable" adjustor. My plan is to start at a place like The Joint, where I can get huge volume in adjusting and catch up faster. However I would need to be at a point where I am competent enough for them to bring me in, what would you say is the best way for me to reach that level?

Appreciate any advice and hope to one day join the great community of DCs.

Looking to try live poker for the first time, appreciate any tips!

Played some MTTs in the past but most of my poker experience is online PLO on WPT Gold. Thinking about playing 2/5 (they have 1/2 games but I live in CA and heard the rake is pretty hard to beat) after watching some vloggers on Youtube and seeing how bad some of these players are. In PLO I try to play tight aggressive, and mainly to attack capped ranges in position. I'm assuming I can take a similar approach in holdem as well but would like some insight from more experienced players!

Also, for anyone living in the Bay Area would you recommend Matrix, Bay 101, Lucky Chances or Oaks?

Saw a guy lose 3700BB at PLO400

Shit was unreal. Was calling off any4 for like 2 hours and getting really lucky. Then became a station paying off some huge pots with middle set on brodway, 9 high flushes etc and also started actually losing to Aces pre. Stack goes down to 1200BB and guess something snapped, 6bet T864ds and villan flops quad Aces. Wild stuff.

Meanwhile I'm on said table losing with top set against naked flush draws, shoving pair + wrap + flush draw and can't beat one pair. Could have made a couple grand if I just picked the right seat lollll

[KBO] Day 1 of posting picks every evening (well, except Sundays)

The good thing about betting on the KBO (Korean Baseball Organization) is

  1. You can make your bets at night, go to bed and wake up to the results

  2. Because it's a relatively small betting market, I don't think the lines are very sharp. I follow the Hanwha Eagles and think there's an edge to be had here

Anyways, here's my picks for today!

Just saw the most bizarre hand at 1/2

Guy in UTG opens, Button 3! for like $70. UTG calls and flop is AT8 rainbow. UTG checks, button bets $120, UTG tanks and jams for like 600 total. Button was clearly bluffing as he thinks about what to do, eventually says "whatever I'm pot committed" (bro wtf you're not) and calls. Runout is K and Q (AKQT8) UTG looks defeated and says you're good. Button flips over 77. UTG was about to muck, sees the hand and reveals 98 suited. Button storms out, UTG starts talking about how he felt like he had a read and that the opponent didn't like the Ace on the flop.

Guess you should never be suprised playing low stakes, literally anything can happen LOL

Does anybody know why Lee is batting 5th?

Hi all, I'm a fan from South Korea. I don't want to make it about one player but I do want the Giants to win as much as anyone else here. To me it seems like Lee should be higher up in the batting order. He's not a big OBP or SLG guy but has good baserunning speed and has been getting 2 hits a game for what feels like a month, making a good candidate for #2 or #3? And then the home run hitters can come in 4-5.

Edit) Also, is there a good chance of him making All-Stars this year? Not familiar with the MLB system. Thanks!

What is your worst bad beat story?

Once I was playing at a home game about 2.5k effective. Every dealer change we would do a double board bomb, pot limit, with two hole cards. One hand, I'm on the button with 98 and the boards come 998 and 765. As if it couldn't get any better there is a pot and a re-pot and I shove all-in. Both players call, one has A9 and the other has 76. First turn is an Ace, second turn is a 7 and I am drawing dead on both. Haven't played at a home game since lol

I used to tell people that poker wasn't gambling, then I transitioned to PLO

... and I don't know if I can truthfully say that anymore.

You put in money at blackjack table knowing you will get 1:1 with about 49% chance.

You put in money at PLO knowing you will get about 2~3 to 1 with your flush draws, wraps, sets..

And then there's the degens that push any 4, plus the people who min buy for 25 or 50BBs and shove if there's enough people pre. I mean at that point, going to spin roulette probably gives better odds / equity than your J752.

Yes, there's some actual skill involved in PLO unlike gambling but the distinction is definitely way less than holdem.

New fan from Korea & BK Kim?

Hi all! I'm from South Korea and recently moved to Arizona for college. I love professional sports and excited to follow the Diamondbacks, especially since one of our greatest pitchers ever played for this team! He's pretty old but I wonder if you guys remember Byung Hyun Kim?

According to our national news it seems like the team signed a Korean SS out of high school, dude is a legit prospect that would have went #2 in the draft, two way player but a better infielder / hitter than pitcher imo. Hope to see him in the Majors in 4 years! Being in the division with the Dodgers kinda sucks but definitely better outlook than the football team here who are apparently expected to finish last.
