Playing between China and France

Hello, I'm in Beijing for 4 weeks, and I was hoping to be able to play AoS with friends home in France with TTS. Except when we tried yesterday, my ping was between 400 and 500. Any piece I tried to move had a severe delay, and it made the game unplayable. Is there any way to fix it ? Would it make a difference if I had a faster connection ? a VPN ? No VPN ? Or is it just distance between servers ?

RDR2 in the time of AIgen is perfect to understand the nexus we're in.

Very late to the party, playing for the first time. Have been roaming around for so many hours and I'm about to finish chapter 2.
This fucking game is incredible. And what I love is the detail and care that has been put into things. The decorations in the house, the cards, the way birds and animals move, the way your character move around, the light effects, the dampness you can feel where you traipse in the bayou, the clean openness of riding your canoe on Flat Iron Lake, the sharp cold air of the northern Grizzlies...
This game is incredible because people have spent so much time and energy. It actually moves me when I play, to think that all these beautiful vistas that I'm scampering around are the efforts of someone who cared to make it perfect.
This is why this game is a work of art, and why AIgen assets in games suck. When I play this game, I'm receiving a gift of love and work, made by other humans. They're sharing their vision with me, their talent, the perfection of their craft.
It's not just "pretty pictures". It's pretty pictures that humans have painfully designed and are now offering me.
So thank you Rockstar, love this game, fuck AIgen.

Army rule in 11th

Finished reading the core rules, and I'm feeling pretty happy about the army rule
Until now, we had interaction with objective markers, and the truth is that nobody wanted to hang out in the open to hold objectives : neither us nor our opponents.
Now that objectives are terrain areas, it's excellent for us. We get bonuses to dislodge units hiding in ruins and behind covers. And when we shift to fortify, we can actually do it in a fortified way instead of having a picnic in the middle of the field.
Haven't tried it yet, it might just be me being hopeful, but I have a very good feeling about it.

Hello, going to a gt soon with a slann recursion list :

1 slann, 1 skink oracle on troglodon, 1 sunblood pack, 3 and 3 kroxis, 6 aggra, 20 and 10 saurus, 5 raptadons.
I play morbid and the lore of jungles.
So far, I've had good success with the sunclaw starhost. The pile in + BM is consistent and gives asset.
But after the last tournament, I wonder if the access to celestial translocation wouldn't have been clutch in many games. But it's on a 3+ and the end of turn biting is quite good.
Does anybody have good experience with celestial translocation ? Does it work ? Do you think it would work with this list ?

I really don't understand the point of the spell. Why would I waste a spell slot to improve nearby casters ? When I can just cast though them ? Unless you're running two slanns or a slann and a kroak which sounds really overkill, which case use does it have ? Slann and starseer for the skink's personal level, but that seem a super rare case.
