Why is my parakeet hanging on the side of the cage?

Why is my parakeet hanging on the side of the cage?

my poor baby got attacked by a cat 36 hours ago and after going to the vet i moved him to a smaller cage to heal, but he’s been hanging on the wall of the cage(since 18 hours ago) every time I check up on him he’s there. he comes down for food. Is this because I have the perches too low or should I just leave him alone because it’s normal?

Boy or girl?

I've had these little cuties for 2.5 months: the blue one (Orbit) and the white one (Cscle). I’m wondering what their sex is. the one with the finger is recent, and the other one is from 2.5 months ago (I've also changed the cage since then to a fitting one, so please don't worry). Thanks in advance. I appreciate all the help!

What can I do to help, and is my opinion even right at this point?

I apologize for my ranting in advance.

I’m not sure where to start, but I’ll just give a summary of what's been going on. My parents have been arguing for a while about my dad refusing to get a job, and he is threatening to leave.

It all started when my mom and dad created a company from where they were from. After making more than enough to be well off from where they were from, my mother wanted to continue her education, as she and my dad had dropped out/were working on the business instead of being in class. She decided to go to the US for this, and my dad stayed behind to “work” on the business. My mother went to the US, and in the mornings she took many classes, and at night (day for my dad) she would FaceTime my dad to check in on the business, or she would work on it digitally. My dad was supposedly working on the business. He came to visit a few times, and then I was born. About 2 years after my mom went to study in the US, the company started failing, and we were losing money. When my mom was able to go back, she had to shut it down. They were not left in debt and still had an amount that would be considered wealthy. And she decided to raise me in the US, as it had a better environment compared to where she came from. My dad came along with her. When we found a house, my mom did stocks (while not necessarily a “real” job, it made enough money equivalent to the average person's here). My dad refused to get a job because we had more than enough to live a lavish life with the money they made from the business; similarly, he decided to not put much effort into learning English, as he would always tell me that he was never good at languages. Around covid, my mom's stocks crashed, and she had lost all the money she had made in the previous years with an additional 100k in debt. But she was able to build back up in a few years' time and make more than she did before (around the 75th percentile). My dad still did not have a job; he instead spent his days reading manga, messaging his friends back from where we came from, sleeping in, etc. He did do some chores like loading the dishwasher, his own laundry, vacuuming, and cooking sometimes, but he had to be reminded. My mother continued her stocks; she did the remaining laundry, cooked, and cleaned our house. My dad would take me to school as my mom’s stocks (due to different time zones) ended very late at night. As this is more recent, I have more vivid memories. Soon my mom's stocks were not making enough anymore, and she started doing US stocks; this started at 6 in the morning along with the other stocks. She also fell ill, and she had to get parts of her organs removed on 2 separate occasions. My dad did not cook her nutritious meals nor tend to her. She brought her own kitchen supplies up and had to cook for herself after only a day or 2. My dad did not do many chores, as my mom did not have the strength to remind him, and she had to do them herself after a bit more than a week since when she reminded him he would say "later," a time that never came, and when it did, it would be many days or hours later to the point where the chores would stack up and he would say she was giving him too much work. Even after she made a full recovery, the chores she gave him (much less than when she was ill) still stacked up.  I feel I have talked too much about how my mom is the poor soul. When I was a kid, she would force me to study. I remember once I didn't study, and I was locked outside at night (although it was only 10 minutes, it was very long for kid me). Her studying fanaticism has only gotten worse over the years, from not allowing me to play with my friends to now, in high school, having none. During this time my parents would argue about everything from him not having a job to him not doing chores to every little thing he did wrong. They would also argue about my education, saying she was giving me too much and that I could do it. During this time she would constantly compare me to my younger sibling and point out every way I was inferior or how soon they would catch up to me and become better. During middle school (during elementary school it wasn't as bad, but the thoughts were still there), I suffered from severe depression and wanted to kill myself all the time; I had even planned it out. I used to cry myself to sleep wishing for someone to kill me or that I could give my remaining lifespan to someone who deserved it. I could not stick up for myself, and if she told me I was useless or a waste of space, I would just agree. My father tried to be gentler, but when he got mad, he would take what made him mad or anything nearby and lottery throw it out of our backyard door into the woods. Luckily, as you can see, I was able to get on medication, but I remember that before I decided, my mom had forced me to study and told me how I was having too much fun. I remember hiding in a room, and she chased after me, banging on the door and trying to open it. I had to use my full eight to stop it from opening. I begged her to let me just have 1 day to decompress, as I couldn't even think straight any more. I remember crying and trying to stifle it, but she kept hitting the door. At this time my dad asked her to give me some time, and she yelled at him, telling him that I was just crying for attention and that I was lazy. Soon after this I secretly messaged my health care provider for medication, but my dad and mom said that I didn't need it and the only thing that was wrong was that I thought there was something wrong when there was nothing. But nevertheless, I was able to get my medications, and I have been doing much better ever since. While she still forced me to study, it is not that bad. Sorry, now back to the main point: They have been arguing over my dad not having a job for a while and how he keeps buying and spending her money. Today they started arguing over him not having a job again, and she told us that we were running out of money. He yelled, saying that it was her fault we moved to the expensive US and that we were running out of money because of her and that he did not need a job. He threatened to move back to where he came from and stomped off.

So yes, this pretty much summarizes my wonderful family. Now I’m not sure what to think. Should I be on my mom’s side (I’m leaning this way), my dad’s side, or neutral? I believe that divorce is good, but I do not want my dad to take my mom’s assets. Should he move back to where he came from or just get a job? Can we legally kick him out or sue? I've thought about killing him and my whole family just to stop their bickering, haha. (I might need to be locked up in some mental hospital). Or is this whole situation just in my head, and am I overthinking it? What can I do? Please help.
