May recap✨️

Just wanted to share some of the things I baked during the month of May. 😊

A few months ago, I never imagined I'd be posting this. Like many expats, I recently faced an unexpected setback and lost my job. It was discouraging, and honestly, there were days when I didn't know what my next step would be.

But sometimes, when one door closes, another one quietly opens.

What started as a hobby and a way to cope with stress has slowly become something more. Every cake, pastry, and dessert I made this month reminded me that it's never too late to learn a new skill, start over, or discover a different path✨️

I'm still figuring things out one bake at a time, but I'm grateful for the support, encouragement, and opportunities that have come my way.

To anyone going through a difficult season right now—whether you've lost a job, are struggling to find one, or simply feel stuck and drained — hold on. Your current situation doesn't define your future. Keep showing up, keep learning, and keep moving forward. You never know where your next opportunity will come from❤️

Here's my May baking recap🍰✨

A little May recap from my kitchen. 😊

Hi everyone!

May was a month of unexpected changes. While one chapter closed when I lost my job, another sweet door slowly started to open.

Baking has become a source of comfort, creativity, and hope, and every cake, pastry, and dessert you see here represents a step forward in this new journey ❤️

As we welcome June, I'm grateful for everyone who supported, encouraged, and trusted me with their orders. Thank you for being part of this chapter.

Here are some of my favorite bakes from May ✨

And while I'm still a little too shy to say "order now," my inbox is always open if something catches your eye😂🍰

Advice? Anyone from DSO or nearby?

Hello everyone!

I recently lost my job, and while searching for a new opportunity, I’ve been spending my time baking pastries such as fruit tarts, Basque burnt cheesecake, éclairs, cookies, and brownies.

I'm exploring whether this could turn into a small source of income or even grow into a business. I’ve received really positive feedback from friends and family, but I still feel a bit anxious and overwhelmed with all the “what ifs.” Still, I remind myself that I’ll never know unless I give it a real try🌻

I would really appreciate any advice or insights from those who have experience starting small or home-based food businesses.

Note: If anyone here is based in Silicon Oasis and would be interested in trying some of my pastries in exchange of honest feedback feel free to drop a ping!

Thank you in advance ✨️
