E85 fuel launched in Delhi at Rs 82.12/litre, first pump opens at Pusa Road

> The rollout follows the government's recent notification of fuel standards for higher ethanol blends including E22, E25, E27 and E30, paving the way for wider adoption of alternative fuels in the country.

Why isn’t there much uproar about the ethanol blending. They have already introduced E20 and several old cars and non-e20 compliant ones are facing milage drop, heating issues, etc. Some cases show rusting and corrosion of the engine parts and increased wear and tear. While most cars post 2018 are e20 compliant, move to make the blend to e30 can affect the cars post 2018.

E85 is only applicable for cars built for the blend, but the e20-e30 blending is a concern!

There are also allegations that Gadkari family associated companies have financially benefited from the increased ethanol blending.
