I know some oneshots, and like 3 chapter long fics exist with this concept, which show that if Dumbledore lives up to the hype indy!Harry is screwed.

And in pretty much all the others, by the end of the given year, Harry beats him, and in the during the fic, he complains about things not going to plan, tries something new to control Harry, Harry easily deals with it.

So what I want is a fic which is "long" (let's say 10k word minimum) where Harry is barely keeps up, has to decide which of his goals to sacrifice so the other ones, get's just a chance, but in the very end he still "wins".

Although titling it “Fantastic Horcurexes and Where To Find Them” was maybe a bit too much.

There was no other choice. If Harry spent the journey with HIM, the way things turned out in the future would be awful.

Like the vast majority of ARGs focus on vanilla. I got it. That is the how most people play. (And I say it again I also don't mean the arg remake mods like "from the fog", I mean the the regular usually put in a sandbox modpack, type ones).

But where is the guy going farther into thaumcrafts eldritch knowledge?

The person who dig up something he never meant to with his quarries?

Some one, who's extra utilities, Deep Dark, hold something thats just Wrong?

Or the lucky person whos mekasuit protects them from the monsters?

I repeat, I get it why most of them vanilla. Still I'm interested if some of what I want already exist, or if other people have the same taste, as me, which would inspire creators to make the vids.

Edit: Just to make sure I'm clear what I'm asking about, I have seen the "mod that have an AI that plays with me" and the "I download a mod that allows me to enter other peoples singleplayer worlds and grief them", and the likes, and i am not asking for those. I'm asking for ones based on real already existing (Preferably before the ARG vid popularity surge) mods.

He was known by a fair number of names. Freak and Boy were the most common in the Dursley household, while at school he was Harry Potter when the teacher was going down the student list at the start of the class, and Potter otherwise.

Then he was Harry Potter The-Boy-Who-Lived, a very big jump, but one he felt like he could hopefully manage.

Then his sorting happened, and then he was Overlord Hadrian James Potter- Peverell-Riddle-Gryffindor-Hufflepuff-Ravenclaw-Slytherin-Merlin-Zargothrax-Pendragon-Settra. With a lot of titles, he couldn’t memorize. It was too much.

And that was just the start of his first year.

But now he was back at the Dursleys. The way they acted, was just like before he left. It hurt him to think this, but it was familiar, it was normal. Much more normal than how he was treated in Hogwarts compared to the other students.

First, he was just thanked Harry for what he did, but upon realizing that the boy doesn’t know what he was talking about, he decided to educate the young hero about the wizarding world, and his role in it.

It also shows the name of the research needed to unlock that research in the top left corner. I had it in one pack I'm playing, but most packs I see, simply refuse to show the crafting recipe until the research is completed.

Both serious and crack are fine. Would prefer canon close instead of Hadrian Potter-Gaunt.
