[F4A] One Night in 1940 [Horror] [Listener dies] (My First Script)

Script here!

To make a long story short, it is October, 1940. you're a Londoner who's still not used to the Blitz, which started about a month ago. But on the night of October 30, you witnessed a vampire feeding off of a victim in a darkened alleyway. The next night, she comes for you. And this time you won't live to see the end of the war— or the sun rise again.

This is my first script after all, so yes, I've still got a lot to learn. Constructive criticism would be appreciated.

Feel free to narrate this thing if you'd like, just credit me when you do.

[Steady heartbeat, with a bit of anxiety]

*pendulum clock ticking*

*knocking at door*

Knock knock.

[Heartbeat begins to speed up]

Who’s there?

[...]

Don’t act like you don’t know me. You know damn well. You thought you could run away after what you saw, didn’t you?

You probably thought I wouldn’t find you.

[...]

I know you’re in there.

I can smell your fear, little lamb. I can hear your heart pounding in your chest. *slight gasp* Why, it almost sounds like it’s going to break out of your chest(!)

*doorknob rattling*

(mockingly) Do you really think I’m going to waste my time opening this door? Maybe you think I’ll just leave and it’ll all be over with. Or maybe…

*door breaks*

[Panicked heartbeat]

I might just barge in! How about that?

Now where are you?

I know you’re in here, but I can’t see you.

[...]

Damn. Maybe you outsmarted me.

*Listener jumps from closet*

*STAB*

[...]

*she laughs* (a bit pained) Did you just… stab me? Y-you actually did that?? W-wow. That was smart. I’ll give you that. But you made one mistake, human. It wasn’t silver.

*she yanks the knife out of her body* You just had to do that, didn’t you? No need to worry, the last man tried the exact same thing… and that got him nowhere.

Why don’t you have this knife back?

*STAB*

[Panicked heartbeat, stuttering]

*she laughs* That’s what I love to hear.

*listener collapses*

*she moves to pin you down*

Ah, this is more like it. Now I’ve got you right where I want you, little lamb. Try. Try to get me off.

[...]

(mockingly) But you can’t now, can you? I’ve got you pinned.

Now hold still. This will be over soon.

*bite*

[Heartbeat begins to stutter]

*a few gulps*

Ah, you’re still trying to push me off aren’t you? Go on then, keep trying. That just makes your blood all the sweeter. *she laughs*

*bite again*

*a few more gulps*

[Heartbeat now irregular, starts fading]

I can hear it. Your heart’s stuttering. You’re running out of blood. *she giggles* I’m not done yet.

[...]
No, don’t go out yet. Beg for me. One more time.

*bite yet again*

*a few gulps later*

[Heartbeat now very faint]

Mmmmh. This is just… too good. I can’t get enough. It’s almost intoxicating. Look at you, you can barely whimper now. Your heart’s a whisper.

Ah, did you already pass out from exhaustion?

[...]

You know what? Maybe I won’t finish you off. Maybe I’ll keep you. That way, I’d have a warm, supple human ready for my next meal. I wouldn’t have to go out and hunt again!

[...]

Oh, to hell with that. That sounds a (mockingly) tad bit cruel. Keeping someone alive just to feed off them again. Maybe I should finish you off. If I didn’t, they’d probably-

*air raid siren fades in*

Uh oh. I think I really should. Sounds like they’re on their way.

[...]

Well then. Goodnight, my little lamb.

*one last bite*

*a few more gulps*

[Heartbeat has stopped completely]

Mmmmh, that was delicious. (pause) Okay, are they dead now?

*she checks you over*

Seems like it. (agitated) Ah, hell. They're coming.

*she rummages around trying to leave*

FADE OUT

A short guide to combat units

LIGHT TANK: It’s rather self-explanatory. Light tanks are fast, but somewhat weak compared to mechs. Good for punching through enemy lines.

MEDIUM MECH: The de facto mascot of Iron Order 1919. Basically a stronger but slower light tank. Medium mechs are good at taking out infantry and tanks.

HUNTER MECH: Good for taking out other mechs, like a faster but non-ranged AMG. At later stages of research it can operate under stealth.

HEAVY MECH: Essentially a walking bunker. It soaks up a lot of damage, and also redirects incoming hits towards itself to protect more vulnerable units (like infantry).

TITAN: Every commander's dream. A walking aircraft carrier that spells doom for all who stand in its way. It can storm enemy units, or in other words it ignores defense bonuses. Titans can deploy infantry to occupy the provinces it has utterly leveled.

The idea I had in mind was to design a stand that would be unreliable in combat.

Fight or Flight's behavior varies depending on what state it is in. In the "fight" state, it aggressively attacks the opponent. In the "flight" state, it tries to dodge the opponent's attacks, but doesn't attack; it might even flee entirely. Whether it is in "fight" or "flight" depends on a timer.
