Going to anime frontier for all three days this December, we wanted to checkout the official afterparties but due to a miscommunication we failed to buy tickets and now they’re sold out, so I wanted to ask if anyone with any experience at this con has ideas of if there are commonly fan put together parties taking place after the con closes for the night? I am not 100% sure I’d be going but I’m still curious if the option is there.

Edit: I was completely wrong, seems the website still links to 2025 tickets, I think they’ll go on sale in the fall! We good!

I’ve been using a mix of nameless sword and mortal rope dart since this game came out, then a while back they added “path trials” I think they are called which showed me that I am not at all doing what the game intended me to do.

But is that really mandatory? I kinda like my moveset as it is, but am willing to change it if I’m really handicapping myself, I just wanted a community opinion on how this all handles. Being able to summon rodents and then have them do some extra damage through a nameless sword combo feels awesome, but if that is literally gimping my ability to do tougher content then I would wanna change now so I have time to get used to it.

What are the community thoughts on this?

Edit: thanks for all the responses, as much as I hate being shoehorned into specific builds in a “world of choice” I’ll still make sure to head towards a specific path. Guess I wasted a lot of resources getting mortal rope dart to such a high level lol, but regardless, I’ll figure out what path works for me next time I play. I appreciate the input here everyone!

So about two months ago maid mint was in a stream with Henya, Limealicious, and Pia, playing Schedul I but I noticed that I can only find that stream on the other three V-tubers channels, not on mints! Did that get removed or something? Or was she just there for their streams and didn’t stream it herself?

Just curious, I’m watching Henya’s vod right now so it’s not imperative to find her stream, I just thought it was weird I couldn’t watch it from Mint’s perspective

I have been a huge fan of ss13 for about 4 years but have found I’m taking longer and longer breaks recently. Partially because less time to play, but also I just seem to have this issue where I absolutely freeze in the face of learning a new job. Any time I think about hindering someone else’s time playing by being the new guy and fucking stuff up, I just go back to the jobs I know and I think that’s another roadblock for me because I want to do more

I’m really good at cargo tech (but who isn’t) and a pretty damn good bartender. I’m also a decent janitor and I can sorta be a clown but that’s mostly just fuck around and try not to get arrested. I also did a few rounds as sec assistant and that was pretty fun! But the rest of the available jobs seem so complicated that I can’t even begin to imagine where to start.

I tried botanist once, and the person there kept getting angry with me instead of explaining what I am meant to do, until near the end and then they gave me a couple tidbits but nowhere near enough to understand the job. Engineering seems fun but it looks like literal rocket science. Hell, even chemistry or research seems fun but I feel like I need a real masters degree to understand it from the outside!

I just wish there was some low-no stakes environment new and returning players could go in and try out the various systems to learn the basics, then add in what’s different about every server to their knowledge after getting the general idea down. I know technically that’s what the assistant job is for, but it feels like it’s more for getting beat up and blowing shit up in the maintenance tunnels.

Anyway, just a little stream of consciousness post, I know there isn’t really an option for something like this in a game like this! I just wanted to share my thoughts I guess, feel free to add onto or suggest anything though!

Going all three days this year and I'm curious about the after party! I was listening to a few of the DJ's for Friday night and they didn't wow me but they also don't have a bad vibe to their music, specifically CAPTURELIGHT sounded pretty good, but an after party of an anime convention seems like it would be weird. Maybe I'm looking at it wrong, but it's gonna be a bunch of socially awkward people crammed into a night club right? Then again, maybe that's what will be fun, I'll be in cosplay after all and I'm sure so will others haha!

Is it worth it to go to? Has anyone gone and is able to give a decent rundown of what their experience was like?

Google, the vocaloid website, and searching this subreddit have all come up with confusing answers (or I could just be dumb)

But, do I need to pay 80$ for miku v6, then 250$ for vocaloid6? Is that the only way? There’s no subscription service or alternate free software I can use to mess around with this specific miku bank?

I saw someone in a comment on here saying that there are free alternatives people have used vocaloid voices on, but that comment was 5 years ago so I’m not sure if the newest Miku voice works anywhere other than on V6
