“The industry has told me to f**k myself at every single turn”: Yungblud pushes back on the idea that he’s an “industry plant”

What’s up with Yungblud ?

There’s been a ton of coverage of this guy but none of his music seems to be popular. He’s been touted as the next ozzy but I pulled up a recent pro shot festival live set of his and it sounded almost like mega church Christian music without the religious lyrics. Am I missing something ?

ETA: after reading this thread it’s become clear that he’s a machine gun Kelly but for 40+ straight women. That is to say, an artist whose visual aesthetic and sex appeal does all the heavily lifting and the music is low effort slop.

Turnstile charging $150 for general admission now, super disappointing

This screenshot is for the show in Toronto in the fall.

Turnstile charging twice as much as Geese in TO ....WTF

For as much shit as that band Geese have gotten, they're one of the most sought after live acts right now and they're charging half the price ($75 CAD) in the actual proper live nation owned venue across the street from the park that Turnstile is playing across the street. This isnt a ticketmaster decision, this pricing is on the band.

Disappointed in the artwork and its disrespect to Opie

Having 'futurist' designer Taz just plop the original sun into an AI prompt is disrespectful to Opies work. I dont blame opie for taking full credit for the new cover when people ask. Taz has totally lost the plot with this era of his work. Taz has also pulled all mention of the UTSE artwork from his website and instagram, so he must be feeling some heat for this.

Anyone else feel like Jakes time with Sublime is coming to an end?

After last nights show and the whole one and done thing with the record, I think maybe hes tired of this or for whatever reason his heart just isnt anymore. Anyone else getting the impression hes pretty much ready to move on?
