Gender Pay Gap reporting. Need advice on disclosure.

Hi everyone. I've just read something very worrying about workplace gender pay gap reporting. Apparently, employers will now have to report gender pay gaps on the basis of the dreaded "biological sex" which I assumes means sex assumed at birth.

As a transgender woman, I absolutely refuse to misgender myself as "male" in any context, and would consider it humiliating if my salary, as a record of my professional achievement, was counted as a "male" salary for pay gap reporting. I am a woman.

Question is, what are my rights if my employer tries to reclassify me on their system? They will have a record of me changing gender a few years ago and I'm visibly transgender.

Could they simply change my details without my consent or input? If so would that be a GDPR issue?

If they formally approach me to ask my sex assumed at birth, can I be sacked if I refuse to "disclose" this?

If I simply confirm my status as a transgender woman, what would happen?

If necessary, I'd prefer to be excluded from the report as "sex unknown" rather than be classified as "male". Is that likely to be an option?

Abolition of ILR - What about retired people?

Hello! I'm not sure if this has been answered elsewhere, but I've got a question about Reform UK's plan to abolish Indefinite Leave to Remain and replace it with a 5 year renewable visa.

What would happen to a retired person who has been living here for, say, 30 years on ILR? Assume they've always paid their taxes, never claimed benefits and never been convicted of any crimes. They've got a comfortable private income, but not the £60k suggested as a threshold for the new 5 year visa.

Is this person at risk of deportation under this plan? If so, are we really comfortable as a society treating people like this? If not, what protections will be put in place for those in this situation?
