How come people only ever make Monsterverse AUs, and not the other eras?

Feels like every time I see someone post about their AU or fan-made rewrite, it's of the Monsterverse. Meanwhile, I hardly ever see anyone make rewrites or different takes on the other continuities that take place over the span of several movies, like most of the Showa era or the Heisei era. It's almost always the Monsterverse. Why is that? Is it because it's more popular? Or do so many people dislike its vision that they make new ones in their image?

The current top review of On Becoming a Guinea Fowl is a major untagged spoiler

First off, great movie. Go watch it.

Second, just wanted to give a warning for anyone with any interest in watching the movie: the current top review is a pretty major spoiler for the movie that makes you aware of a really big part of the movie's progression.

The review in question says: >!Fuck uncle Fred, All my homies hate uncle Fred. !<Fairly innocuous one-liner meme-reference at first, except those who have seen it know that a major part of the movie is a gradual buildup to the viewer realizing through the other characters that >!Uncle Fred was a terrible person, an abuser, and a rapist.!< When you know that you're not supposed to like >!Uncle Fred!< or at the very least, be wary of why people might not like him, a major element that makes the movie so great is gone. Going from the beginning, where Shula is >!completely apathetic to finding his dead body!< to the gradual reveal of why was a huge part of why I enjoyed the movie. It was a great showcase of tension and release.

So color me surprised when the top review kind of spoils a massive element of what made the movie so interesting, without using the appropriate spoiler tag feature on Letterboxd that requires an additional click to view.

Just wanted to give a heads up in case anyone reads the Letterboxd reviews before watching a movie. I would hate for anyone's experience to be dampened, because this movie is truly great.

And just to make it known, I am NOT trying to nor is it my intention to send anyone to attack the poster of the review in any way. I'm certain they had the best intentions in mind and weren't trying to intentionally detract from anyone's experience.

What do you think about untagged spoilers being the top reviews of movies?

What would you have rather seen instead of Uprising?

So the so called "sequel" is pretty universally agreed upon to be a disaster, but what would you rather have instead?

Prequel about the early days of the Jaegar program?

Another sequel, just done in a different way?

Maybe a live-action invasion of the breach?

A crossover with Legendary's Godzilla?

Lots of options, feel free to share your wishes for what could have been

How’d you become a confident rave baddie?!

How’d you become a rave baddie?

I’m newer to the rave scene and honestly trying to get more comfortable being expressive at shows. I see girls that are super confident, colorful, sexy, and fully in the moment and I’m realizing I kinda want to tap into that side of myself too.

I want to feel more confident dancing, dressing up, doing makeup and hair, and just feeling more free and comfortable in myself at shows. It’s not even about trying to be someone else, I genuinely want to experience and empower my body and energy more through self expression and just having fun.

I also wanna feel sexy and dance sexy with my partner too, but in a way that still feels natural and confident to me. Like what even gives off that confident rave girl energy at shows? Is it mostly just confidence and freedom with your body, dancing more sensual, twerking a little, moving to the music, or are there certain dance styles or vibes girls lean into?

Also where are y’all getting your fits from and how do you even make rave friends? I feel like everyone already has their groups. I’d love more girl friends or couple friends in the scene eventually, but without weird drama or energy lol.

Did this stuff come naturally to you guys or did you kinda grow into it over time?

Any tips for confidence, dancing, outfits, makeup, hair, or just embracing the vibe more?

Every time I log onto this sub I am bombarded by images of fish corpses.

Or fish stuffed to the gills (sometimes literally!) with parasites and infections. Yes, your fish that has so many white spots on it its hard to tell which species it is, is probably sick with ich.

Or fish in clear agony with eyes popping out of their sockets, disfigured spines, or torn apart fins.

Or ID requests for nasty-looking worms and leeches being found invading someone's tank.

Of course I understand that these are the harsh realities that all fishkeepers need to deal with, and sometimes it is important to ask other keepers for advice on what to do to treat an outbreak, but when it's a significant portion of the content posted to this sub, it gets to be a bit much for a casual experience when I'm just trying to admire some aquascapes.

Half of the grotesque, bloated dying fish pictures aren't even spoiler tagged like they need to be according to the rules.

Are there any, I don't know, more positive subs in this vein where this kind of content is limited or restricted to a megathread or something?
