Faith and Hope

I want to give you all a friendly but important reminder that believing in God is not the same thing as having faith in God.

My intention isn’t to cause you any fear or alarm but to encourage you to examine your own hearts and ensure you’re truly walking in faith.

I have a few verses I think might be beneficial for you:

“For we are saved by hope; but hope that is seen is not hope, for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for it?”
Romans 8:24

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. 2 This is what the ancients were commended for
Hebrews 11:1-2

I think at one point we all ask the question: why doesn’t God just reveal himself to everyone? The first verse answers this beautifully.

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for. If we have nothing to hope for, where is our confidence in that which we hope? Nonexistent. Without hope, there is no faith.

The importance of faith is tremendous.

“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”
Hebrews 11:6

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:”
Ephesians 2:8

Your salvation and your favor are dependent on your faith and they are given freely to you by grace. Believing in God is great. And if you do, that’s wonderful. But as Apostle James wrote, even the demons believe.

Brothers and sisters, please examine yourselves closely. Are you walking in faith?

Have confidence in the Lord your God and rejoice gladly in the salvation he’s going to bring to all who are waiting for him.

Children of Wrath

Here’s a controversial statement:

You are of the devil.

These five words alone are enough to trigger several emotions. Fear, anger, pride, grief, anguish. It’s funny to think that these five simple words hold so much power. Let me show you words that hold a greater power.

“The one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work.”
1 John 3:8

These words created terror in me. I didn’t understand them. It just felt like condemnation. But these words are full of truth and life.

We’ve all done what is sinful. If anyone says they haven’t, they’re a liar. So, if we’ve all done what is sinful, then at some point we’ve all been of the devil.

But this verse suggests that the Son of God has come to destroy the work of the devil. So then, how do you suppose he does this?

Let me give you some more words to consider.

“The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life”
John 6:63

The word of God is spirit.

“Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.”
John 3:6

And spirit is what gives birth to spirit.

“that He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the Word”
Ephesians 5:26

The word of God is the water that washes you.

“Jesus answered, “Verily, verily I say unto thee, unless a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God.”
John 3:5

The word of God, which is the son of God, and is also Spirt gives birth to the spirit of God which lives In you.

The spirit of God puts to death the deeds of the flesh, because now you do what you do not want to do. So if you do what you do not want to do it’s no longer you that does it but the sin that dwells in you that does it.

You were once evil and of the evil one, but by the word of God, by the son of God you have been sanctified. You’ve been clean. You’ve been born of new life. Rejoice and be glad! Praise the Lord!

I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. 16 And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. 17 As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. 18 For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature.[a] For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. 19 For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. 20 Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.

God is for us

When a person is drowning, they instinctively fight against anyone who tries to save them. Not because they don’t want to be saved, but because of panic and fear.

When I was a child, I almost drowned. The pool water was deeper than I had anticipated. I couldn’t swim and I was so afraid, before my head went completely under, I locked eyes with my father. Pure fear flooded his features. He jumped in after me and pulled me out.

Walking with Christ is similar to this.

The children of God are in a vast ocean, chaotic waves on either side. Our Father, is in the ocean with us fighting against the waves. Because of our fear and panic, we fight against him not realizing he’s saving us.

I wrote this to encourage you. The water is deep, the waves are crashing against you, but our Father is there, he will not let you go. He will save you. Stay strong and trust our Father. He loves us.

Islamic Faith

Islam Faith

This post is intended for those of the Islamic faith. The words said are not said with malice or evil intention, but with the intent to give you the true word of God so that you might know the truth and be set free from the oppression of the evil one. Please do not let anger and arrogance prevent you from reading carefully. Give careful thought to all that you hear today, If in fact you have ears to hear. Thank you for your willingness to listen.

My first question for you is this:

Why was the Mosaic law given? Your answer might resemble this:

The Mosaic Law was given to guide Israel in living as God’s covenant people, to define right and wrong, to organize their society, and to show human need for God’s mercy and direction.

I would like to ask you this: was the law ever truly able to destroy sin? Are mere men truly able to uphold a law that requires perfection? The answer is no. We’re all humans and we make mistakes.

You might say that while we make mistakes, Allah is merciful and just. He forgives us our sins as long as we try to do what’s good.

Now let me give you a scenario:

Let’s say I go and murder someone. I’m taken to court and the Judge ask me, did you kill this person? And I say yes. But Judge, I’ve donated thousands of dollars to Charity. Because of this, the Judge finds no fault.

Is this a just verdict?

By no means. This Judge is corrupt. But we know, that our God is just and merciful. He’s also perfect. And because he’s perfect, the two qualities will never contradict each other.

How serious of an offense do you believe it to be to sin against the almighty God? There is none greater than him. There is none more loving than him. There is no higher authority than him. Any sin against him requires blood shed. Do you believe this?

If every sin against him requires blood shed, then what man can fulfill the law and set us free?

To fulfill the law it must be a man. Because sin entered the world through man. God is just, he will not forget this.

But man is corrupt from the fall, the flesh stained from sin, unable to truly do what is good and pleasing in the Lords sight.

We also know that everything is used for Gods glory. No man will boast in his presence. He’s the great almighty God. No man will have is glory.

God is good, perfect and upright. Therefore, it must also be God who fulfills the law.

So how do you reconcile this? God comes in the form as a man. Jesus Christ being both man and God lives a perfect life.

We are both flesh and Spirit. The flesh is in rebellion to God since the fall. It’s of the evil one and incapable of doing anything good. But The Spirit of God which is received by the word of God is perfect. All goodness comes from his Spirit.

Because Jesus was both a man of flesh and God, he was able to do something no man could ever do. Fulfill the law and condemn sin in the flesh.

So now, there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Because by his spirit that has overcome death and fulfilled the law and by his word, we’re given a new life that’s hidden in Christ Jesus. Our flesh will be completely destroyed. But our spirit that was given by the word of God, by the grace and mercy of God, gives us the free gift of eternal life through his son Jesus Christ.

Why does God allow suffering?

Someone asked me this question today. So now I want to provide the answer I was given to give to them publicly. I’m sure there is someone else out there asking the same questions.

You essentially asked me why a good God would do little things for his people while allowing mass suffering.

I assume you ask me this under the assumption that this world is Gods world. This isn’t true. This world is not of God but of the evil one.

Here’s a verse to consider carefully:

“The one who does what is sinful is of the devil. The reason the son of God appeared was to destroy the devils work.”

Now, the word of God teaches us that ALL have sinned and have falling short of the glory of God. If this is true, then we are all of the devil.

Think about it. Look around. All of us are governed by our pride, our lust, our evil desires. Do you not see this? Regardless of how obvious this is, we still operate under the misconception that we’re inherently good. But this is a lie.

There is none that are righteous and do what is right. No, not even one.

How is it you focus only on rape and murder while not realizing pride, envy, lies etc. are just as horrible?

The evil in this world is carried out by evil humans who have been deceived by the evil one and follow their own ungodly desires. But they were all created by God.

So now two questions remains:

Why doesn’t God stop it?
Why would God allow it in the first place?

Let’s start with question one.

My belief is this:

God is the almighty God. He uses all the evil for good to shame the evil ones and to fulfill his own purpose and will. To prove himself holy and worthy of all praise before the entire world. And this, he will do.

Let’s use a real world example.

Apostle Paul. He was deceived by the evil one and used to commit mass murder. Satan used him for harm. God didn’t stop it. He didn’t have to. Instead, he did something even better. He opened Paul’s eyes. He showed the whole world that there is no power higher than his own.

And then he used Paul. A murderer, an evil and wicked man. He used him and created churches, gave words of life to the people of God, even giving his very own life to serve the Almighty.

Because in Christ Jesus, even a murderer, one despised by the world can be used for greatness.

But what about innocent children who are being raped and murdered? Why does God allow this? Why not intervene?

But let me ask you one question first, why do you think it happens at all? We’ve covered that humans are evil. That’s not what I’m asking. I’m asking you, what is the enemy’s motive behind it? What does he use it for? The answer is simple: to destroy you.

When we focus on the evils in the world, it’s impossible to focus on the goodness of God that can save you. It’s a distraction.

But let me answer the other questions.

People falsely assume that all people are of God. This is a lie. Not all people are of God. The people God for knew and predestined are of God. Not because of anything they did, but because of who he is. No evil will ever befall the Lords people.

Let’s use another example.

Let’s say there’s a little girl. She grows up to be a child of God and does many mighty works for God. But let’s say when this daughter of God was a child she was horrifically raped. it makes you sick to your stomach, doesn’t it? We could leave the story there. A poor little girl victimized by the evil of this world. But God doesn’t do that. Instead this little girl grew to become a woman of God and used her experience to testify to the glory of God, resulting in many life’s being saved. The girl is no longer a victim. The girl is a warrior empowered by God.

The evil in this world has many uses. Testimonies and good works, all of which are attributed back to God for the glory of God.

So now, even what we perceive to be evil is being used for good. The enemy has no power. Nothing he does can compare to God.

The light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it.

This world we live in now is only temporary, we suffer for a little while but all who share in his sufferings will also share in his glory.

“Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of the death I will fear no evil, for you are with me, your rod and your staff they comfort me.”

With God, the murderer can become a giver of life and a victim can become a warrior. The loveless become loved and the fools become wise.

This world is temporary and everything in it will fade away. For the children of God, a new world will be given to us. A world with no more sorrow, no pain, no despair. Only joy and love. For the wicked ones, no place will be found. Only eternal torment.

I have a specific piece of scripture I think will be helpful for you:

So then he has mercy on whomever he wills, and he hardens whomever he wills.
You will say to me then, “Why does he still find fault? For who can resist
his will?” But who are you, O man, to answer back to God? Will what is molded say to its molder, “Why have you made me like this?” Has the potter no right over the clay, to make out of the same lump one vessel for honorable use and another for dishonorable use? What if God, desiring to show his wrath and to make known his power, has endured with much patience vessels of wrath prepared for destruction, in order to make known the riches of his glory for vessels of mercy, which he has prepared beforehand for glory— even us whom he has called, not from the Jews only but also from the Gentiles?

Testimony

TMI warning, skip if you don’t want to read it)

Hello! I wanted to share something amazing God did for me this morning. You can decide whether you believe me or not, and if you don’t it’s alright.

Last night I was looking for some tampons, I only had two left that day and I had run out. I looked everywhere. I looked in my bathroom closet. There was nothing but an empty box. Complety empty.

I had to use gauze pads. Uncomfortable but strangely effective.

That morning, I woke up late for work. All of my alarms, besides one at 6:00 am had been manually turned off. I thought maybe I turned them off in my sleep (though I have no memory of waking up at all) or there was a glitch in the system.

I woke up and took a shower. I was putting some product in my hair and thinking how much I didn’t want to use a gauze pad for work lol. I thought to myself, I wonder if God could just make it appear for me.

I quickly pushed that idea out of my head. No. He couldn’t do that.

But for some reason, I checked the bathroom closet again. The box that had been completely empty was now completely full and unopened. I was in disbelief. I thought maybe it had been there and I just didn’t see it.

But I only bought on box. I remembered checking that empty box. I remember looking in that empty box hoping there was just one tampon that I might have missed. I remember there being nothing.

I was amazed and began to tell everyone about it. Not many believed me. Which is understandable. It does seem more likely that I just looked over it and it had always been there.

But I know what I saw, I know what I experienced.

The second I doubted My God was the second he proved me wrong. I’ve shared this experience for those who will believe it so that we can rejoice and praise God for his works and acts of kindness.
