16F searching for someone my age to help me learn Polish :))

I'm 16F so please be my age if you decided to DM. I'm really interested in studying Slavic languages but specifically Polish. So far I have exposed myself to the language more and used learning apps but it's more difficult to do it on my own as i think having a native speaker help me would be more efficient. Thanks! :)

(16F) Can anyone please tell me what is wrong with my hips? Are they deformed?

I (16F) am about 5'4/162cm tall, and weigh 112lbs/51kg. My main issue is that my body looks normal, but due to puberty my hips became way too long to the point where it looks disproportionate. When I press down on my hips, I feel a hard bone, and no fat, meaning it is my bone structure that I cannot change. I have shown this to multiple other people and they all agree with me that my hips look very long and have a strange shape. I am starting to become desperate, because I compare with every girl and don't under stand why they dont have hips like these.

Here is an image of an outline I traced over an image of my body:

https://imgur.com/a/CoqyYfN

I am becoming very desperate and obsess over this everyday. It's not just in my head, multiple people have agreed and confirmed it to me that my hips are very long and a very strange shape . Is this a deformity?

Is keeping a posture that relieves my back pain while strengthening the muscles bad/unnatural?

I (16F) have rounded shoulders that go forward and low and present a slouched posture. This started in childhood and caused me a lot of physical pain everyday

Pushing my shoulders back like what everyone advises never helped me because they were still in the slouched position as before, and only my ribs and pelvis would push forward, causing an unnatural tilt which worsened my pain and gave me hip pain that spread to my knees

Recently I have been working on correcting the pain and posture through exercises and stretches, and in the process have found that pushing my shoulders slightly up and back fixes my back pain. It does not fix the muscular issues causing the rounded shoulders, those will be fixed by the exercises and stretches, but it almost completely relieves my back pain to the point where I havent experienced any back pain ever since I started doing this movement

I have a relative close to me that constantly analyzes and inspects my appearance, and recently they kept staring at my shoulders, and told me to stop keeping them in that movement and that its unnatural and then placed their hands on my shoulders and started pressing them down, trying to force them into the painful slouching posture I had before

No one else has noticed that I do this movement except for my mother who complemented my posture and was very glad that its improving, so I don't think it looks exaggerated

Is my alternative to stopping the back pain really that incorrect? I feel very ashamed/humiliated after that relative tried to force my shoulders back into the painful posture and can't stop overthinking :( thanks!

Is keeping a posture that relieves my back pain while working on strengthening the muscles bad/unnatural?

I (16F) have rounded shoulders that go forward and low and present a slouching posture. This started in childhood and caused me a lot of physical pain everyday

Pushing my shoulders back never helped me because they were still in the same slouched position as before, and only my ribs and pelvis would push forward (causing an unnatural tilt) which caused me even more lower back pain

Recently I have been working on correcting the posture through exercises and stretches, and in the process have found that pushing my shoulders slightly up and back fixes my back pain. It does not fix the muscular issues causing the rounded shoulders, those will be fixed by exercise and stretches, but it completely relieves my back pain to the point where I havent experienced any back pain whatsoever ever since I started using this movement

I have a relative who is close to me that constantly observes/inspects my appearance and other peoples appearsnces, and recently they kept staring at my shoulders, and told me to stop keeping them in that movement, and that its unnatural and even placed their hands on my shoulders and started pushing very hard onto them trying to push them down, which would have moved them back into the painful slouching posture I had before. For context no one else has noticed me doing this movement but this person, so it doesn't look "weird" or "exaggerated"

Is my alternative to stopping the back pain by slightly lifting my shoulders up and back so they're no longer slouched really that unnatural and incorrect? I am not trying to imply it is my final posture or that it will fix the issue long term, that will be fixed by strengthening the muscles, but it relieves my physical pain. I just feel ashamed/humiliated after that person tried to "move" my shoulders in the old slouching posture and keep overthinking it:(. Thanks!

16F need an accountability partner/someone to guide me as a fitness beginner

I am 16F with no access to the gym and on top of already disliking my current appearance, I also struggle with hip and back pain and postural issues that I suspect are related to my muscles

I also have a job and at times feel de motivated to workout when I get home or have fears about it being pointless and not seeing the changes that I want in my appearance

I would appreciate finding an accountability partner or someone who can guide me. My DM requests are open, thanks!

What are the expected changes in physical appearance in women after fixing in anterior pelvic tilt?

I am aware of the most common ones being that the glutes appear smaller, the stomach is flatter from the side, the back is straight, and sometimes the person is slightly taller

But how about from the front view? How are the hips, legs, shoulders, etc, impacted visually?

(16F, 162cm, 115lbs) Very stiff appearing arms, shoulders, and elbows, accompanied by a torso tilted to the side and sort of asymmetrical elongated hips that cause a crease at the waist. What could these clusters of issues be caused by and what can I do to solve them?

(16F, 162cm, 112lbs) Whenever I look at myself from behind, my neck always seems extremely short as if my shoulders are hunched up and I have two prominent bulges near my neck as if they are excess fat. My arms always seem stiff, in an uncomfortable posture which causes a deep crease in my shoulders, and I have rounded scapulas as well.

My hips seem asymmetric as well. The top part of my hip (where the pelvis is) also seems to protrude very high up to the point where I have diagonal creases at my waist from behind.

When I try putting my shoulders in the proper posture a deep crease forms in my back as if fat is being squeezed. My neck also once again appears very stiff and everything is in an uncomfortable position overall. Legs at times seem to not be symmetrically positioned.

I have constant upper thigh and hip soreness, knee pain, and glute pain that can be compared to the deep pain you feel when you step in extremely cold water

Since I am a minor I can't post images but here is a rough outline of my back, neck, arms, legs, and hips from behind.

The grey lines are just shadows and creases but the black lines are the overall outline

(16F, 162cm, 112lbs) I have rounded shoulders and when I try using the proper posture, a very prominent crease appears in my upper back as if my skin is being squeezed, how can this be fixed?

I am active and at a healthy weight for my height/age however whenever I try using the proper posture the fat on my back bunches up together and forms a very deep vertical crease that looks like fat being squeezed. Does this indicate the wrong posture or do I just have too much back fat?

Since I am a minor I can't post a pic but I do have a sketch to present the issue:

Small shoe size friendly brands that aren't also narrow at the toes/foot?

Hi guys! I have a shoe size of around 5-5.5women's (35.5EU) and although the size isn't abnormally small, I often come across difficulties when shopping for shoes in person where it fits most of my foot but is too narrow at the toes if it's a size 5.5 to the point where my toes don't even fit in the shoe sometimes! Size 6 shoes on the other hand tend to be slightly too wide and while I can wear them, I would like to own a well fitting pair of shoes in my actual size for once lol

I am also located in the U.S

All recommendations are appreciated!!

How do I visually narrow my jaw?

I have a very wide face naturally (broad forehead and cheekbones) and recently in the past 1-2years my jaw started looking a lot wider and more square which makes my face look less feminine. I also got an orthodontic x-ray and the results stated I have severe brachyfacial and almost no jaw slope.

I have a very bad habit of grinding my teeth in my sleep especially on my left side which might have caused my muscles to broaden, and when I pull back my face fat my jaw is significantly narrower and smaller

The issue is I am already thin for my height and even when I was underweight the jaw fat wouldn't go away, so I can't lose any more weight. I have considered a night guard for my issues but my parents are considering getting me Invisalign which can't be worn with a night guard

Next to the average girl/woman I look super broad and square

All advice is appreciated

(15F, 5'3.5, 112lbs) Feeling extremely discouraged about achieving my goals due to my body shape, could anyone please offer me advice?

I am 15F, my starting point was 103lbs, I am currently 112-115lbs and fluctuate a bit. My goal weight is around 120-125lbs

My main reason for trying to gain weight is appearance related, as I have felt that I have incredibly, out of proportion skinny legs for a long time, even when I was a child I noticed how disproportionate my legs are compared to my body

The issue is, I naturally have very long legs which means that the muscle and fat on them is more stretched out. I also unfortunately have very flared out high hips which basically makes my thighs look even narrower and more disproportionate in comparison.

Here is an image of a woman with a similar hip shape to me, I have a slimmer version of it:

https://imgur.com/a/r7NoUOW

When I gain weight, I also unfortunately have a tendency to gain a lot of the weight on the sides of my hips/back meaning that my thighs still don't look bigger compared to the rest and remain just as disproportionate as before

I have been working out my thigh muscles but I am honestly feeling incredibly discouraged and demotivated by how long and stretched out my legs are and how my high hips make my thighs look smaller than they truly are

At the same time, I also want to gain more fat and softness on my body which has been the goal from the start, and I am resorting to building muscle out of desperation, Im really not into the athletic look

How exactly do I balance my goals out and actually achieve them? I feel extremely discouraged. All advice is appreciated

(15F) My sister keeps saying her bigger thighs are " wide bone structure" and uses it to imply my bones are narrower/less filled out for having slimmer legs. How do I not feel hurt by her comments?

So I'm 15F and I’m on the slimmer side for my height and sort of fit because I work out. I have an older sister who is taller than me and also at a higher weight than me (she isnt skinny but also not chubby, just average) and most of her body fat is in the thigh/lower body region (kind of like a saddlebag appearance, I'm not trying to use this term in an insulting way!) but I wouldn't say she has wide hips as in, an actually wide protruding pelvis. We are both perfectly healthy, just at different weights

Whenever I’m looking at myself in the mirror, she’ll walk in front of me and completely block my reflection and then start looking at her thighs or talking about how wide her "hips" look. She keeps labeling her thighs which store more fat as "wide hips" due to bone structure even though its clearly her thighs that are wide. Even if I stand super close to the mirror, she still will walk in front of the tiny gap between me and the mirror and completely cover me

She obsessively stares in the mirror to the point where I recall a time where she physically pushed me away from a mirror in a public bathroom while I was drying my hands (the mirror was above the sink) while I had a badly injured ankle just to look at her body for the next five minutes

Recently, I bought a dress for my upcoming birthday, but it ended up being too big on me around the back, waist, and mid-thigh/knee area. I suggested that my sister try it on to see if it would fit her better

After she tried it on, I asked if it fit her or if it was also loose around the legs. She said, “no its not because my bones fill out the dress more than yours,” while gesturing at her thighs. It almost sounded like she was, VERY unnecessarily implying that the reason the dress was too big on me is because my thigh bone structure is too narrow, and her bones are more wide which is why the dress wasn't big on her. The dress was clearly OVERALL too big for me and actually fine at the upper thigh, it was the knees /lower thighs that were baggy which is what I was asking her about in the first place, not the "upper thighs"

This is not the first time she has made comments like this. She often claims her thighs are prominent because of her very wide bone structure and "wide hips", but from what I can tell, she has normal/smaller hips that dont protrude outward and just carries more body fat in her thighs and legs. Whenever a skirt or dress doesn’t fit her thighs, she says it’s because her bones or hips are too wide

The part that bothers me is not her body shape. There is nothing wrong with her body. What hurts is that she keeps making comments in a way that feels like she is trying to compare herself to me and highlight that I’m more “narrow” than her.

She doesn't even assess her overall body type, she goes to the level of talking about supposed bone structure, which is genuinely impossible to see or know without a professional x ray scan, I am slim and even I wouldn't be able to confidently assess my bone structure

For example, when I tried borrowing a skirt from her, she said it would fit me since it doesn't fit over her wide hips (it didn't fit over her thighs lol) It didn’t sound like a normal fashion complaint with the tone she used, more like trying to highlight how much "wider" she is

After her comment I feel like I dont even want to wear the dress anymore, because I am scared others will also somehow think that my bones are too small or something

I just feel hurt that she keeps attributing differences in our frames to “bone structure” while using it to compare herself to me and it makes me feel like my bones are too narrow when no one can know that unless they took an x-ray or something. Its all just body fat

Am I overreacting for being upset by this? How do I deal with these comments without them getting to me so much

(15F, 5'3.5, 115lbs) Is gaining 10-15lbs in 1.5months plausible?

Hi guys, as the title states I am 15F and my starting point was 108lbs. Although I seem to be within a healthy weight range for my height now, I feel as if the number on the scale doesn't reflect my actual appearance

Although I am not especially athletic or muscular, I look significantly skinnier than women of similar heights and weights, or to be more specific, my legs and thighs looks significantly skinnier than theirs. I see girls visibly thinner than me with bigger thighs. In fact I have almost no fat on my mid and lower thigh with little fat on the upper thigh. I myself have no idea on why the number on the scale is 115 since I feel like I look so much skinnier than that

I would seriously like to change my appearance in 1.5months because that's when my birthday is and I don't want to look skinny on my birthday. However I am concerned that I won't be able to reach my goal until then or that this sudden weight gain will leave me with a lot of water weight or even sudden hormonal shifts

All advice is appreciated!

(15F) I look significantly thinner than what my weight states and I am concerned that something is wrong with me due to this

(15F) (5'3.5, 115lbs). I am on no medications, vitamins, or supplements. No formal diagnoses. I do not smoke or drink alcohol

I know the title might seem confusing, but please hear me out. As the information states I am at a normal weight for my height, however I physically look significantly skinnier, especially around the thigh region (i have extremely skinny, skeletal thighs) compared to other women of my exact height and weight to the point where I am sometimes simply (negatively) shocked when seeing myself in the mirror

I am fully aware that there are different body shapes and so on, and things such as muscle weight and fat weight differ. However I am not athletic nor muscular yet appear to have significantly less body fat than the average person of my weight and height and I do not have significant muscle to explain this. My thighs in particular are extremely skinny, and as I am aware estrogen promotes body fat in the thighs which makes me feel like either I have deformed legs or a hormonal issue causing this

This is not me trying to exaggerate my appearance, I seriously and genuinely cannot understand how I look significantly thinner than women of my height and weight and how they clearly appear to have much more body fat, to the point where Im starting to think that something is wrong with my health. My thighs appear incredibly unrealistically thin and skeletal, as if someone cut out chunks off of my thighs of fat. It completely shocks me and I am currently considering gaining 10-15 pounds or maybe even 20 to fix this appearance

Should I be concerned about hormonal problems or issues with my development? I don't believe posting images of my body is safe but I seriously can't understand why I look so disproportionately slim compared to women of similar weight and height

(15F) Can very sudden major weight gain negatively impact my development?

(15F almost 16) I am 5'3.5 and 115lbs currently however I am planning on intentionally gaining 10-15pounds very quickly because I feel too thin and I don't want to look thin on my birthday which is in less than 2months. However as I am aware sudden weight gain can sometimes impact hormones. Should I be worried about this major weight gain affecting any part of my development?

(15F) Should I be concerned about my thighs being underdeveloped due to them being smaller than my flared out hips?

I'm 15F, 5'3.5 and 115lbs. My hips are very flared out and round, but my thighs are narrower than my upper hips like in this image:

https://imgur.com/a/wC5xAy7

Does this mean that my upper thighs are just underdeveloped and they will develop later on, or that I will remain like this? Should I be worried about there being something wrong with my legs or hips due to having this appearance?

Here is an example of a body where the thighs are wider than the hips for contrast, so the differences are clearer:

https://imgur.com/a/WcPoJbk

The vast majority of adult women and girls my age I see have wider thighs than hips like in the image and all the women in my family have the trait as well, I am the only outlier with narrow thighs and flared out hips. I can't stop hyperfocusing on my small thighs and flared out hips and I am starting to genuienly think that something might be wrong with my skeletal structure or how I developed due to barely seeing women with my appearance. I don't have any physical pain, bruising, or a limp. My only concern is the appearance. Should I be worried and is this abnormal?

u/Lucky_Preparation262 — 5 months ago

(15F) Is one side of the hip being more flared out and shorter normal?

(15F almost 16), 5'3.5, 115lbs. One side of my hip (specifically the part below the waist) is more round and flared out, the other one is straighter and ends higher up. Is this difference normal or should I be concerned about asymmetries

Hey guys, me and my sister recently got into a disagreement. She claimed that if a woman's outer upper thighs are significantly wider than her hip region (pretty much a saddle bag look) it's due to her bone structure and her thigh bones being spaced farther apart causing them to stick out, compared to the pelvis.

I disagreed with her and told her that the thigh bones will always be mostly in proportion with the pelvis width because of how they are attached so if the upper outer thighs are significantly wider than the hip region it's due to body fat distribution, not skeletal structure causing this very dramatized disparity between thigh width vs pelvic width

I would appreciate answers that explain whether my view or her view is right, or whether both of us are wrong
